I walked in Thursday afternoon to get my usual closing gift for my client. Teapot is always my…read morefavorite. I usually have my flowers with me as I walk in. The two employees that have been there forever are always so helpful. They cut the flowers I bring in and add water to whatever I decide on. Well this time was a different experience. As the young girl rang me up and older lady was standing at the counter and I asked if she can put the flowers in the pot and add the pretty pink bow they always do to complete the look. Well, she yelled at me and said "she can not put the flowers in" here I am thinking maybe due to COVID. But no, she just didn't want to do that for me. I tell her "your employees always do it for me" with this confused look in my eyes (wearing my mask) well she ripped the flowers out of my hands with attitude and walked away. I asked if she was the owner and the you g girl said yes. I was appalled by her customer service. A few minutes later she came back with the teapot and my flowers in her hand and said "i asked all my full time employees if they do this and they all said no!" She hands me my pot and flowers and I in shock!! The young girl that had helped me apologized for the owner as she walked away and closed the door to the back room. Here I am helping small businesses out and I get yelled at and called a liar!!! Here are a few photos taken at her store where they put the flowers and pink bow for me with no Complaint!!! Years ago I had a side business of artificial plants and flower arranging, and made swags, wreaths, and all kinds of arrangements for home decoration. I took pride in using high quality materials. Hobby Lobby has some of the best quality and most realistic greenery and flowers I have ever seen. (They also have less expensive lower and medium quality available, but you get what you pay for!) They also have a huge variety of flowers in natural and fashion colors to match your needs. They also have an enormous variety of fabric, ribbons, notions of all kinds, for whatever project you have in mind. I don't sew, but I needed some fabric and material to refresh some mats for a picture for my office and found just what I needed. In the past I did find buttons here to replace some on a favorite shirt. Hobby Lobby does offer custom framing and mat services, however that is quite expensive IMHO. For double mats and new glass for a 31 X 31 print in a frame the quote was $130. I didn't want to spend that much. So I reused the old mats by covering them with fresh materials purchased at Hobby Lobby (I purchased the glass separately elsewhere). It ran me less than $50 and I like it better than with traditional mats. (picture is included). Even if you are not into doing a craft yourself, there are many crafts and decoration items here already finished. It's a great place to browse and get inspired. I enjoy walking around and seeing the different sections by motif: western décor, art deco, shabby chic, old elegance, to sparkly and pink for your little girl's room. The atmosphere is always peaceful. Hobby Lobby also offers party supplies and supplies for special occasions such as a wedding (tiaras, ostrich plume pens, boutonnieres and corsages, etc.) Be aware that there are usually some kind of specials going on, such as 40% off table ware, or 30% off artificial succulents... I got 50% off the gold trim I purchased for my project. There are coupons you can get online as well. So if you think something is priced at more than what you want to pay and are patient it will likely go on sale soon!
