The restaurant "il Casale' was built on an old building where it was located a post for the horses and a farm. It'is situated on the "Flaminia street" one of the main roads leading to the city of Rome. Part of the building is built into the rock of the hill where it rests. The place is, therefore, very original and charming. The restaurant was opened 50 years ago.The restaurant serves traditional Roman cuisine.
Just entered you will face a great buffet of fresh cheeses, grilled vegetables, seasonal soups, hand-cut ham, omelettes from various flavors and many dishes that changes from day to day.
The menu is not very rich but everything is cooked to perfection. All the pasta dishes are fantastic but the main dish of the restaurant is the meat.
The meat is cooked on a wood-burning grill,
and I can say that you can eat one of the best grilled meats in the city.Unfortunately the prices are not low, and the staff is not always friendly. These are the only two negative things of the restaurant, instead, about the food you can not make any criticism. The house wine is excellent and the desserts are classic but very delicious.Outside the restaurant you'll can find a big free parking. read more
