I like the fact that ads are minimal and you can expect good songs any time of the day.. I like to do late night drives and this station makes for great company when I'm driving alone. Its not the kind of music everyone's probably going to like, I am pretty sure I'll grow out of it someday too just because of how repetitive some of the songs are.. The location: It can be a bit difficult to find. Your GPS will take you to a shopping center with many strip malls, and this place is on the back. They don't have a sign on the billboard, but you can see CB Furniture fairly easily. It is right next door. Once inside: when you first walk in it is dark, ans looks kind of like you walked into a living room. It looks small. There is an old creeky door, and you can hear radio shows going on. You get impression that you are going to walk in a session if you open that door. You won't! Just push on in. There is a long hallway with many different room, all with doors. I would suggest that if you are going on a show, get the hosts phone number so that they can come and get you up front if you have never been. All of the staff I encountered (including the owner) were very kind. It was a great experience, and I would absolutely return, and will listen along.

Still, I occasionally tuned in - at that time Kellie Rasberry was out on extended maternity leave. Her daughter is now 7 & the great Dave Cradick aka Kidd Kraddick has sadly died. The last few years I've listened 5 days a week to the current lineup of Kellie, J-Si (Jose Chavez), Jenna Owens, the inimitable Big Al Mack & world's best board op Shanon Murphy. They have carried on since Kidd's been gone. AND they continue to do an entertaining show. Content is built around show biz news & family friendly phoners w/major stars. Lots of games for fans too. Their charity work with Kidd's Kids is exemplary. I am a former radio professional & entertainer. My radio listening started in the world's largest market, NYC. I know good radio. But why did we have to trade in so much truly classic rock from the 60s and 70s for songs that don't even fit the category of "classic rock". Come on, "Take Me Home Tonight" and "Love Is A Battlefield"? "That's All" by Genesis every day?? Genesis, Eddie Money and Pat Benatar have tons of classic rock songs I would love to hear on the radio but the ones I just mentioned are the ones you constantly play and they're not even classic rock. They have a whole local program that cranks out the jams. There's no real commercials on this station, just public service announcements, and underwriting announcements. The DJs are fun, and not some corporate dudes in a booth, or some AI generated voice that pipes in endless chatter. Instead, you can get a finger on the pulse of the live music scene around, and they focus on bands who are coming through and playing at venues you can visit around town. The music is much more than just some top 40 hits station, or some corporate run Belo or Clear Channel Communications stationit has the local heart and soul of the city of Dallas. If you don't like the music, give it an hour or two, and they'll have something else on later.
