AVOID iFixScreens if you have a Macbook! My Macbook Pro 2020 M1's screen was broken because I dropped my airpods case on it. I brought it to iFixScreens, and they informed me that they will special order the screen to fix it. They quoted me $400. Apple quoted me $600 so to save money, I opted for iFixScreens. This was the biggest mistake I have ever made, and had cost me $1000 in loss to repair. Not only did the repair take over a month (because they had ordered the wrong part), after fixing the screen I noticed the following problems: (1) my camera no longer worked; (2) the hinge of my Macbook was loose so when I use it, any movement of the screen will cause it to fall and snap down; (3) there are light LED streaks on the bottom of the screen. (1) The first problem was the webcam camera no longer connecting. I went back the next day, and the guy said that it was not his fault that the webcam does not work. Meanwhile the webcam used to work prior to the repair. I asked if he could fix it, and he said no, it would require me to spend more money to order the part so they could repair it. I spoke to an Apple Genius employee and he told me that the webcam and the screen are two different components, and that the reason it does not connect is because the iFixScreens repairmen did not adequately and carefully install the screen, which led to the broken camera. iFixScreens told me to buy an external webcam to fix my problem. I am a college student, and having an webcam is important, and carrying a bulky external webcam is out of the question. iFixScreens ruined my webcam and wanted to charge me more to fix it. (2) The hinge is extremely loose and it falls when I use it or move it around. I went back to iFixScreens and they said that is how MacBooks are, and they blamed my Macbook cover for adding weight which closes the screen. iFixScreens does not blame themselves for their problems, they blame you. Obviously my Macbook hinge was sturdy when I purchased it, and I even used it with a cover and had no problem prior to the "iFixScreens repair." (3) A few months later I went to them because I saw light LED screaks coming from my screen. Again, the representative did not take blame for their faulty repair. I told them I was covered under their warranty of 180 days. They told me because the MacBook screen is a "special order," it does not have 180 day warranty. It only has a 30 day warranty. This was NOT explained to me when I first came to them. The representative misrepresented the store's warranty policy by explaining to me that we have 180 days, even with knowledge that the order is a special order, he continued to say we have 180 days of warranty. Long story short, I had to go to Apple and drop $650 to fix the screen and the camera. Going forward I will go to Apple for any Macbook related problems, and avoid this place. In fact, I was so traumatized by this unprofessional and fraudulent place that I will avoid all 3rd party repair shops. I genuinely believe the screen they installed was not genuine because the hinge was loose and the LED lights were streaking. The repairmen are unskilled since they broke my webcam while fixing the screen. If I could give a 0/10 I would. If you come here to repair your MacBook Screen PLEASE AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!! UPDATE: Went to the Apple store and the genius bar tech checked out the laptop. He ran a full analysis and found that the screen that iFixScreens installed was NOT COMPATIBLE to my macbook. That is why after installation, the camera stopped working. iFixScreens guarenteed that it was a genuine product but that was another lie. Go somewhere else! It took four days in a row of multiple visits per a day just to get the back of my phone fix--damage was all superficial. I had to leave my phone more than once for a 4+ hour stretch. The store is disorganized and repairs are not finished when they're supposed to be. While the back of my phone is fixed, I now have two new scratches on the front of my phone that were not there before. I didn't notice until the day after, but now I understand why they were offering a screen protector as compensation for the inconvenience. Complete waste of time and money. read more

Horrible service, I have waited nearly 4 months to get my laptop repaired and they damaged my laptop even more and they also couldn't fix the issue. They charged me in advance in order to find the issue, they said it was the operational system when it wasn't. They gave me back the laptop saying it was ready and the computer was having the same issues I was having when I first went there. It took them over a week just for the phone to still be damaged and other issues. I like the place, they were very helpful. They Fixed the connector pins to my iPod so I could use a 3rd attachment that plugs into the charging port, so I can use Bluetooth... Worked for the most part but a few months ago started acting up again and now for the last two weeks, it doesn't work .I came there to get it fixed for good and not for 13 months only. I'm very disappointed. It happened first back in August last year, just wouldn't sync. After a few days miraculously worked. Back in Feb.of this year a cacophony of static would happen but if I nudged the Bluetooth accessory would clear the static, few months later stop working again for a week, somehow after a week, it worked and now nothing. You expect something to be fixed for good, not to have to call again and pay again because of shoddy job work, which will most likely happen when I do call soon. I dropped my Apple Watch off here with a cracked screen. I understood the price to fix it ($200) vs just buying a new watch that I had ($250) was maybe not worth it but I figured I might as well save the $50, because why not? I was ensured that it would be fixed and it's worth it. I dropped my watch off and picked it up later the same day. Once I put the watch on I noticed that none of the buttons worked so I was advised to drop it back off to be fixed since the screen that was delivered was defective. Fine. I'm easy and I give the benefit of the doubt. They had my watch for about two weeks which was very annoying but again, I'm easy and understand that things happen etc. When calling for a simple status update we were always brushed aside and sometimes even hung up on as if we were inconveniencing the business. When I did end up picking the watch up the next time it did work and has worked since. Tonight the screen just fell off when I was opening the refrigerator. I'll just be buying a new watch tomorrow, as I probably should have done in the first place. If you need minor work done, Maybe this is a great place. LOL I've been back once because of the weird things my phone has been doing. At first, the screen would activate all the apps and I couldn't use the touch screen method on my iPhone. I went back and the employee replaced my screen again for free. This was very kind, BUT my phone still is acting up. When I make a phone call the screen doesn't go black (something with the sensor) and I've had trouble with hitting the "mute, add call, etc." buttons. I dropped my surface off 10/02/21, took me weeks to receive it back, Every time I called it was always it's not ready yet. Fast forward to end of December 20201, tech said everything is good with my surface. Took it home, recharged cycle a few times and still will not turn back on. Dropped off back the surface 2 weeks later and til today's date (03/23/2022) I have yet to receive a call/update about my surface. I have been calling since last week almost every day and is unable to reached the proper person in charged. I called last Friday 03/18 and I was told call back tomorrow because they are doing renovations. I called back 03/18 and was told call back tomorrow, person in charge is not there. Where to begin. I called them to get a quote for how much it would charge to fix my phone. On coming into the Store I was giving a much higher price than what I was quoted. I was told they would honor their warranty on their work for a 4 to six month period if I kept the receipt. When the same problem occurred with my phone and I went back I was told they couldn't honor the warranty and had to pay a "discounted price" aka the original quote they gave me over the phone and not the inflated price I was told when I showed up in the store. If I could give negative stars, I would. For your own sanity, stay far away from this store! I have never had such an unprofessional and unpleasant experience. I brought my son's broken DOE Chromebook to this location to be repaired, and was told to return in five days to pick it up, along with a laptop charger I had ordered. When I returned to the store a week later after work, I was greeted rudely by Jhann, who acted as if I were bothering him for coming to retrieve my laptop and charger. He informed me that both would be ready the following week. When they weren't, I filed a claim with my bank. A day later, I received a text message and a call from the manager. He told me they had ordered the wrong part and offered a new Chromebook as a replacement. He explained that he sometimes got promotional deals from companies. Though it seemed strange, I agreed to the offer, but when I went to the store to pick up my goods, I was told they could give me nothing because of the claim I had filed. They could give me the new Chromebook and charger only if I paid again or called the bank and asked that the claim be reversed (in retrospect, that was not necessary; they could easily have reversed the claim on their end). I was about to swipe my card again, but decided it would be more prudent not to do business with this company. Too many red flags. I would take the laptop to a store that ordered the right part, didn't give me the runaround for weeks, treated their customers courteously, and requested a deposit, not full payment, in advance of labor. About a month later, my bank wound up reversing the claim, no doubt because they pretended they had repaired my laptop, using the contract I signed as leverage, and they now refuse to refund the $187 they had charged my card, even though NO services or products were rendered in December. I left the store with my son's Chromebook in the same condition as when I had dropped it off, and without the charger (who knows if they even ordered it). I am now taking action to recover my funds. Beware: They will not honor their warranty. I had my phone screen replaced in November of 2017 after getting it run over by a dump truck. (I'm a civil engineer at LGA, these things happen). IFixScreens offers a warranty for their work for 6 months assuming there is no physical damage. This past Sunday, I woke up and my phone screen is completely black but the light is flashing and it is still buzzing with notifications so I know its working. I take my phone in to have the screen fixed but the employee says that he cannot honor the warranty because there is a crack in the LCD despite there being no damage to the glass on the outside. This is unacceptable because I didn't drop it or crack the outside of the phone; the damage is all internal. When the screen was installed, it must have been done in such a way that there were stresses on the screen that eventually caused the crack inside the phone. He offers to speak to the manager and get back to me the next day. Two days later I still have not hear from them, but the crack has continued to spread across the screen. This lends support to my position that there is a stress inside the phone causing the crack and not some external force because a single impact wouldn't cause the crack to spread over the next few days. I go to the shop where the same employee says he has been meaning to call me but has been busy. Maybe he was, but Parks and Rec was on the TV in the store so I have my doubts. He says unfortunately they will still not honor the warranty and that I would have to pay full price for the repair. It is unacceptable not to honor a warranty for your workmanship based on physical damage when there is no way to get to the part of the phone that was physically damaged. I completely understand not fixing phones with cracked screens but when the underlying LCD is damaged and there is no other external damage, it is a failure of workmanship. I also do not like that they wouldn't even offer a discount considering I have spent over $500 dollars at this location over the years and this is a disputed issue. I think some pretty standard customer service would offer something. I don't know what the warranty could possibly cover if it does not cover when things break inside the phone but I will never use this store again and would advise others not to. read more

Wow!! Review is for work done on my MacBook Pro. Basically my comp was running super slow so I took it into Ifixscreens and they were very pleasant and upfront with the pricing. Basically they'd check for water damage then move on to check malware and operating system. If it was a basic diagnostic it was going to be $50. $20 more if the motherboard was replaced. Not bad at all. When I came to get my computer they said what they thought was wrong and what the next steps would be. Bc I still had warranty coverage from Apple I decided to take it into them instead of paying. When I got to Apple Store they told me the Ifixscreens technician did everything exactly right. This is the kicker: they totally could've charged me for the diagnostics but they told me that because they weren't able to determine the exact issue without taking further action (replacing parts to see if that was the solution), that they were NOT going to charge me. It was an amazing feeling to know that I wasn't being taken advantage of (most of you can relate who know nothing about electronics). Props to Kelvin and Matthew for clear communication and downright honesty. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone for phone or computer work. If I could give this place no stars I would. This place has the worst customer service I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing. My partner was quoted a price and offered a 10% discount- went in to fix a cracked screen, was only given $10 dollars off instead of what should have been $30+ and was told it was because the guy behind the counter had a "slip of the tongue" when offering a discount. While in the store He asked how much tempered glass would be and was told $15 dollars. I call the day his phone is ready to see if He could pick it up and ask if they can put tempered glass and ask how much and he told me "$35" and I say "He was quoted $15 last time" and he responds "yah, sure. Whatever $15." ????!!!! When We get to the store and I ask if the tempered glass is on the phone and he says NO DID YOU WANT THAT?! the same guy I was talking to earlier about the glass completely forgot our conversation. Turns out they don't even have tempered glass to fit the phone anyway. Take the phone home- the home button is broken, we take it in to be fixed. He does pretty much nothing to fix it besides use more glue and scratches the phone in the process. I took my iPad in to have the charge port repaired. They quoted me a price of $90. The next day they called and told me that the repair could not be done in the store and they would need to send it out. It would take 4-5 days and the price was still $90. It was ready for pickup 5 days later. But when I went it to pick it up they told me there had been complications and the cost was $150. They really should've called me before proceeding. Also, if they made a mistake that caused the repair to cost more they should've absorbed the cost. When I went to pick it up I noticed a tip jar on the counter. There was a note on the jar that said something like " I know you don't know me but I just fixed your phone so you might want to give me a tip." It came off as passive-aggressive and entitled - if I had seen it when I dropped my device off I would've walked right back out. But the repair worked, so I gave them an extra star. On a mission to fix my cracked screen. I yelped this place and it had great reviews. I'm sure they are a great establishment. However not so great with my experience. I called to see if they had my screen in stock (iPhone 6s black). I was informed it was in stock. I asked for the price and they seemed fair. So I started my mission. I noticed someone left thier gloves on one of the waiting chairs so I picked it up and handed it to the receptionist. Great service. I had a refurbished phone from Groupon that continued to scramble the screen. I came in and dropped my phone off and within a week it was brand new. The cost for the equipment is the same price online and they then charged​ for the service. Really happy with the service. The guy made sure everything was working before I left. I had a cracked screen and went to get it fixed at this place. It was fixed quickly. After few days screen popped up on one corner and lights from inside could be seen. I took it back as it was under a warranty but he seemed annoyed that I came back. He told me that it is broken but he was the one that fixed it. When I reminded him switched it and said the case was a problem. It didn't make any sense to me but I took his word for it. He fixed it quickly again. I took off the case and by morning screen popped up again. I would not recommend this place. Waste of time and money. I even gave him a good tip when he fixed it. On top of it lying did not sit well with me. It took me like half an hour to type this because touch screen only works when I turn the phone and off which happens frequently. My macbook screen cracked while I was at Starbucks and really needed to have my screen fixed. Luckily I saw there was an ifixscreens store right across the street. Went over there and this cool dude Kelvin helped me out and told me they could fix my macbook. Somehow they had the screen in stock but they said it would take sometime . I was being very persistent on wanting to have it fixed and kept bothering Kelvin and he actually dealt with me and had it fixed right away. Very good customer service very satisfied with the repair. I called ahead of time, as did my S/O, every price given was different than the 285 I was given in store (pretax). I was lied to about the cost of the screen from the supplier and the time they take to repair is whatever suits them. When the phone was returned I noticed my main home button was broken. I took it in for repairs again only to have it returned with the same home button in mediocre shape and scratches along the bottom of the phone. I was then told that using the button could ruin its integrity, that being the point of the button, (to be used). I was also informed after the procedure that my phone is no longer water proof and was offered no compensation for the 700 dollar product that they ruined. I was referred repeatedly to the plaque at their front desk that says "no refunds". They are specifically unhelpful, resistant to give any information, will break your product and offer no type of leniency or understanding. The worst business I have encountered. read more
