I have a friend in Muskogee who whenever I visit she always wants to go to IHOP. I got the Fisherman's Platter. To be honest I wasn't expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised. The Shrimp was crispy just the way I like them. The fish was crispy on the outside but tender and flaky inside. The only reason I gave four stars instead of five that there were several tables with loud screeching kids and the parents did nothing to quiet them so it definitely ruined the atmosphere but the food was great. P/S I went back and changed the stars from 4 to 5 because I really can't blame the restaurant for people's bratty children. read more

Just had an early dinner at this place, worst service ever! Waitress brought my drink before dinner , by the time my dinner arrived I had drank it, not one time did she ever ask me if I'd like a refill. I ate my entire dinner with no drink. She walked past me at least 3 times and never asked, I will never stop at an ihop again. Especially this one! The manager even saw my glass empty and never said a damn word! Today, I am trying IHop through the DoorDash app. Since the current app has a bug in it and is not cooperating on my phone( I had to uninstall and reinstall it, and restart my phone, it still went goofy), I saw that our location has joined up with DoorDash, and I thought if their app was not gonna cooperate, I would do plan b. My order was to go, but when I arrived to pick it up there wasn't anyone at the desk and I had to wait a few minutes before someone came. My food was good, but not hot and I didn't have all the condiments that I needed for the food I ordered. To be fair, I should have ordered pancakes, but in my defense if that is the only thing they do well, that's all they should offer. I went this morning to end our girls weekend. I ordered the avocado toast with scrambled eggs. The menu described it as "multi-grain toast with cherry tomatoes, avocado, and optional eggs and bacon." A few minutes after ordering the avocado toast with eggs (sans bacon, add fruit) , someone (not our waiter) came by and asked "did someone order avocado toast? If so, we're out of multi grain bread - we'll give you sourdough toast." I can't eat sourdough (taste), so I asked for any other bread. I was told I'd have white toast, "but toasted hard." OK. Meal came, the bread was not toasted at all. The avocado wasn't ripe (I couldn't even cut into it with a fork), and the egg was rubbery. The fruit side was three small squares of pineapple and two small squares of honeydew. The egg was rubbery. The cherry tomatoes were excellent. Our waiter came with checks, and took the cards/cash that were ready. I pulled out my card, but he was on to another table, and the same woman who offered me white toast said she would take my card and check. I handed it to her. And waited. And waited. And waited. I told my girlfriends to go wait in the car, and maybe someone would notice me sitting there alone. And I waited. And I overheard other tables wondering if "that woman took our cards and left." My waiter also shook his head and said "she should have just let me take care of this." Eventually, she came back with my card and slip. Long story short - I paid $14.99 for a cup of coffee, 1/4 cup of fruit and two cherry tomatoes. No one noticed that the rest of the meal was untouched. We were seated pretty quickly when we entered, however, the booth seat seemed to be missing some support. Waitresses appeared to be working hard and keeping good spirits. The menus were rather limited in dinner fare (no chicken fried steak or pot roast like we usually get). My wife decided on the turkey dinner with mashed potatoes and corn (instead of broccoli), and I got the sirloin tips with broccoli (instead of corn). Both the waitress and I forgot my meal had a side salad. When I inquired, the waitress was polite, however they only had ranch dressing... bit frustrating, but I'll accept it. The salad was OK, but ranch was runny, as if it had been thinned. The waitress came back shortly after delivering the salad to say that the kitchen was out of corn. We accepted a substitute of broccoli and shrugged it off. When the food arrived, my sirloin tips looked nice, as well as my sides. However, the turkey dinner looked nowhere near as good. The turkey was curled up and very dry, and the "gravy," if one could call it that, was clear-ish and tasted like something that would be used to clean surfaces. We told the waitress and she took the turkey meal off our ticket. Restaurant appearance and comfort: 2* Wait staff: 4* Food: 2* (mine was 3*, hers was zero*, round up the half point). I'm being generous with 2*, as I attribute the poor turkey/gravy to lack of competent kitchen staff, which seems to be affecting several restaurants I've been to of late. About the first thing a cook or chef learns is how to cook an egg. I'm so disappointed today to have to send my eggs back twice. The service by Unique was excellent. The coffee is good but overpriced. They have nice new menus but that doesn't make the failure of the breakfast eggs any better. As far as ambiance it's what you'd expect of a diner atmosphere. One of my favorite franchises with all the wonderful American breakfast foods I grew up with back in the days when it was still the International House of Pancakes. One of my favorites was the Pigs in a Blanket (sausage links and apple pie filling wrapped in a buckwheat pancake and topped with cinnamon honey syrup!). When I am traveling, and wanting to make good time, I look for the restaurant chains that I know, and when driving through Muskogee, Oklahoma this iHop is our stop for comforting breakfast food. And, we love breakfast at all times of the day! Their menu has evolved over the years, but the fluffy buttermilk pancakes still have that wonderful flavor and texture that sings American Breakfast! They asked us what we desired to drink & we spent about 5 minutes deciding what we wanted. The food has always been good. The service is terrific at Muskogee, OK I Hop. Servers are very attentive, friendly and move quickly as this location is nearly always very business so sometimes there may be a wait but nothing too long. We frequent this I Hop often and have our favorite servers - Maria and Diego; however, you can't go wrong with Ashley, Lisa, Mark. The newer servers are catching on quickly and doing a good job. We also go to the Tulsa locations occasionally but the Muskogee location is the best. The new manager, Lindsey, is doing a great job. The ambiance is, well, I Hop. We stopped in last evening for a quick bite. Probably won't be back for quite some time. First there was a family waiting to be seated as we came in. Of course there's a door bell to alert personnel that someone is out there waiting. We waited for quite a bit. Finally a person comes out and seats the family then us. We passed 3 tables that needed to be cleaned but only 3 other tables had people at them so it's not like they were swamped. Saw 3 waitresses but ours acted like we were putting to work against her will. We put our order in and food came fairly quickly. I got the breakfast with pancakes. I noticed that the dab of butter on them was just sitting there. I touched them and they were cold. Didn't see waitress until she came with the bill. Had to ask another waitress for a to go box.
