    A good service

Came here for the first time with my men A lil hesitant with the reviews we saw here, we came to find out ourselves. Place was clean, Food was great, nice and warm, drinks were at all time refilled, and always made sure we had everything on sight. Maribel (our server) was an amazing, sweet soul (with a beautiful smile) we enjoyed an amazing, well spent, meal together.

    French Toast .. delicious.

We were passing through Mount Pleasant and stopped for breakfast around 8:00 am. A friendly hostess welcomed us and we were seated immediately. Server took drink orders. The atmosphere was super! Drinks delivered fast -- small talk with server was light-hearted and fun. Manager checked on us a few times, as well as other customers. Food was on the table within minutes -- hot, fresh, and delicious. We left full with smiles on our faces! The town of Mount Pleasant has a jewel! It's the absolute best IHOP we have ever visited.

I will give a 5 because we are regulars here and they are always pleasantly anxious to serve us. We came at 930 on a Thursday and it is not busy which works for us. Internet here is extremely slow so great time to actually communicate with your family and friends. We normally always get the same thing. My husband gets French Toast, bacon, sunny side up eggs, and hash browns. Today I got a Waffle (something different) with 2 eggs over medium and turkey bacon. Everything was great, I just wish they offered soft butter to spread easier on your waffles. Nothing beats butter all over with syrup. Oh hey they have all you can eat pancakes. Do bring in your family and eat away!

Food was delivered faster than usual for an IHOP. Good quality and friendly service for breakfast. Eggs were good; bacon and hash browns were average. However, French Toast was great.

Jefferson is a quaint little town and oddly enough almost every restaurant is closed on Monday as they seem to cater to the late week and weekends when most tourists probably visit. But the online menu looked good and overall the restaurant had good reviews. We arrived around noon, it was pretty quiet with only one other customer sitting at the bar. I guess this is why most other places were closed! We were greeted by the fellow behind the bar who suggested we sit anywhere we liked. We found a table and had a look around. The decorations were great, lots of old photos on the walls as well as vintage signs from old stores and brands from long ago. My wife and I both needed to use the restrooms before ordering and we both agreed they were nice; they were clean but also had lots of framed vintage photos on the walls, photos of women in fashions from long ago in the women's restroom and the same of men on my side. We ordered some drinks, iced tea sounded great what with the hot weather but they do have a full bar and serve a large assortment of craft beers and nice wines as well as signature cocktails. We ordered some calamari to start with. After it arrived my wife ordered the fish and chips and I got the crab cakes that came with some fried green tomatoes and a remoulade sauce drizzled over it. The food was all very good. And our server who tended bar as well was very nice, he kept our glasses filled and delivered our meals with a smile. I only took one star off because for lunch they are a bit on the expensive side. It looks like they only have one menu, not a lunch menu or lunch specials but just what they charge for dinner. Now, that being said, the portions are large and we took enough back to our RV for dinner on another night! Since Halloween was in a few days they were decorated to the hilt with great spooky and funny holiday decorations. We would dine here again and I highly recommend it.

SEAT YOURSELF is the verdict. I ordered their 'Irish Gold' cocktail, and oh my goodness is that delicious, I don't even like whiskey but you truly can't taste it with all the other flavors in it, highly recommend trying! Then we ordered the Irish Chedder Pub Cheese (pretzels) holy crap those pretzels were PERFECTION. I will say I did not love the cheese (very stringy and not able to just dip your pretzel in it, you'll need a fork to wrap the cheese around it so that's the only part that wasn't good but I'd still order it again.. or maybe sneak my own beer cheese in ) I truly was not hungry after the pretzels but I still wanted to try more so I ordered the chicken wrap, that was just okay, nothing to write home about; I'll definitely try something else on their menu next time but they had so many delicious things on the menu that that won't be hard to find something new and better on their menu. They also serve brunch which I usually go for and might have to do next time! Can't wait to come back here though! Fantastic restaurant inside with so much to look at on their walls let alone menu !

They were busy during weekend brunch but we were seated immediately and the service was great, very attentive and my server was in training. The food is not up to par. I researched several dishes before coming here and their ordering platform has images of almost all dishes online. But these were so far from being realistic representations. Haystacks manages this content, it should be accurate or not presented at all. Quiche had a great flavor but came with a very meh spinach pile and potatoes that were in no way "haystacks piles." It was also considerably small, 4oz. Felt like I was eating airplane food. Mac and cheese bland and broken, Hannibal burger was very sweet not balanced. Biscuits were slightly under baked but the jam was delicious.

The food is what gives me some hesitation to recommend. My wife ordered a quiche since we were in during brunch. I opted for the burger that had pulled pork and onion rings. We were both disappointed by our meals. The quiche my wife saw a picture of on their website came out so tiny it reminded me of food they would serve you on an airplane. She showed me the picture and I was genuinely shocked to what they served her. She said it tasted fine, but when you order a quiche entree you expect the main focus of the plate to be what you ordered. It was mainly salad and home fry potatoes. I thought this place was known for the haystack potatoes considering the name, these were not that. My burger did come out as advertised. Towering over the plate with all the toppings. I tried the onion rings first. They were okay I guess, but covered all over with this sauce that was way too sweet. The other layers consisted of roasted pulled pork(under seasoned), provolone cheese, sausage(tasted like a hot dog), and the burger itself(dry and under seasoned). It was a chore to eat. I had a side of macaroni that was overcooked and mushy. The whole thing just left a bad taste in my mouth. We may have ordered the wrong items so I gave the biscuit basket to go for one last ditch effort to find something redeemable. I heated them in the air fryer to get them nice and crisp to serve with the gravy and jam. The gravy was too thin and the biscuits were mushy and turned into a paste once bitten. The jam was really good though. We threw the last biscuit away since it wasn't with the calories. I don't think we'll be back. I say you should go if you live in the area. Find out for yourself. You may have a lovely time and we were just unlucky on this visit.
