Their sales approach significantly minimizes the difficulty endured post-procedure. For the most part, the procedure itself was tolerable as promised. BUT afterward, what they said would be "uncomfortable" was painful and unpleasant, and it took a very long time to recover, so much so that I absolutely hate the thought of putting myself through it again for the rest of my scheduled sessions. However, they tell me they cannot cancel, which conveniently was not mentioned upfront. In fact the associate I spoke to about cancellation was rather cold about it. I'm sure they're covered legally with that info having been buried in the contract language, but this is a terrible disservice. I only gave one star because I had to give at least one. Do NOT fall for the tricks of this business! You cannot get an appointment for one, the procedures don't work for 2 and they refuse to refund for unused treatments which you HAVE TO pay for in advance. If you have a concern , Headquarters will say its the local businesses problem but when you contact the local Ideal Image here in Durham they never do anything about it. The last event happened when we had an appointment on Saturday drove 45 minutes to the location in Durham and they had decided to close. My previous years of experience with Ideal image in Durham and Raleigh were not very good. I have spent a lot of money with Ideal image on packages and packages - also convinced to buy the membership. However, after almost 2 years of lack of availability and missing monies, i was done. After making another attempt to locate where my money was, I got the NEW manager Nicole Dempsey on the phone. she listened and explained things to me and asked to call me back in a few days, she did and she also found my money. Because it had been so long, they weren't able to refund me. Now here i am having to go back for some treatment to get my monies worth. Well after my first visit, I have met a few other team members Portia Henderson and Kerissa Lane.... and we all have a great time when i come into the office. my questions are answered and my time is once again valued. I completed my contract with Ideal Image for laser hair removal and the hair grew back. According to the contract, they will offer you the same treatment at a discounted rate which I don't mind paying for. Well I tried to schedule an appointment several times, an appointment couldn't be scheduled. Kept sending me a link to read over their guidelines and would not schedule until I completed this along with Credit Card information. The link didn't work for me at first, I also downloaded the app and couldn't schedule through the app and even after I completed the information through the link along with my credit card information I still couldn't schedule. Also if you're a returning client, it's ridiculous how difficult it is to schedule an appointment. They only allow 7 days at a time for returning clients and once those time slots are filled they forget about you, you don't have an option of getting on a waitlist. I won't try again.. it's taking too much of my time. The staff is nice on the phone but that's as far as it goes. They are not helpful at all. Too much of my time has been wasted. I also paid for Ultherapy treatment. I had No results. It's all expensive, Ultherapy is very painful, lots of money wasted on both laser and Ultherapy. read more

I went in May of this year I bought 30 units of Botox at regular price I went to my first appointment and the esthetician told me that she did not used all the units and I had 13 units left of 30 and that I had a whole year from May 2023 till May 2024 to use the remaining 13 units, when I called today to schedule my follow up, they have told me that it has been expired when NO ONE told me, starting from the person that did the consultation or the nurse or the esthetician, not even in the front desk!!! The first session went fine( no results after 3 months). However, it was near impossible to schedule the second. I would schedule, they would cancel the appointment, they would cancel. I usually go to Raleigh, but after a random scheduling, I had to drive to this location for my underarms and Brazilian areas (laser hair removal). I'm glad it happened. I absolutely LOVED my experience in Durham! The staff was kind, helped me with any questions I had, and I was seen very quickly. The nurse who I was with made me feel comfortable and distracted with conversation. She also had a considerate technique so the least amount of pain was felt. I'm definitely going to be changing to this location as I'm much happier to drive the extra time, if I means I get to have the same kind of experience. read more

Diluted Botox Beware- do not go here for Botox. I have been getting Botox for 8 years. I know how many units and get it done every 5 months. I have been so happy. I moved to Durham 18 months ago, and wanted a local Botox provider instead of traveling back to Florida multiple times a year to have my wrinkles re-smoothed. $10 a unit sounded like a good deal. But they insisted I needed 12 more units than I am used to, so it actually wasn't money saving. But that was ok- it's about good results, not getting the best price. Well, even with an appointment, it took 4.5 hours to get me in and out. I waited 90 minutes to meet with the sales person, who was very pleasant. Then had to wait couple more hours for the nurse to become available. The staff was apologetic about the wait. And I didn't even mind, as I was so excited to get my wrinkles fixed locally. Injections went fine, and three weeks later, ALL of the wrinkles on my forehead were back. 100%! My crows feet are still in good shape. The glabella botox is about half worn off. But frontalis looks like I had NOTHING done to it. I called to discuss my options. I was told, I'd have to pay for more Botox to fix it. But my problem is that it wore off in 3 weeks. And I know how the product works, and have never had a problem with Botox wearing off instantly in two dozen times. What is interesting is at two weeks, the frontalis looked about 60% treated, and then instead of improving, the results completely went away. I can't in good consciousness, return and give more money- and end up with substandard results. They do not stand behind their services. And said I signed a consent saying I understood it may not work. There is a very small population in which Botox does not work, which is why the consent says that. But as someone very familiar with the product and realistic expectations, I know the product works for me. My biggest problem was being given faulty product. But it doesn't help that they never credited my Brilliant Distinctions and took over 4 hours. Overall, a bad experience and the company has no desire to fix the situation, so I cannot recommend anyone go their for any service. read more

I signed a contract in January and have only been able to get in two treatments due to them being overbooked or not having staff. Having paid in full for all treatments this is very discouraging. Milan laser in Raleigh has much better reviews and is where I will be going from here on out. I was really enjoying getting laser hair removal here, but now all of a sudden they only have one (1) singular nurse on staff and my appointment got cancelled THE DAY OF, because the nurse couldn't be there to do my procedure. Now I have to wait TWO additional months for my next treatment, because they have zero availability at any of the two locations I have nearby (Raleigh and Durham), until then, which will put me at double the recommended time between treatments. I understand things happen, but I was told there's a priority list and there's tons of people ahead of me despite my last appointment being cancelled by Ideal Image which I had no control over. So now my hair is growing back and I'm losing the progress I've made through 7 painful laser treatments and which I paid a lot of money for a lifetime membership for. To me that's unacceptable! They rescheduled for me at 07/15/22at Durham location. 07/15/22 the 3nd times of my treatment i do it with numbing cream everything went fine the nurse very nice. 09/01/22 it supposed to be 4 times but when i went there the said they can't give me the treatment because i have the numbing cream on it. I ask i have been used it for 2 treatments before but they said they have changed the policy 2 week before that I only use a numbing cream that they prescription for me. From my point why they didn't call to confirm with the client that that policy have changed before the day of my appointment because already take me almost 2 months to set an appointment between treatment and it wasted of my time to be there. They rescheduled for me on 09/06/22. 09/06/22 they call at the morning to cancel my appointment again because they nurse was sick. They rescheduled me again on 09/13/22 we will see what's going to happen this time. * on the day that I sign the contract with them I also have missed understanding with the font desk too i have been over charged from what he been told me on that day i have be mentioned that he said he will request to refund money back to me and 2 days have passed but I didn't hear any back. Several months ago I had Ultherapy Skin Tightening performed on my neck. I was told that within 3 months I would see results. At approximately the 3 month time frame I contacted the facility in Durham because I wasn't nor were others noticing any changes. The person I spoke to informed me that I needed to wait at least 6 months for results not 3. Apparently I was not given the correct information at my appointment. (IDK). I was also told that someone else would call me and discuss my dissatisfaction. To date, no call. No results. In my opinion, do not waste your money on this procedure. Ideal Image agreed to extend my contract since I could not get my treatments during COVID shutdowns, but the manager abruptly discontinued the promise they made and refused to allow me to schedule further appointments under the extension. Even beforehand, it was impossible to schedule appointments as they were always "full." I was always told I would be put on a waitlist and notified when their new schedules were released, but I never once received a call from them regarding open appointment slots. read more

Ideal image has the most friendly and accommodating staffs. They will reschedule your appointments easily based on your availability. The service is pretty good. Its a little expensive but lets face it you wouldn't want to compromise on quality when it comes to laser treatments. I was never verbally notified of my three day contract cancellation and wasn't given any contract paperwork. Now I just got a bill for nearly $1800 and I have no intention of ever using their services. I'm going to file a complaint with the state cosmetology board and consumer protection authority, because they refuse to cancel the services. I'm almost to my last treatment and they are so friendly and helpful that I will be returning for future work as well which I'm super excited for. I asked if there was any risk of skin damage before I started getting laser treatments and they said no. I received a really bad burn in my bikini area from the lasers and it healed into a scar. I asked for a refund and they said no because "the injury wasn't that bad" even though I was bleeding from the wound. read more

I have had fantastic experiences with laser hair removal at the Ideal Image locations in both Durham and Charlotte, NC. Yes, the pricing at Ideal Image may be a bit higher than some other companies, but what I care about is RESULTS--and I have been blown away by the results of my treatments. In the first area I had treated, my hair removal results have now been maintained for over three years. I have not had to go back for any touch-up treatments yet, but it is nice that Ideal Image offers a very reasonable lifetime price for any touch-ups should I decide I need them in the future. The staff at both locations has been very pleasant. The facilities are very clean and well-maintained. I will continue using this company for a variety of services and recommend them highly. read more
