Nurses and CNAs we're kind and concerned. Activity ladies were always helpful. Rooms are cleaned daily. The only real negative is the food. Consistently did not get what I ordered. Even interviewed the chef. Aides spent lots of time going to kitchen, showing them my order and trying to fill it. In the month I was here only got it right a handful of times-no exaggeration. No one reading the meal orders cared, and believe me I tried to work with them. Food often is not visually appealing. Overall I have been pleased, but if they are raising the rates soon, food issues should be addressed and fixed.

I never thought that I would be writing a review on Canyon Lakes Rehab Center, but here I am. My…read moregrandfather is now 88 and has spend about 2 years here. Had knee surgery, and some other health issues that has kept him from walking, and living on his own. The care that he receives has been outstanding! I wish I could name everyone that works there, because they truly love and care deeply for all of their patients, especially my granddad! From the nurses, to the physical therapist, and the management staff, my granddad has received great care. If you have a loved one that needs special care, this place can and will do a great job. One thing to remember, always visit. Even though they have great care, it will still bring tears of joy to your loved one every time you stop in. Even for a quick 15 minutes.

The owners care about their staff and that care is evidenced by the care the staff give to the residents. This among many other things. I would not suggest working here. I was warned by multiple sources to not, but I needed a job and I didn't listen, but I should have. I quit this place with no back up in 3 days of working there it was so horrible. Don't ever have an off day at work here and ask for help your 1st day working by yourself because they'll either try to fire you or have you come in in a snowstorm to train you again but without pay. Don't work here. Ever. Big mistake.

The several times I have visited with my friend to visit her mom the faculty stinks so bad, im…read moreaware some odor to be normal but I have visited many nursing facilities and non of them have smelt this bad. They are at least an hour or more getting her pain medicine when she ask which is unbelievable that they would leave someone in pain after a major surgery for so long. The staff that came in to help her with ambulation was not prepared with the appropriate equipemnt I.E. gatebelt. There are other things but for her privacy I wont post that here.

Sent to a "skilled nursing facility" from hospital for congestive heart failure, they're to restrict water intake to 1500 ml's/day. Found out they never charted fluids to keep at or under that amount. Room was absolutely filthy (there are even ants on the sticky floor).
