I am a huge sucker for home goods stores. I think it's a sign you're becoming an adult when you start spending your money on things for your house rather than on yourself. And with Nordic/Danish design being so freaking nice, it's easy to fill your house with random stuff, especially from Notre Dame.
The design aesthetic at Notre Dame is similar to other stores of it's nature (Søstrene Grene, Tiger...) but is definitely a step up in quality (and price). I would say that Notre Dame should be compared to the likes of Bahne or Imerco but with a more personal, indie, vintage-inspired vibe. They have the whole house covered here, from the magnets on your fridge to the plants in your garden. You can probably find whatever it is you're looking for your house here (and then other things that you didn't know you needed but need to buy because it's so darn cute).
The store itself is quite spacious and is laid out well. There are tons to look at, you can spend quite a bit of time browsing around. I also like how they have an online store so I can check to see if they have an item before visiting. But I'm sure I'll find myself visiting often anyway in the future to check out their new stock. read more
