This store is on the main street, Amagertorv. I went inside just to see what it offered, and from…read morea tourist experience, it was fantastic. There are two floors of hand painted porcelain. These are some of the finest pieces of porcelain in the world. I looked at it as if it were a museum of exquisite plates, cups, glasses, platters, service ware, and bowls. There are walls of examples, as well as explanations of how its made.
I'm sure I spent between 30 to 60 minutes in this store. Is everything the very best quality? Yes. Are they beautiful? Yes. Is this worth seeing? Yes, especially if you happen to pass it. Did I intend to buy anything? Absolutely not. None of these items are in my price range. If you added up all of my serving ware, plates, cups, etc. I'm sure the total value of my entire kitchen is less than the cost of a plate here. But that doesn't mean it's not fun to look. Don't worry, no one is going to make you feel uncomfortable because you are clearly a gawker, not a buyer. Surprisingly, there ARE many actual buyers in the store.
