Horrible people. They will lie to you until the deal is done. If you purchase a brand new home, they hire inadequate workers to assemble the 2 halves together and to do the finishing work. My brand new home ended up having 6 mobile home building code violations. Over the first 5 years in my brand new home, I had 3 floods from pipes breaking, 1 fire from faulty kitchen wiring, my front porch collapsed while trick or treaters were standing on it, and my entire heating system blew out due to a major code violation. All of these were verified code violations. Every single time that I have to get something repaired, the contractor finds a code violation. I will never buy from Ideal Homes and I would never recommend them. There is no use trying to communicate with them. Like I said, once escrow closes, you're on your own, pal. We have been in our new home for 2 months now, and we absolutely LOVE IT! The team at Ideal homes, John, Ashley, and Neil, are amazing. They helped us every step of the way. They walked us through picking out and designing our home. They truly are experts at this. We were replacing our older unit and they let us walk through some homes they were in the process of building, to give us the real feel of the floor plan and size we wanted. Once we picked everything out and got our financing in place we were ready to go. We needed to move out of our home by March 1st, 2020. Everything was moving along quite fast. They took the old place out and prepped the lot in no time. Then out of nowhere COVID 19 lockdown. The team at Ideal homes communicated with us every day or whenever they had an update for us when things would get back on track. So after a short delay, at no fault of Ideal homes, they started putting the new place in, wow what a process! Their different crews worked fast and left the job site super clean every single day. Finally, the day came for us to get the keys and move in. We were out a bit longer then we had planned for due to COVID 19. Ideal Homes was so gracious they paid for the last week of our Air BnB. Once we got all moved in, as to be expected, there were a couple of things that needed some adjusting and touch-ups and they have been right on top of it. We are so happy that we chose Ideal Homes to purchase our home through. we look at a few other places but we felt these people truly cared about us as costumers. These guys are great! I would totally refer family and friends to them with no reservations. We worked with John Barss and he was always available for questions, suggestions, and to clarify the whole process for us. He made what could have been a totally stressful process into a pleasure. John's wife Ashley, as the person who always greets you first as you come into the office, was warm and kind, a bright light in our day. We had purchased a small single wide mobile home, built in the early sixties, in a park in the Pleasure Point area, hoping to replace it with a new double wide. First I just want to say that it was a wonderful and exciting time in our life to be able to create our dream and forever home from scratch with the help of the amazing agents of Ideal Homes. John is seriously a life saver. I have been working with another dealer for over 2 years trying to get permits and we finally got to the point of being ready to order the home and I kept getting a run around from the other dealer. John was referred to me by my contractor and got the home finalized, ordered and scheduled from the factory in less then a week with some of the changes the other dealer said could not be done. I would avoid using this this company, or at a minimum, make sure you hold money back in escrow until the punch list is completed. He was very patient, and all about service until he got paid. The end product was generally well done, however, once he had his money, it was like pulling teeth to get him out to finish some poorly done work. The punch list remains uncompleted until this day. In all fairness, some of the poor workmanship was done by his subcontractors, but at the end of the day, he was the general contractor on the job and responsible for getting the job done right. read more
