My daughter sent me to pick up an order at IKEA. My brain is always on information overload when I walk through IKEA. The cafeteria is a good place to decompress and enjoy the Scandinavian themed menu. As fellow Yelper Sigrid says, "it's a cafeteria." Lunch isn't served until 12:00. Fishball with mashed potatoes and mushrooms mixed beans were a special of the day. The little haddock balls were lightly battered. I opted for the lemon/dill sauce which was excellent atop the fish balls. Unfortunately, mashed potatoes and bean were cold. I'm not a fan of cold food. I think Sigrid complained of lukewarm food as well. Apparently nothing has improved. Anyway, I did like the fish and the meal is a bargain at under $9. The checkout clerk was super friendly and reminded me of my free coffee with my IKEA membership. The cafeteria is comfortable and clean. I'll return. I particularly like the meatballs. Express parking is available just outside the cafeteria. But I prefer to walk through the store so I can dream about furnishing my New York apartment someday. read more

More like a school cafeteria, with some items you can take and put on your tray and others dished out by staff. I am a sucker for the meatballs, mashed potatoes with gravy, lingonberry sauce and peas. Yep, that's my plate every time. Unfoirtunately once or twice it has been only lukewarm to cold (hence only 4 stars) Of course I add my free coffee as a member of the Ikea Family. Occasionally I may add a dessert, depending on how hungry I am. I was so hype to try out their new vegetarian options, but unfortunately their main restaurant was closed (6/24), and the only food stand open was the open near the front of the store. Luckily, they had a veggie hot dog option for only 90 cents! They had a decent amount of toppings on them and I love the pickled red onion(?) + the fried onion topping. I would love to try out their other vegetarian options in the future when the restaurant re-opens. read more

came in exhausted and hungry from shopping. the seating areas were open but could have been cleaner. the vibe very much felt like a school cafeteria in a good way. however one server left a terrible impression. basically my sister got 8 meatballs for her meal, but right after the server handed her the cup with meatballs, i noticed and asked her to get the 12 meatball option instead because i also wanted to try some. there was no line behind us or anything but the server gave us so much attitude for asking for more meatballs. it's not like we're not gonna pay for them... anyway the meatballs were delicious read more

I probably had an extra odd experience at this IKEA because it still puzzles me even now what happened. First of all, we did go around 4:30 which is only 30 minutes until closing. For that reason, it was pretty messy in the seating area, but none of us were upset about that as we did go pretty close to closing time. I had never been here before, so I was excited to try it. They're obviously most famous for their meatballs so that's what I wanted to go for without committing to too many. My fiance and I decided to split the meatball meal which came with 8 meatballs, mashed potatoes with gravy, peas, and the lingonberry sauce. We also split chicken tenders and french fries. This is where it gets weird....when we got to the check out we got a cup to fill up. The employee asked us "Do you want that cup for water or soda?". And we said that we wanted soda. We went with my fiance's family, and they all said the same thing. There were other customers right before us who got soda too. When we got to the soda machines, they did not work. There are two sets of machines and the first one had a sign saying it was closed for cleaning. The other one didn't have that sign but still wasn't working. One of the women from the group right before us went back to the lady and reported that the machines weren't working. She said "Yeah they haven't been working since 3 pm" and then just walked away. It was bizarre because it was the same woman who had just sold us all fountain drinks, and we had already paid for them. The woman from the other group looked around for another employee but was saying "Everyone is just ignoring the large group of people who want the drinks we paid for". I agreed that we either needed a refund or some other type of accommodation. 30 seconds later, someone comes back and says we can get a bottled drink instead. I'm glad they settled it, but I didn't think the situation was good at all. Probably shouldn't sell something to someone knowing that the machine is broken. The food itself was really good! Since it was so close to closing the sauce dispensers were practically empty and I knew it wasn't worth asking them to fill with only 30 minutes left in their shift. The meatballs with the fruity sauce are amazing. I truly loved those mixed with the mashed potatoes and gravy. I think my rating would've been higher if the atmosphere had been cleaner and that bizarre situation didn't happen. read more

Food is not ok. Had meat ball tray and Salad. Salad was poorly assembled and due to soggy croutons, tasted stale . My stomach was upset and ached after the food. The ambiance is bland and kitchen looked abandoned and not cheerful. Overall I will not recommend. But your cheap stuff and get the hell out of there. read more

Being the closest IKEA to my family, we have tried to come here to eat dinner and shop here. We have come maybe six times since the opening of this store we have only been able to eat here once. The dining area has been closed completely or they close it down an hour or more before it is posted to actually close (the store is open longer). Noticed is another review (10 months ago) talking about the soda machines not working and today I saw the sign that the soda machines are still down. read more

We visited the IKEA restaurant and cafe today we always enjoy their meatballs, jam and mash patsies and other side and love how we can get a complimentary coffee with our family friends card and July and august members get 15% off their bill . I was high unimpressed by them giving out little mouth wash cups when asking for a cup of water and extremely unimpressed by them not giving up more than a spoon to share ice cream or put a cup for my child's ice cream . The food costs are lower comparable to other places and kept reasonable but I saw the price changes and service match cutting corners and poor customer service read more
