I don't recommend this service anymore. I've been ordering for years when it was Krave Kitchen and…read morethe value has gone downhill. The portions are small for the price, and they keep changing policies in their favor. The meals arrive with trapped condensation in the packaging, leaving the containers damp and the food a little mushy. I often must drain water out of the container before reheating and then the taste isn't as good. I used to order 6 meals and pay for shipping without any issues. Now they require a minimum of 8 meals claiming it is necessary for shipping and quality--which doesn't make sense. If anything, shipping fewer meals should make handling and packaging easier, not harder - making this change feel like a profit-driven decision rather than a quality one. Furthermore, I was able to order 6 meals the fiirst week the website changed but when I sent an email to find out why it no longer allowed this, the explanation was that it was a "system issue with the website". I work in IT and this field would need to be manually changed, the explanation feels like a corporate spin. Since they merged with Elite Nutrition, the focus feels more on profit than customer experience. The food still has a good flavor for vegan meals, but that alone no longer justifies the price or the frustration.

OK so I am going on week 3 of "On the Hunt Food" (OTHF). I have used several food delivery…read morecompanies in the past and there is a huge difference between OTHF and all the rest. With the other food companies your food arrives pre cooked, pre seasoned and ready to eat. With OTHF your vegetables comes raw and peeled, sliced, diced, and pre portioned. The spices and oil are pre measured and in separate containers and labeled. The meat comes pre cut and ready too cook. With each meal is a detailed instruction page along with cooking times and marinating times typed in red on the top of the instructions. The big difference between OTHF and all the other food delivery companies, is with OTHF: YOU cook the food. I LOVE this.... With the precooked companies you put your container in the microwave and wallah your food is ready. BUT if the carrots or potatoes, or plantains or anything are undercooked to your liking - then you have to separate your food, and recook the items you prefer more done. Sometimes you might like an item like squash more crispy but if it comes cooked already so you can not uncook it. With OTHF you cook your veggies to your level of desired tenderness. You have your spice packets on the side, so if you want to add it all you can, otherwise you can only add half or even add some of your own. I do not mind the actual putting it on the stove cooking it. I hate the pre planning, dicing, chopping and thinking about my meals. OTHF makes life easy and fresh AND healthy. They have organic or non-organic meals and a strict paleo and a more lenient paleo (which allows cheese) I always say yes to cheese lol. The portion sizes are HUGE. When I make dinner, there is usually enough for us to have lunch the next day. They are super easy with delivery times and even days and any items you do not like. There has not yet been a repeat of a meal. Oh and there are no delivery fees!!!

I generally try to eat healthy, but could never find the time with my busy schedule to actually research paleo recipes and prepare my meals everyday. Being a single young professional, It just always seemed like too much work. I decided to give "on the hunt" a try - not knowing much about the concept, or what to expect. When I received the delivery, my 3 day meal plan was portioned out with recipes for lunch and dinner. Not being a very good cook I was weary about how the meals would turn out. Since this is a food delivery service, the ingredients are distributed, labeled, and portioned out by recipe, and then you are to follow the step-by-step directions to prepare your meal. I courageously gave this a try with my first meal for the following day, breakfast. Like I said, I am no chef, but my goat cheese mushroom omelet turned out shockingly amazing! I couldn't believe it was me who prepared this meal. Since the ingredients are portioned for you, and directions are step by step, it was quick and easy to make, not to mention extremely healthy! On the Hunt's meal plans come with enough ingredients to feed at least two people for each meal. Since I live alone, I decided to invite a friend over for dinner to indulge in the healthy goodness. I prepared the Asian chicken stir fry served over a bed of cauliflower rice. This is where I was really impressed- in no other circumstance would I ever consume cauliflower rice, I definitely have no time to prepare that! Rice came pre-made, all I had to do was again, follow my recipe for the Asian stir fry. AMAZING! My friend and I both enjoyed our meals, clearing our plates but feeling completely guiltless about it. Since it is paleo inspired it contains no fat or bad carbohydrates. I was also excited because I even had left overs for the next day! Needless to say - I fell in love with On the Hunt Food. I am now a regular customer. I would recommend this service to anyone who wants a quick healthy but tasty meal made right in the comfort of your kitchen!

We also just tried the brisket and too smoky for my personal taste. Meat had a fat cap along top and would likely do best simmered in a BBQ sauce for awhile. (Yes I like wet foods) We decided several "meal prep" items were best as we wanted proteins more than sides and sweets. (There cookies do look good however). To date we have tried two meal preps and they are good. The Turkey Teriyaki Meatballs were very dense and a little dry. I would order next time as something where meatballs soak up sauce like Marinara. Tonight we had the shredded pork which was nice and the included sauce had some nice heat. It catches you afterwards. Fair amount for price paid. It isn't cheap but fair in value when you consider a restaurant entree prices . The meal prep sizes are ok for family of four, with no leftovers. We still make sides and veggies separately from home. We did have a Client Service issue on first order. They fairly brought a resolution and was not their mistake, our friend provided wrong referral code. We did have a special request that they could not assist with as missed cutoff. Still felt a little less than stellar for first relationship order, but overall they have been responsive and helpful. We have several more meals to try. Provided all is good we may order again shortly. Order by Wednesday night to get Sunday delivery and also note delivery charges are fair and appear to not be waived at any price point. Kudos for being able to leave tip in advance. Driver was nice, on time, and very cordial. The only suggestion would be to offer directions to warm food in addition to just microwave directions. We prefer traditional stove cooking for warm up and might not be doing the best for their creations.

With a new baby, we find ourselves spending a small fortune on delivery and getting delivered mediocre overpriced meal after mediocre overpriced meal. I discovered Chef B through a facebook ad and decided to take a look at his website. I hate cooking and we end up with a ton of waste which I hate. Enter ChefB: I ordered a bunch of his Keto dishes and was truly impressed at both the quality, taste and portions delivered for the money. I also am a fan of BBQ and Chef's was very good. My wife and I are able to spend more time with one another and the baby after work thanks to this meal delivery service. We are grateful to have this wonderful option and look forward to ordering more delicious food in the future. Best of the best; keep up the great work, chef! I hope to see some grass fed meat options and more organic produce in the future. Followup: March 22, 2020 We continue to use and are happy with the quality put out by Meals by Chef B. This is an upstanding company that tries its best to please. For example, my order from yesterday was missing 2 of my soups. I texted the number who responded quickly apologizing for the missing soups. Given we are in the midst of a pandemic, I didn't expect much. Within an hour I had a redelivery of 4 more soups (I only was missing 2) and complimentary cookies and fruit. This company gets it, valuing customer service and knows the importance of keeping their regulars happy. My wife, the baby and I all eat this food and enjoy it. We are currently not leaving the house so having this type of high quality meal delivery is priceless. Continue the great work Chef B. I will continue to refer and use your services.

The pumpernickel is my favorite, but the flagels are also excellent. On this visit, I picked up some bagels and veggie cream cheese, which was delicious. My only criticism is the way the cream cheese and salads are portioned during busy times, like on weekends. They're pre-scooped out rather than weighed out when you order. I've always felt that they sometimes pack a little more and then take some out before storing them in the deli case. If you look at my photo, and even my photos from previous visits, you will see what I mean, and since these items are sold by weight, I'd prefer to see them measured fairly. I've actually been going more often to their newer Military Trail store in Boca, which seems to be better run in several ways. I still occasionally come to this location because I enjoy the food, the crew is great, and this location is convenient for me. It's even in the same plaza as Dunkin', so I can grab a good decaf iced coffee while I'm there. Even with my one small complaint, the bottom line is that I like the food and will continue coming back.
