I started my laser hair removal at Ideal Image and was mid‑treatment when MD Aesthetics took over. I was told they 'bought' Ideal Image, NOT that my contract could just be thrown out. Instead of honoring my original package and finishing my sessions, they refunded me about $1,900 and discharged me as a patient, leaving me with incomplete laser and my hair growing back. Today I spoke calmly with the manager, Sydney, to ask why I was refunded in the middle of treatment and to explain that I'm unhappy with the results. Instead of trying to help, she was immediately defensive and blamed me, saying I had been 'rude before' so they decided to refund me. This is how they handle a customer who paid thousands of dollars and is left with unfinished results. If a business can sell/buy contracts, partially refund you, and then kick you out because you're upset about it, that's a huge red flag. Be very careful before starting expensive treatments here. I saw Jillian for my Botox appointment. She is so kind and easy to talk with, very professional. I was so happy with the results that I went back a second time for the same procedure! I'm so grateful I found ideal image and Jillian as the experience has been great both times. I waited to write the review because I like to give Botox two weeks to settle in and see the results and I give it a 10/10 very happy with it! Although North Andover is convenient, I will no longer be a customer. It's not the people there, they are very nice. It's corporate ! On two separate occasions they have tried to " pull a fast one". One time a contract was signed for services, however, before any services were even preformed I was being charged through the finance company. Secondly, received a service but was also signed up for a one year membership not authorized by me. I was told someone from management would contact. Of course they didn't. THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE DISABLED Their sales pitch and sneaky practices took advantage of my disability. I did tell them I was disabled and I guess they felt game on. I was unaware (happened recently) that I need my power of attorney (actual lawyer) to approve any contracts or the opening of any accounts and of course he did not approve (did not sign anything) He explained to me that any contract or account has to be signed by him so if there is one that exists or an account that exists without his signature are not valid. He tried to access these said account/contract and there was no account to access yet they keep saying (even to him) that they exist and They'll have managers call in 3 to 5 days. I am so grateful that my lawyer said I don't even have to cancel the supposed contract or account that they say exists as any Signature other than his is Not valid. This is because they have cancelled on me several times, and then the next available is always months out. Yeah. So I pay monthly for a service I've had one of over a year. I had a poor customer experience today with running late for my 12 noon appointment. There was lack of communication and a lack of understanding of the 15-minute grace period between the front desk receptionist and the answering service. I arrived precisely at 12:15pm and was told that I would have to reschedule my appointment even though I arrived within the 15-minute window. During my commute from Derry, NH to the North Andover, MA office, I called to notify them of my late arrival and was told I had a 15-minute grace period before it would have to be cancelled and rescheduled. I arrived at 12:15pm and there were no other customers in the reception area. My laser hair removal appointment on my arm pits takes about 5 minutes, but the receptionist would not allow me to keep my appointment. Inflexible, not compassionate, understanding or caring of my customer experience. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Mind you, there have been times that I arrived on time for my previous appointments and had to wait 10 - 15 minutes before being serviced at the front desk because there was a customer ahead of me or the receptionist was on the phone and I was patient and understanding. Worst choice I ever made! This company is a franchise with Corporate offices out of Florida. Since they are a franchise, I'm guessing , there's some differences depending on what location you go to. However, based on my experience, I don't know how they can still be in business! After almost one year ago - after being misled into prepaying for a procedure (Ultherapy) I thought I would be scheduled for the next day or shortly after, I found out that their offices in Massachusetts were not even open. When I was (finally) able to get through to someone, again, they would NOT refund me any of my money, told me they had no idea when they might reopen...! I was shocked that a company in such a competitive industry and an industry that is ALL about the customer, this company, truly believed they had a right to just hold on to my payment until/if they ever reopened! (I hope they're adding interest to it.) I, even, attempted to "work" with them to avoid having to take other routes to get my money back and allowed them to use some of my money for Botox. (I only had Botox once before, but the woman did an excellent job and I knew exactly how many units she had used and the cost per unit). I was shocked to hear how many units the aesthetician at Ideal Image was planning on using (more than double the amount I had received six months ago!). Not only was I shocked with the amount, I couldn't believe the price per unit! (I had done a lot of research before getting the Botox and am aware of what most places charge, including doctors.) It's no surprise to me that I'm completely disappointed and don't see any difference since my appointment. My only "concern" was my "11's". When I had Botox at the other spa over the summer, I was thrilled and saw them vanish almost immediately. I'm appalled that a business in this industry with so much competition and clients "trusting" them with their faces, skin, etc. operates this way. I've had my last call to their "corporate" office with no satisfaction and their continued attempt at just keeping my hard-earned money! I'm disgusted that as women, they don't seem to have the least bit of professionalism or commitment to ensure their clients are satisfied. I don't have a problem taking the route I'm left with to get what Is owed to me. It infuriates me, however, that I've been forced to put more of my (valuable and limited) time into this. HUGE scam. Went for Botox and juvaderm for my face. Was made to pay up front. Got there and was told I wasn't eligible because my history of anaphylaxis. Was supposed to get a refund which I only got a few hundred dollars back when I called about it was told I couldn't get a refund because my contract stated I could use it for something else. Not wanting to just eat the money I signed up for cool sculpting which was more money which they again required up front. Went to my appointment only to be told again I wasn't eligible but I would get a refund. I called to find out when I would get it and was told I couldn't get a refund because I could get it on other parts of my body than the one I went in for. So I was basically told I could spend on treatments I don't want but I could not get it back after being told I would. Do Not Waste Money on CoolSculpting. It doesn't work. Even though I'm "small" and I'm "a great candidate." The before and after advertisement is false. But they said oh it's because she had multiple treatment and after six months. They had flyer that had pictures and under that said six weeks after one treatment. I even pointed out to the nurse. My nurse was nice though. I had to follow up with twice. First time no result. Second time, even with dieting an exercise, slight reduction visible from side only but nothing like the before and after. After that she said she thought was fine as I am but it's just I paid thousand to get rid of it. It's not about how you feel about it. It's about how much money I wasted for nothing. Well, I had to take a break because I had to be on pills that make your skin sensitive to light, now they won't schedule anymore of my 3 left treatments until I speak to a manager. Mind you I did call when I started my meds and I was told that my account will be on hold until I am done with them. I've been reading the comments below and I agree . They get you for your money . When I first started with them they told me that I can do up to 9 sessions . After covid hit everything changed , I was then told I can only get sessions in until my contract is done . I couldn't get any sessions in due to covid and them being under staffed . The nurses have been nothing but friendly and nice, and are the only reason I go back but the front desk is EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude. I was a few minutes late to an appointment and I could hear the receptionist complaining loudly about me... and have had them schedule my appointments on days that I told them I cannot make it to and tried to charge me the $50 cancelation fee even though a note in the system stated I told them I couldn't do that day and they still tried scheduling it. I don't even know where to start for this company. I wish I read the reviews way earlier. I did my consultation in March and the lady was really nice. I got my loan approved the same day. Didn't get the appointment till July 3 saying they are too busy. I thought maybe it just the one time thing. Finally the day arrived, I went for my appointment the lady only did half of the area I suppose to get laser on. I thought maybe that's the first appointment kind of thing and maybe they will give me the second appointment soon, so I thought that's okay. Nurse told me I'll see you in 4-6 weeks. I went to the reception and told her I need to make an appointment for about 4-6 weeks. She said there's no availability for 3 months. I've never been disappointed that in my life with any other company. I paid so much money for keep waiting on appointments? How does the treatment even going to work if they don't treat the area on time. I mean how does this company still running. All this company gives is just aggravation to It's customers. They have blu know how to sell their product but don't know how to keep a customer happy. I would never recommend anyone this company. I just need my money back. This is one of the worst decision I took in my life thinking this company actually care for its customers. Why do customers have to suffer because of company's irresponsibility. This company never waits 3 months when they have to charge you the payment or if they have to schedule you for consultation. How come consultation done the same day? Ok so we're two years now since I originally signed up for Ideal Image. Here's a breakdown for you. It cost me $3,398 total for about a 30% permanent reduction in my facial hair. They will try to tell you "hormones" etc...but I had all the testing done & was found to not have a hormone problem. My package that cost $3,398 was what they consider to be four areas. My jaw line, my upper lip, chin & upper neck. Your big "lifetime warranty" costs about $50/$75 "co pay" PER AREA...so if you have to go back, expect to pay that. My first review was forced upon me by one of the workers who said she'd only give me a full size product if I reviewed them at five stars. Even then, I gave four. The nurses that work in Andover are nice enough but I never felt they truly understood what it was like to be a woman with facial hair. Except one but she left :( The front desk girls were super sweet. Would I go back? Highly doubtful. I still have hair that I have to shave daily. However, I used to get a five o'clock stubble & I don't get any of that now, so was it worth the money? You can decide but I personally would almost pay any amount to get rid of it & I feel they played on that during my first consultation. If you do go through with it, I strongly advise to take notes about everything & have the nurse sign off on it. They didn't always do the proper areas, yet on paper, claimed they did. Not a bad place overall but definitely pricy and definitely in my opinion, play on your emotional self to get you in the door. Thus, the one star. I had been debating about the cool sculpting for a long time and finally decided to go ahead and have it done. I have to admit, that now I too feel it is a total SCAM. I explained my situation (have not had time to go to the gym for a while). I work 10 hour days and it takes me 1 1/2 hours each way so by the time I get home I am tired out. During my initial meeting, I discussed the areas I was concerned about (inner/outer thigh and stomach). The nurse tried to tell me if I signed up on the same day, I would get 15% discount. Needless to say they advertise the 15% discount ALL the time. I explained over and over again that I was not active and was told I did not need to be. The reduction would be 25% in 3 months time. I got suckered in and scheduled the treatment. Day of the treatment, the computer was not operating properly and I was not able to schedule the 3 month check in. They were going to call me and never did. I had to call at the end of the 3 months to schedule the follow up otherwise they would NOT have. At this appointment, I explained to the nurse I was not happy. There were no changes. My thighs were exactly the same. NO REDUCTION !!! She tried to tell me sometimes it takes 4 months. We looked at the before and after photos. NOTHING had changed. She tried to say she could see a reduction. I was wearing different style panties therefore the indentation was different-that was all. The nurse actually asked if I wanted a second treatment on each of the areas - which I would have to pay for - talk about a scam. Then she asked if I wanted to schedule another check up in one month to see if any changes. I said all I wanted was for the manager to call me as I deserved a refund. She said she would take care of having the manager call. Well its been 4 weeks and no one has called. They like to advertise on Kiss 108. Almost all my hair on my stomach is gone, my chin still has a bit but they will tell you up front that this is a difficult area to fully treat because of hormones. The North Andover location is wonderful, everyone is super nice and helpful. I have another location closer to me by about 30 minutes but I go to this one because I like the staff. I am returning customer and called for appointment at North Andover location on November 27. I was repeatedly put on hold by several receptionists. First each asked my name and what I service I would like then would put me on hold and after 10 minutes of hold another receptionist would ask me the same questions and put me on hold again. After the third round and 30 minutes of wasted time, I asked not to put me on hold anymore. At that point the person who I was asking declared that she is overwhelmed by customer calls and just hung-up on me. They never had a good customer service, as I recall, but that was outrageous. The place was clean, people were friendly, and the nurse was nice. I got juvederm last year done. The initial experience was ok but there was swelling on the left side of my lip instantly. I went back I believe a week later for the follow up appointment and they were still big, achy and the left side was still raised- she said they needed more time to go down and to call if I had any questions; also she mentioned "next time we will add more to the bottom" when I mentioned my top lip looking too big. Well a year has passed and they dont look so good, honestly I dont think they ever did. My top was always bigger, and on the left side I have a really big crease - it is noticable in pictures so I havent really taken any good pictures in awhile. If I try to make a "kiss" face you can see the injection sites in some areas (more the puncture on the left side). My bottom lip healed well and looks great its just my top lip I can still see all the injection sites.- along with a few bumps where the juverderm seems to be unevenly sitting. I had an online virtual consultation as this was all they offered. This was concerning as I could not imagine how they could accurately advise me but I agreed to do it. I was very clear to the SALES consultant that I wanted to possibly do Ultherapy for a very specific area around my mouth but I also wasn't really sure if that was the best treatment for what I was trying to accomplish (hence the consultation). She gave a VERY big sales pitch on how wonderful Ultherapy was (her Mom had it done) and went on to convince me to do my jawline as well. She showed me pictures of jawline procedures but could not produce one photo of the area I was looking to treat - but she convinced me it would work for that. Then she "sold" me on the financing at zero percent. DO KNOW that financing is not a credit card where they bill it once services are rendered; once approved - during the consultation - they send the funds directly to ideal image so the procedure is PREPAID. I went to my appointment and the nurse - who was very nice and professional - reviewed what I wanted to improve and was HONEST that Ultherpay was not a viable treatment for this specific area. She stated she would submit to her manager for a refund and that the manager would call me later that day. I never heard a word from this manager. I have sent multiple emails and NO ONE has responded. They have a high-pressure sales tactic, precharge you to lock you in, and will not refund. I wish I had read more of the reviews before calling this business. I have NEVER, ever, prepaid for services not rendered and now I have to fight for a refund for services not rendered. Don't pay them in advance! I visited them to inquire about ultherapy. I spoke to Amanda, and she provided me with a lot of information. I told her I wanted to think about it, and she stated I had 3 days to cancel if I changed my mind. I signed the paperwork, scheduled an appointment, and gave them my credit card. After returning home and doing some research, I decided ultherapy was really not for me. I called the next morning to cancel, and was told that they would have to get approval from "Corporate Headquarters" to return my money, I would have to go sign papers, it would take about 45 days. I checked my card, it hadn't even posted yet. 45 days to get a refund after telling me I could cancel within 3 days? I would not recommend them to anyone. If she had told me it would take 45 days to get my money back, I would have NEVER agreed. This all occurred yesterday - lets see how long it takes. read more
