We came up just to experience great view at magnificent Alpes , Matterhorn. And it was spectacular!!! The view is breathtaking. There are lounge chairs available to sit and enjoy the view , take some sunbathing and also a bar right there. We got Hot wine- it was super . Went into Igloo to see and it looks nice, but I wouldn't sleep there, it's super cold inside despite all the clothes you wear. Yes, they have sleeping sacks to keep you warm, but still. I know it's an expensive, but not for everyone))) Yes , it's also quite expensive to get to this top, for foreigners it's 75 franks.

Not only was he…read moreknowledgeable about the region but he had such a great understanding of the everyday rhythms of the area. He seamlessly sweeps you right in to the culture and the wine. From the wineries you visit to the vistas you encounter, everything is phenomenal. The only thing that makes it even better is to enjoy an outing on the lake looking back at the shore in his Riva. Add this to your wine tour and you will have an experience that will rival any other.

Our guide was friendly, funny and incredibly knowledgeable about the area and the wine. We did the Chablais tour in a private luxury van. It was too fantastic. We had to do another so we took the Lavaux tour too. We were immediately impressed by the views of the properties. We were able to see a lot more of the vineyards this way and it was nice to have someone who knew the good restaurants to enjoy the famous filet de perche. The wines were delightful. The Chablais was shockingly fresh. Some had bright, luscious melon and papaya aromas. This wine is all about the texture. They had a great finish that lingers for a bit with good acidic structure. The Lavaux wines were lush with tastes of dried cinnamon, spices, cherries and just a slight herbaceous note. They had nice acidity and were really mouthwatering. All were wonderful on the palette, stretching out across your whole tongue and leaving you wanting more. I wish we could find more Swiss wines in California. I guess we'll just have to come back. Thanks Nic and Swiss Riviera Wine Tours for an unforgettable experience. We cannot wait to see you again.

For this trip, we decided to go canyon swinging in the Glacier Canyon with Outdoor Interlaken. Must be purchased ahead of time! Cancellation policy is pretty flexible with a full refund if cancelled 48 hours before your start time. It's kind of pricey but how often will you get an opportunity to jump and swing through a canyon? There's also an add-on for the GoPro footages but you can decide after swinging through the canyon, which is what we did. You can choose to be picked up in Interlaken or meet at least 5-10 minutes before your start time at Glacier Canyon. For safety reasons, you aren't allowed to bring anything with you unless you're able to zip it up in your pants. If you have prescription glasses, you can bring them and they provide a little baggy to put it in while you swing. Everything is stored in plastic bins which you can pick up outside of the canyon when you're done. The experience starts with a short van ride up to the top of the canyon. Our guide was really friendly and knew what he was doing in terms of safety so it made us feel safer and calmer. The swing itself was like nothing I've done before! It's very nerve wracking when you're at the top and I think the anticipation just makes it a lot worse. The drop itself is only a couple of seconds but feels so much longer. Some of my friends think they blacked out for a second because they don't even remember looking at the canyon while swinging! I would allocate about 2 hours for the experience, especially if you're doing this with a large group. You don't need to wait for the strangers in your group to finish swinging. And afterwards, the canyon is free for you to enjoy! We were able to run out to grab our stuff, grab the complementary drink that was part of the swinging ticket, and go back into the canyon.

I never imagined I'd ever jump into a canyon, but when my friend sent us a link to the Glacier…read moreCanyon Swing with Outdoor Interlaken, it seemed like a one time opportunity so I thought why not? Immediate regret after agreeing to this because I was nervous from the moment it was booked, all the way up until the experience was actually over. On the day of our reservation, we were unfortunately a few minutes late due to issues with delayed/cancelled buses, but luckily they waited up for us. The whole process was smooth with getting us checked in and up to the jump point. When you watch the video or look at other people jump from down below, the free fall distance looks so short. But it feels SO long when you're the one jumping! I've gone skydiving multiple times before but never found that scary. This, on the other hand, was so nerve wracking, and I'm not even scared of heights at all. I think the free fall was so scary for me that I squeezed my eyes shut, since I don't remember seeing anything during the free fall. I'd imagine seeing the floor get closer and closer to me would be terrifying. Once the free fall portion is over, you then do a few wide swings back and forth across the canyon before they throw a rope out to you to pull yourself in. This part wasn't scary at all for me and was pretty relaxing as I got to take in the view. Once you're all done, you're free to go see the rest of the canyon area. Once we exited, we were given the option to purchase a video of our experience which got emailed to us a few days later. We also received a complimentary drink ticket that we were able to use next door. Overall, super scary but definitely a fun experience that I'd recommend for any thrill seekers. Outdoor Interlaken also offers a variety of other activities, so check them out for all your outdoorsy needs!

After I found them (go to the top floor of the Les Cygnes mall and follow the path), Reto was there and said he didn't have availability that morning, but told me to come back at 5 and he'd take me out on a tour. I returned at 5 and discovered he was going to take me out alone at no extra charge--great personalized customer service! And because there was a music festival occurring that made travel through Old Town difficult due to crowds, he fashioned his own tour of the lake and gardens. He was a fountain of knowledge about Geneva's history, politics, geography--anything I could throw at him he could answer. He also took a ton of candid photographs during the tour and emailed them to me promptly after the tour. If you've never ridden a Segway (I had), you ride sometimes on the streets, so it was a little scary at first, but Reto led with confidence, so it was fun. I highly recommend a tour with CityWheels and Reto!

We found her online (here) and are so glad we did. Her English is top notch and communications with her by email for booking was very easy. She offers a number of tour options from full or half-day trips, with or without private boat transfers. We ended up booking the full day excursion with private boat transfers and were SO glad. With the private boat-there was absolutely no waiting to go from island to island as our captain Allesandro was always ready to go when we arrived (having been alerted by Michaela at just the right moment to come by for us). By the way, the typical boat seats 30 and is covered but was dedicated just for the two of us. This is an option- you can hire her without private boat but then you rely on the ferries and have to deal with the crowds. Even though the temperature was soaring into the 90s we had a wonderful day. It started with her meeting us in the lobby of our hotel that fronted the lake and we simply crossed the street to the lake where the boat was waiting and we headed out to our first island -Isola Bella. Machaela is versed in history, art and botany (some) and we spent 2 hours touring the palace and gardens-so much better than a canned audio tour. She gave us the full history of the Borromeo family, important historical events, discussed the art and identified all the interesting plants and trees throughout the day. Next we headed over to Isola Pescatori (fisherman island) for a stroll through town then a couple hours free time for lunch. She guided us past some of the more tourist spots and recommended several of the better places. We had a great lunch at Ristorante Belvedere. After lunch it was on to the third island, Isola Madre and a tour through the botanical gardens, renaissance villa and some time visiting the colorful peacocks and pheasants. We headed back to the hotel around 3:30, were dropped off in the same spot just across the street, made payment to Michaels (cash only, at the trips end) and headed in to jump in the pool. A perfect day.

Yelp Review 2026 #123:…read more Jungfraujoch is a must-visit if you're in Interlaken...or Zurich even! My first trip to Zurich was in February several years ago, I took a bus to Interlaken and 2 trains (Grindelwald, and Jungfraujoch) - it's not complicated. It's an easy day trip from Zurich, and a half a day trip if you're already in Interlaken. From Interlaken Ost, it's a train ride to Grindelwald, a gondola ride to Eigergletscher via Eiger Express then a train ride to Jungfraujoch. Traveling in the spring can be unpredictable. Sometimes it's raining all day, it could snow, it could be extremely foggy. Your hotel in Interlaken has a channel where you can watch the live cam of Jungfraujoch so you can see if it's worth going or not. It's almost always foggy early in the morning during spring but it clears out by around 10am...sometimes, it doesn't. Once you get off the Jungfraujoch station, you can read information about the place. How the place keeps getting warmer due to climate change. The Research Station Jungfraujoch is the highest in Europe and in the world. Elevation is over 11,000 feet above sea level. There are movies/ shows that were filmed here. So, it gets pretty crowded. You have to go to the Sphinx Observatory where you can see the Alps and Aletsch Glacier from outside. On a clear day, you can see Germany and France. You can walk in the snow. There's a cafe, a Lindt store and a gift shop. You'll see some cute ice sculptures.

We got lucky we booked it on a day that it was not foggy/cloudy. Bucket list, checked! What a memorable experience. Amazing views on our way to Jungfraujoch. Tour is little pricey and crowded BUT totally worth it! Enjoyed every moment touring inside Ice Palace while collecting amazing memories at Spinx Observation Tower and Plateau. Just to be aware of the altitude sickness Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS). Drink plenty of water.
