Ambiance was amazing. For a "hotel restaurant" you can really forget you're in a hotel and feel like you're in an upscale restaurant on Park Avenue. The food was great, probably some of the best lasagna I've ever had. And this dinner was on my last night in Italy. In other words, I've been eating Italian food all week and here at the Milano airport I ended up having my best example of lasagna lol. Service was also very good. I had a wonderful dinner at Il Canneto inside the Sheraton at MXP Airport. The food was delicious. I love the warm cauliflower soup with croutons for crunch. The steak is cooked to medium rare and goes well with the sauce. The highlight for me was the gelato (hazelnut and pistachio). The staff spoke English and attentive. The ambiance was opened, airy and upscale vibe. Highly recommended! read more

We usually stay at theThe Sheraton at Malpensa airport on our way in and/or of Italy. It's conveniently located in the terminal. We chose to stay in and eat at the main restaurant, I'll Canneto. While the service was nice and upscale, the food as I expected, was average at best and hotel priced. The restaurant is quite large and modern. read more

The ambience of this place was absolutely beautiful. It had a classy dinner vibe with chill music at a perfect volume. Price was perfectly reasonable for the food quality. Service was incredibly friendly and speaks multiple languages. If you're staying at the Sheraton hotel in the Milan Malpensa Airport this is a must for dinner. We dined at Il Canneto several times during our recent trip to Northern Italy. The restaurant is in the Sheraton at the Malpenza Airport. The hotel is actually attached to the airport, making for an easy transition from the airport terminal. The is also a train station below the hotel, making for an easy trip into Milan. Our first dinner there was OK, looking back it was very late in the evening. The second dinner was at a more "normal" dinner time and the food was very good. Service was very good both times. The restaurant also has a breakfast buffet, which includes made to order items. Breakfast was very good, it was busy, so the service was OK. On balance, based upon our meals at Il Canneto, we'd recommend the restaurant. read more

absolute terrible. had to eat here twice unfortunately (location, timing). first time fine in, took 5 mins for someone to look at us to sit us at a table. took 15 mins after that to get someone to our table for water. then longer to get our food. the servers were okay, but service took incredibly long. only 4-5 tables were seated with more than 6 visible employees in the restaurant and you'd think with how long everything took, they were slammed. then the food. so bland. can't believe we're in italy with absolutely bland and terrible italian food....caesar salad? where's the caesar dressing, you mean mayo? next night we ordered room service. literally none of our food was good. so incredibly bland i just....can't believe this is food coming from a "four star" hotel. i wouldn't waste your time here. if you're starting at sheraton and can get to the food court, you are much better off. these prices are ridiculous for what you're getting. it's terrible. wine was okay for price. read more

The food was actually good overall and the waiters did their best except for the fact that our waiter didn't have a trained eye on how much wine should be poured in a glass (1/3 of an inch more would have been an appropriate amount ). The worst part was the waiting. It took 40 minutes to get the appetizers and then another 15-20 min for the main course . It was busy but not that busy. . We loved the beautiful restaurant. It's gorgeous. The first course of hummus (pea - sesame, spring vegetables) may have been the best dish in all of Italy. However, all was overshadowed by horrendous service. We had to get up to find our own bread, silverware, no follow up. We were left alone for so long, we just walked out. Of course we knew they had our room number for the charge, but they made sure we signed. I wanted my last meal in Italy to be a good experience. The risotto was cold and too sweet. Il Canneto Restaurant (Malpensa). We decided to try the Sheraton hotel restaurant as we were too tired after our flight from the US to go downtown for dinner. Il Canneto Restaurant is located on the 1st floor of the Sheraton Malpensa Hotel (Terminal 1). We did not have a reservation but were quickly seated. Service is very good. They have a nice selection of dishes and were reasonably priced. We shared a ham and melon tray starter that was excellent. The melon was especially fresh. For a main course we enjoyed the risotto and a pasta dish. Both were quite good. Overall, the meal at Il Canneto Restaurant was solid; 4.5 stars for our meal. read more

I was very impressed by my first meal in Milan. I stayed at the Sheraton out of convenience and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the restaurant. The plant game was strong, and they even had tiny real bonsai trees at tables. The service was friendly and prompt. My tagliatelle came out piping hot and delicious. Good olive oil for the bread. I loved how many trees and vines surrounded the windows. The natural light in the restaurant gave me a lot of joy. The servers suggested a lovely red wine to accompany my meal. They left me alone to read my book and I felt very comfortable as a solo diner. I couldn't have imagined a better experience. The portion size was perfect, enough that I didn't crave dessert I would have gladly returned for another meal! read more

This is the restaurant located in the Milan Malpensa hotel, 1st floor, and that means the floor right above registration on the 0th floor. I was here a year ago and totally in love with it. But this time, the food at night was lackluster. Cold rolls but tasty. Ravioli was hard, not really al dente. It just seemed dry and not succulent, but I did like the fish with the sweet orange rind. They should highlight the fish or don't even mention it in the description. The fish strips ate more like fish bits. The am breakfast is satisfactory. They have someone making omelets so that's very nice for Americans used to big American breakfasts, and they still have all the basics of a great European type breakfast too. One huge highlight for me, the impressive honeycomb. Ive never seen one quite like it. read more

Convenient is the main feature here. Like most restaurants near an airport, this place has an almost endless supply of customers and cares not much about quality. I had a tepid plate of so so lasagna and a greek salad delivered without dressing. Had a chat with the manager who insisted the only available dressing for a Greek salad was olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I made do. He swore up and down that there was no other dressings in the house. Unless you are dying of hunger, give this crummy place a miss. Milan is full of far better offerings. read more

For when you don't have other options, but it's still a good option. Provided you have time to kill, because the service is attentive but definitely not fast. If you ask for an expedited service they're usually on top of their game. But what matters most, is that the food looks great and tastes better, you can definitely tell that a chef is behind the menu options, with some unusual entries for both fish and meat. If you're tired of the ubiquitous chicken and grilled salmon, the monkfish medallions are an excellent and fairly rare dish. Even the classics are well executed, and if you're unfortunate enough to periodically pass through Malpensa airport, you might get to try them all, since the menu is not too dense. Still, while it's in line with other restaurants at the Sheraton chain, it's a treat inside an airport. Especially this airport, where you have to walk a mile just to get to your gate. Fatten up, and bon voyage. read more
