Payed more than 2.000 euros on various household items, out of which a 1.000 euros bed which when I came home and assembled in 4 hours, noticed it is defective. Called customer support and apparently they had to send a person to see it, person who was available in 2 weeks (!!!). I kindly said that this is not acceptable, and since I have problems with a bed, they should prioritize accordingly. With complete arrogance they said that I have a mattress to sleep on. After two weeks the 'guy' came and said that indeed the bed is defective and that he will report back. After 5 days, I got another call from the joke of a customer service from IKEA saying that they will replace the entire bed. I said ok, but you have to provide delivery and assemble the new bed, since it was not my fault that the product is defective. After several min of arguing, they said to be thankful that they are bringing the new bed over... I said ok fine, and before hanging up, I was kindly told to dismount the old one :)
Long story short, IKEA has horrible customer service and this was the last straw. I will file a complaint for causing me incredible stress and for the mockery I was being put through for an entire month. I will never buy their products ever again.
I won't tell you not to buy from them, just be very careful since they clearly don't value their clients at all. read more
