Excellent reviews on many sites and I contacted Federico thru his Facebook page, he quickly responded. Make your reservations prior to your trip or you won't get in. Federico and Fernando his driver picked us up at our port and drove us to his ristorante. Ten minute drive and we were ready to start. 6 members of our group from 15-80 years old. This by far was our favorite part of our trip. The Ristorante was a perfect setting for a cooking class and fantastic meal. We learned how to make homemade Bolognese sauce, gnocchi, eggplant parmigiana, tiramisu, veal saltimbocca. This was a hands on class not just a demonstration. Fabulous class. After we got to eat our meal and we were served farm wine which was delicious. Fernando and Federico took us on a wonderful countryside tour after this fabulous class. So worth it. Amazing day. Got the same deal. Booked a room months in advance, then they tell you there are no rooms two days before you get there, and sent us to a condemned part of town. No hyperbole. The "sister hotel" should have been shutdown, and may have been until we got there. No refund, no offer, just lies. It seemed like they rounded up anyone associated with Virgin (employees and guests) and threw them out. Everyone here is Virgin staff, maybe a few guests, and the best part is this place is worse than a hostile. The staff tried to help but only so much you can do with an abandoned property. Avoid getting ripped off. Don't pay in advance and it's still a dice roll. The hotel looked beautiful. Wish we had gotten to see it.

Its also very close to the cruise port so if your just in town for the day its only a short walk. I've had a variety of pasta dishes here and they were all pretty good. I tend to lean more towards a cream sauce when I get pasta but the pomodoro was actually one of my favorites, simple and had a nice sweetness to the tomato flavor. The pizza was good but reminded me of something I could order back home. The restaurant is always busy, but they have plenty of seating inside and out. I've returned here several times and would continue to do so in the future.
