IJO Bakery, well known in Lipa for its croissants and pastries, is now in Alabang, so of course we had to stop by.
The Alabang branch is bright and simple, and you immediately see trays and trays of freshly baked pastries when you walk in. There was a steady crowd when we visited, but the selection was still pretty good. Ambience simple and service is fast food like
What I like is the variety. Aside from the usual plain, chocolate and almond croissants, they have more interesting choices like Dulce Banana, Nutella Escargot, Flan Brûlée, Pistachio Twice Bake, Roasted Garlic Danish and savory options like Ham & Cheese and Tuna Melt. Prices are also quite reasonable, mostly around ₱115 to ₱205.
The croissants look beautiful, with those crisp, flaky layers you want to see in a good croissant. I also like that they have coffee, so you can grab a pastry and coffee without making another stop.
Nice to finally have IJO closer to home. No need to drive all the way to Lipa when the croissant craving hits. read more
