Both buildings had a Suite 120, one was a nail salon/spa and the other was empty and dark without signs or posters or anything in the window. I called the number and no one picked up and it didn't go to VM. This Yelp page states it should be open. So that's all I know about this place. Incidentally, the street sign for the small strip mall has a sign in that says "Cigars" but I found nothing to indicate this place was open or even currently existed.

As soon as we walked in to the business an employee immediately attended to us and helped us pick out cigars based on our preferences. We were apprehensive about the process before we went in but she completely put us at ease. Once we had made our purchases we went over to the lounge area which is separate from the walk-in humidor/purchasing space and has some very cozy couches, a bar and tables for the patrons. It was a very inviting space. We had some craft brews while the employee spoke to us about the cigars they carry, a little history on the business and other cigar recommendations for our next visit. Over all we had a great time and I would absolutely recommend Havana House to anyone new to cigars or to those who know cigars and want a relaxing space to enjoy them in.

Silver was our server and he was outstanding! The wine he recommended was excellent. We had the lobster roll and fish tacos as an appetizer and they were both delicious. I cannot recommend this place more and next time we're in town we will definitely come back.

I understand that the restaurant closes early but if we arrive before closing our food should be hot. Especially if it is a hot dish. Also, get there early if you want a booth because they won't sit you there past a certain ttime. Either your restaurant is open and all seating is available or close for the day. The staff and management need to understand that your salary is based on the client, if you want to go home early then close earlier.

The decor inside is beautiful! Then, the smells and the ambiance are just amazing! The walk in humidor has an amazing selection from pricey to cheapskate (I am the latter...). If you are a cigar aficionado and you find yourself in or around the McAllen, Texas area, be sure to check out this place! You will love it, like I did.

The ambience at night was even more warm and magical with live music and the intimate lighting. The paella is much bigger than it looks like in the picture, it was shared by 3 of us so it's the perfect family-style meal! It came in this beautiful shell-like plate. There was plenty of seafood inside and the rice was well seasoned. My friend who has visited Spain said this was very authentic. We also ordered a chocolate cake for my friend's birthday and they came out to us singing in celebration. It was a sweet gesture and made our night! Of course, the cake was decadent as well :) I will definitely have to come back.

GREAT LITTLE PLACE! Overall first impressions....it was a…read morelittle hard to find the front door. We parked in the back and walked through the back patio and were escorted by a very friendly server who knew the history of the building (impressed). She led us to the front door. Then we had to climb some very steep stairs. For the average individual it wasn't bad. But we had two seniors with us that found the steps challenging. Once inside we were greeted by the hostess and a very not so good odor (we almost walked out, it smelled musty and very old, our thoughts were the bathrooms. These need to be renovated badly). But once you get into the dining room there was no more smell. Tino was our server for the evening he did an amazing job. We ordered classic pasta (honestly it had good flavor but the sauce was very watery), the Duck (that was very good), and the Prime Rib (that was huge, that would be perfect for two people). We finished dinner and proceeded to go outside to the patio (mind you this is in January, when the weather is perfect for sitting el fresco) and had dessert. We ordered the Banana's Foster (Santana did an excellent performance, best part of the dessert) or Platanos Cajeta (huge difference) and the Flan. They were both good. This was a Saturday night and they had a duet playing acoustic guitar music (this helped top off the evening). We ended up spending a good amount of time here and enjoyed each other's company in a very nice atmosphere. Will definitely be revisiting.
