My 5 month old has been attending iKids for about 3 months now and I've been very happy with the care he receives. All the ladies in the infant room are truly wonderful and I feel confident my son is in great hands each day. My baby was enrolled there from April 2019 through August 2019 in the infant room. The care my baby recorded there was significantly inadequate, bordering on negligent. In that short period of time she attended iKids, she was given someone else's breast milk by staff who did not check name labels on the bottle and bitten twice. In 4 months. I asked that the mother be tested as breast milk can pass on viruses and HIV. They would not tell me who the mother was but communicated my request to her. The mother agreed and Cindy Gough (principal) asked that the results be submitted to the daycare only. The principal would not share an actual copy of the test results with my pediatrician, citing confidentiality. I asked her to black out the name and all identifying info but she refused. She TYPED UP THE RESULTS and sent them to me via email. Needless to say, the pediatrician stated that there was no way to guarantee the accuracy of the results. Each time my daughter was bitten, we were notified with a note in her food cubby-no email or phone call. Mind you, we receive emails when she is out of diapers or wipes. During one of the times my daughter was bitten, the biter broke through her skin. The staff did not clean her wound or notify us by phone or email. They just put an ice pack on it. I was upset and spoke to Brittany Harold (supervisor of the infant room) was also very vague in what happened and kept citing "confidentiality." I never asked who the specific kid was, just of it was the same or different kid. She would not tell me. "Confidentiality" she said. I asked her to keep that kid away from my kid. She said she couldn't guarantee it and that it's just normal that kids bite bc they don't have language. IN THE INFANT ROOM? How is that normal? Is the biter a zombie baby? I was upset and talked to the principal about biting in the infant room. She told me she was unaware that my child had ever been bitten. They also denied that the bite broke her skin. I took a picture of it and sent it to the Ms. Gough, who reiterated there was no bleeding or discharge, despite the fact that you can see the bite broke her skin and that it was swollen. I contacted her pediatrician who told me that human bites need to be cleaned ASAP because the risk of infection is high. My pediatrician was also concerned with the fact that she had been bitten twice in such a short amount of time and that they only treated it with an ice pack. I am writing this review because it broke my heart to send her to iKids while we searched for a new daycare. Leaving your baby in someone else's care is hard enough. This was heart wrenching for us and if I hope this review will warn families of the subpar care this facility provides. Clearly, their priority was not my daughter's well being and safety. Luckily we found a wonderful home daycare where they put my child's safety first. She is no longer coming home with severe diaper rashes and appears more alert and happy. My only regret is that I didn't find this place first and avoid iKids altogether. While biting can occasionally happen, it was the staff members' responses that "this is normal" and lack of communication and concern that was the most concerning. My daughter went to this school for only a month. It just didn't work out for us. Teachers were nice but my daughter was obviously not happy. I enrolled her when she was about 8 months. My decision to switch school was because my daughter came home with deep nail marks on her face. One of the kids scratched her face when the teacher was not around. I understand these things happen but not in the infant room?? The lesson for me as a new mom was- trust your instincts. My daughter is now in a new day care where she is much happier. That being said, it is not a bad school but I guess every child is different and they may not all thrive in the same environment. Long over due review. My daughter started in the infant room after leaving another local facility. After some time to adjust, she did wonderfully! I toured so many daycares and this was the only place that did not have a daycare "scent." All the teachers are meticulous about cleaning, which I love. The staff are so warm and inviting. They really make you feel like part of the family. We've moved up two classrooms now, and my clinger couldn't be happier! As a first time mom and educator, I knew exactly what I was looking for & iKids hit every mark! And it's a Christian based daycare/school! So grateful we got in. My kids were previously in a private daycare for 2 years and while I have nothing against in home daycare's, placing them at IKIDS has been the best thing I could have ever done for them. They wake up every morning and look forward to getting ready for school! They have picked up on great mannerisms and have become extremely respectful. My daughter started at ikids when she was 14 months old. This year, she graduated from the preschool program there. We are very happy of the education and training that ikids provided for all these years. My daughter was potty trained and had learned how to eat independently at the school. I love ikids! They are so good to my daughter. she started at 2 1/2 months old and she loves this place. She is now 19 months and has learned so much. First of all, if you're here reading these views, Congrats the first and most important thing as a parent is to do your homework on the best school experiences for your children. Your child's safety and first educational experiences is nothing to take lightly. My son started here when he was 16 months old (at their old location) even tho it is a bit farther from us now it is worth the 10 extra mins of a drive every day. He is my first and only son so this was our very first schooling experience. When I knew it was time to pick a school for my son I went out and toured all the local schools in the area and chose iKids. I chose them for the safe and friendly environment. They have a curriculum and do various activities every week within a new theme. My son just turned 5 and is in his last year there but he has learned so much from his school. He is book smart, creative, has great manners, and he learned all of this with the help from his supportive caring and nurturing teachers. There are many pros of choosing this school such as the good structured curriculum, great teachers and staff, great communications with parents. If I had to do it all over again I would still choose for my son to attend iKids for his early learning years. read more

My son started here just after he turned 2. He is now 5 1/2 and graduating from the pre-K program to start K in the fall. They helped us potty train him; socialize him; teach him what he needs to know to start kindergarten; and, much more. This is also a safe, affordable option for daycare and preschool. Many of my son's classmates have younger siblings here, too, so that tells you that parents have enough confidence and trust in the staff here to put more than one child in this preschool. Cindy and Rene were also very patient, gracious and kind to my wife and myself and for that we're very grateful. I enrolled my 4 year old daughter in the three full day program which is M, W, and F at $685 per month plus a $145 registration fee plus another $43 FACTS payment system registration fee. The existing reviews looked great and the location of the facility was nearby work. My daughter had never had a preschool experience before this and she was coming into the program a couple months later than the other children who were there. On her first day, I took her to the preschool and saw that she was happy to stay with the other children and was all smiles, I then left for work feeling like she would be in good hands. During the day, I didn't receive any calls or emails saying there were any issues so I didn't feel the need to interrupt and call or show up to see how things were going with my daughter. When my work day was over, and I arrived at the facility to pick up my daughter, I walked into the classroom, made eye contact with the teacher, she looked away from me and continued her business with the other students who were just sitting quietly in their seats. I turned away and helped my child gather her belongings and again turned and looked at the teacher, she turned away from me again not saying a word. My daughter turned her classmates saying "Bye friends!" and we just walked out. It felt awkward but I just figured the teacher must not have had anything to say that needed to be addressed. I waited to see if I would receive an email for her as the teachers school day was coming to an end but nothing came. The next day, in the late afternoon, on my daughters day off from school, I received an email from the teacher telling me that my daughter resisted every direction given and that she had been talking back to all teachers and aides. Towards the end of the email, she concluded by saying that there needs to be improvement if my daughter is to continue at iKids. While I know my daughter does talk back on occasion at home, the extent to what the teacher was describing was very surprising the kicker was the threat of kicking my daughter out of their program after her very first day.On the morning of her second day, I made it a point to speak with one of the lady's in charge of the facility that morning. I expressed to her my concerns to which she was defensive and accentuated how bad my daughter behaved every chance she got. It was as if my daughter was a monster to these people. She then said to me that it was my daughters second day behaving this way in their preschool?? she had only been there one day! it was strange. I finished my conversation with her by saying that I will be working with my daughter as I know she is a bright little girl who is very caring and sweet. I expressed to her that I want my child to have a fair shot at iKids and I do not want her dismissed or given up on after her very first day. During her second day, I called the facility twice and had been messaging back and forth with an instructor who sent me a couple of pictures of my child participating in class projects. Each time I was told she was willingly participating and that it was a night and day difference from her first day. While I am not denying or excusing my daughter from talking back on her first day, I did wonder in what manner was my daughter being spoken to for her to lash out in this manner. At the end of her second day, I walked into her classroom with the intent to speak with the different instructor who watched over the class that day. She was not forthcoming with how my child's second day went considering all of the issues that they made me aware of. I had to pull the information out of her by asking her several questions. Shouldn't a preschool teachers personality be a bit more bubbly? More outspoken? informative? she wasn't any of these things just like the first one who gave my child the bad report on her first day. Also, upon picking my child up, my daughter told me how hungry she was. She asked to eat her school lunch in the car so I took her out to eat after her school day to make sure she got a good dinner. I opened her lunch box to find almost everything unopened with the exception of her juice and 1 other snack. It happened on both days she attended.With tuition at $685 a month, they couldn't at least open her lunch items to give her the option to eat or snack on ALL of her food? I am not asking the teachers to hand feed my kid but at that expense I would hope that they would do more encouraging and open all items in the children's lunch boxes to give them the choice to eat them. The same goes for a child who comes into the program late and on their first day. I would hope for more encouragement maybe even have an aide get to know the child on their first day and not apply strict curriculum on that child's first day until they settle into the class structure. lastly My child's shoes were filled with sand at the end of each day, I find it hard to believe she did not complain. - This was OUR experience. read more

I claim to be iKids' #1 fan! It was really tough knowing I had to go back to work and I had to leave my baby in someone else's care but they have done such a wonderful job! The teachers are so receptive to your concerns, they listen and accommodate. My baby is learning so much, just this weekend we realized she knows some words in sign language. And even though she's a bit of a picky eater, they have done their part in making sure she gets some nutrients in her during this phase. AMAZING & SAFE place for your kids to thrive! I had my daughter in IvyCrest Montessori before I changed to iKids. The difference was dramatic! I will use IvyCrest as a comparison in case you're like me and wonder what people mean by "different." ***She just ended her time at iKids for Kindergarten, so now I can write a fully educated, unbiased review. SAFETY: The front door is locked and you have to punch in a code to enter. I loved this extra layer of safety. The staff is also safety-minded without being paranoid. My daughter was never injured other than the normal bruises from playing like a toddler should. (She left IvyCrest Montessori with 5 stitches in her forehead and a big scar. When they called us and we picked her up to rush her to the hospital, they ran out to our car and said "Wait! You have to go back in and sign out or we will charge you $10! It was the last straw in a series of disappointments that made us realize IvyCrest didn't care about the kids or the parents - just the money.) PRICE: It is much less expensive than many out there. I paid about $830 for ALL day care (7:00 am - 6:00pm). I didn't need the entire time everyday, but for busy, working parents this is an incredible price. They use an automatic debit system which made it effortless to pay tuition - it just came out of your account the same day every month. (At IvyCrest I was paying over $1350 (but that included their lunch program that I liked because I wanted my daughter to try new foods). iKids does not have a lunch option, but I quickly learned that packing a lunch is far easier and cheaper than I thought it would be.) MY ENJOYMENT: I love the staff at iKids! I never felt stressed, judged, or unsupported. They are so flexible, kind, and supportive. They are continuously finding ways to make their connection with parents even stronger. From installing a coffee bar with all the fixings to make your morning easier to adopting the Remind App to keep you informed through a simple text message. They even started using another App that tells parents their babies feedings, diaper changes, naps, etc. When I asked if my daughter could have a bouncy house with sprinklers that would cool off the kids for her 4th birthday, they worked with me to pick one out that would be safe for every age that plays on the play ground - even measured the area with me to make sure it would fit. They were there for the company to drop it off and when they picked it up...my daughter had an amazing birthday and I didn't have to do anything other than order the bounce house - what preschool is that flexible and so willing to work with you? They are truly special! HER ENJOYMENT: My daughter loved going to iKids - barely even said goodbye to me in the mornings - which parents can understand is a great sign of how much the love their preschool. She was there ALL DAY (8am-6pm) and if I picked her up earlier than normal, she would ask me to come back later because she wasn't done playing with her friends or wanted to work on another craft. At IvyCrest she would cry and cling to me when I dropped her off and cling to me when I picked her up and would not let go until she was buckled in her car seat. CURRICULUM: I'm a professor and am in charge of insuring that all of the curriculum my college meets the state standards...so...I'm a stickler when it comes to this issue. I also know that kids need to learn at the appropriate pace and that learning should be fun so that they learn to love school and are excited and motivated to learn! iKids did just that! My daughter is far ahead of other kids her age when it comes to sounding out letter, knowing how to blend letters, and is starting to read. At this age, we don't push her at home, but if we were those parents, she would be fully reading by now. She counts to 60, can identify numbers up to 30 without any hiccups, writes her name, knows her letters, writes her letters, can rhyme, etc... RELIGION: It's a Christian program, but many of the kids there are from Christian families. That leads me to believe that those families felt the religious portion of the program worked for their families. We are Christians and attend Crosspointe Church in Yorba Linda. We liked that there was religion taught and that she learned to say prayer. She was never asked to memorize Bible verses, but knows many of the fundamental Bible stories. They also play secular (kid appropriate) music at times. They had a little stretch/dance party time in the morning and she loved the Kidz Bop version of Who Let the Dogs Out. :) She had FUN, but also learned to love God. Many of the friends we've made are from other religions (Buddhist, non-practicing, etc), but they choose iKids based on the curriculum. Having said that, they seemed to like the moral aspect iKids instilled in their children. So, if your not a religious family - don't let that scare you away. SUMMARY: iKids is AWESOME! read more

Parents beware! You really need to do your research before signing your kids up for a stressful experience. My wife and I heard good things about this place. We were in for a surprise. Our son, who just turned three had a great experience at first with the school. Yet, after a week into attending his behavior was completely negative towards going to school.And we came to find out that our little guy was stressing with his afternoon teacher. I child should not have to be put through that,day in an day out. They are kids! We brought it to the attention of the director and she was totally defensive.Really! What happen with being open and understanding. Parents, we all know that each child is different.But apparently ikids doesn't understand the meaning of that. If you know your child, like we know our's. I would think that all children should be treated with love, compassion, and understanding. Ikids has a problem with understanding that. We decided to pull our son away from that at the 2nd week. And after paying for the whole month $725 we couldn't get prorated for the rest of the remaining month. Parents, unless you are ok with throwing your money away into a business that isn't going to give the love and attention that your child needs. Than do yourself a favor and don't send them to ikids ! read more

After 3 years at iKids we have only positive things to say. Our daughter is moving on to Kindergarten this year more prepared than I had dreamed of and it is really all attributable to this amazing preschool! I remember chuckling when I signed her up as they said their goal was to have all of their graduates reading by the time they leave and, to my amazement, our daughter was reading *well* by the time graduation came around. Our daughter loved every day at this school. She has created special bonds with the teachers and friendship that will last for years to come. I was holding back tears when I left the last day. Miss Renee is always super helpful with any administrative questions. Miss Brittany, Miss Alanna, Miss Kenae, and really all of the teachers and assistants are so kind and loving, our daughter is going to miss them all so much! I have had my 3 year old son at Ikids since he was 4 months old. It is a bright, clean safe, environment where I always felt good leaving my child. I love their curriculum and how they work with the kids and their independent needs. I've always felt that all of the teachers have recognized my sons personality and individual strengths and weaknesses to help him grow. My son has grown into a smart, loving, disciplined boy who I credit largely in part to his time spent at Ikids. All of the teachers are truly amazing, but Char will always hold a special place in my sons heart. They share a special bond! Unfortunately, we have moved out of the area and we need to find a preschool close to home. We love Ikids so much that we have been commuting an hour each way to keep him there, but the drive is killing us. I highly recommend Ikids to all of my friends and family. I am really happy taking my son here. There really wasn't any other preschool I toured that impressed me as much. I was attracted to the location, safety measures such as key code entry, clearly presented pricing, and flexible hours (drop off as early as 7, pick up as late as 6 for full time). I have had my 4 year old there for about four months now and have only found more to love about it. My son has a hard time when I drop him off, he cries and clings to me etc, and his teachers are so patient and helpful and sweet, I can hear them calming him down as I leave and Miss Brittany even texts me a photo of him playing happily if I am still feeling guilty after a rough goodbye. When I pick him up of course he is excited to see mommy but he is full of details about all the things they're learning about, projects they're doing, who and what he played with, etc. they have a great curriculum and my son has really learned a lot so far (each week the focus is a new letter and a new theme (countries, occupations, etc). It's very structured but they have a lot of art and playtime too. The only con I guess is that the price is a little more than I was paying for an in home daycare before but in talking with friends it is about the going rate and for the hours and the program I think I'm getting a good service for my money. My son's only complaint is "I don't like the sleeping they make me do," regarding their after lunch nap time. Sure wish I could trade places with him! I've picked up/dropped off at all hours of operation and the children always all look happy and well supervised. This is a Christian based preschool so they do have bible verse coloring pages etc, but they don't seem to push that excessively. Overall I am really happy and can't say enough good stuff about iKids. read more

The school is bright, fun, and super clean - especially compared to the other schools I toured. I especially like the fact that my children each get their own set of textbooks instead of cheesy black and white photocopies. I am a mom to a 2.5 yr old girl who attends iKids Preschool. My daughter has been attending the school since September 2014 and we absolutely love it! Some of the reasons we love this school are because the staff is super friendly, attentive and compassionate towards the needs of all the children and their families. I love how all the teachers, aides, and principal gets to know each of the children at the school and will call the kids by their first names. You are made to feel apart of a big family! My daughter's vocabulary has grown leaps and bounds, and her communication skills are far more advanced than the average kid her age which I greatly attribute to her attending iKids Preschool.
