They gave us a very fair price for a new 50 gallon gas water heater. After looking them up and reading others reviews, we decided to use them. Easy choice actually. Nate was the plumber that showed up to do the install. He was here when they said he would be. He started around 10:00 and finished in less than an hour. He cleaned up after and we couldn't tell anyone was here with the exception of the new water heater. I would HIGHLY recommend Lawrence Plumbing

We would rather not have had to replace the unit, but Brian was honest and went through all our options. Their pricing was reasonable and the job was done timely. I called several plumbers, and Advantage was the only business that provided us with an estimate of the work's cost. The others all wanted to come see the job, provide a quote, and then we could decide to accept their proposal or send them walking. I wasn't looking for a firm quote; I just wanted an idea. Hugh from Advantage was polite, neat, and very efficient. The total cost was reasonable and lower than we had experienced with other plumbers for comparable work.

(The toilet has been having intermittent issues and needs replacement.) They immediately connected with me and offered to come out the same day (but I still had not gotten the new toilet.) We scheduled for the day after, and they were here by the promised time. The team quickly removed their shoes at the front door without being asked (not my general experience with many repair teams) and started working. They finished almost precisely at 90 minutes despite a minor complication. (The basement/toilet drain was not draining well which they augered out.) It was explained to me that it was likely a combination of time and a 20-year-old toilet (which did not generate enough force). Other than minimal dust and grime, they did not leave any bigger messes for me to clean up. They were professional, and their price was well aligned with other companies. They did not sell me on any additional service plans but did guarantee their service for a year. (There is a 4% for credit card transactions.)

I requested the service in the late evening through Yelp and got a response in 17 minutes to schedule it. They had an opening the following morning, starting at 8, which we took. Three minutes later, multiple confirmations via text and email were sent to verify that the address and time selected were correct. The plumber arrived about 45 minutes after the time window opened. We asked for shoe covers, which he put on. (That has not been our experience, even when we insist.) He confirmed our suspicion that the tank needed to be replaced. After a brief outing, he came back with parts. Our original estimate was $379, but there needed to be a support bracket, which he strongly recommended that he add. (Our old one was hanging unassisted parallel to the ground.) The final total was under $500, including tax. Other than some crumbs of pipe dope, there was no mess. So far, everything is working well. After four days, there have been no leaks and no other effects on our household that we can tell.

I called after the second instance, and they were able to get a plumber here to snake it right away the next morning. After an hour or so, I was informed the snake was getting stuck, and he had to call a camera guy in. Camera guy informs me that tree roots have damaged my line and a 30' section needs to be replaced to the tune of over 9k. I called a small local company for a second opinion. It wasn't tree roots - the line itself was broken and everything was draining into the dirt, hence the backflow when there was more water than could be quickly absorbed. They recommended the same amount of line be replaced, but for half the price.

Their techs have always been friendly and polite to deal with. Our most recent experience with them, though- wow. I will never ever use them again. I called and set up an appointment for a bid on a new AC. The guy showed up 3 hours late. By then, I figured he wasn't showing up and had gone on about my day. He told me that that's just how it goes and it wasn't really his problem because the customer service people are supposed to schedule them to show up at any point in a 6-hour window. He went right into telling us that we had to buy a whole new heating and air system that cost $22,000.00 without ever actually looking at our system. I told him we only needed a new air conditioner, not the entire HVAC system. But he also never even went and looked at the air conditioner that needed replacing. He argued with me when I told him our budget was $5000 for a new air conditioner, so obviously affording $22,000 was completely out of the question. He wouldn't hear it. I was gobsmacked by how extremely pushy, argumentative, and rude he was. We had to tell him "No, we are not signing up for anything on the spot; we just want a bid" probably 10 times before he finally left. I've never had any of their people act like that. When I told him we were getting at least two more bids before making a decision, his exact words were "Why do you need to get other bids? That's just stupid." Yikes!
