I left feeling renewed and more flexiible than when I came in. The reflexology on my feet was great. I took advantage of the 60 minute combo: 40 minutes massage and 20 minutes reflexology. My only complaint was that while lying on my back during reflexology, I really could have used a pillow to prop my back up. As most know on here I have had really horrible experiences with Groupon but I have to tell you this was the best Groupon find I have ever had, it's almost enough to make me buy another Groupon. I would if it were to here. First off, Robert is such a lovely spirit. He is just super sweet and has a way about him that makes you uber comfortable despite the fact he looks like a Lions linebacker. I got there way too early and he took it in stride, giving me the necessary form and asking if I wanted to start ahead of time. Oh heck yeah. I sent my husband off with a backwards wave. Folks I'm almost hesitant to tell you about Robert in depth. I have a history of sharing on Yelp and losing quality massage therapists. I'm being realllly nice here, I will probably regret it. Robert is awesome. Amazing. I feel incredible. Never has my husband ever commented on how relaxed my muscles are after a massage. I honestly don't think anyone has ever made them this relaxed. Seriously. His massage was a total eye opener and kind of blew my mind. Robert has a real issue with knots. Apparently I'm full of them, even ones I did not know I had. The man was on a mission to eradicate them. At first I was like whoa. I wasn't sold. This was a massage like I have never had. He was thorough. He was convincing. Best part? When I started to feel the results I was one happy camper. This is no fingertip half assed *spa* massage. This was complete body therapy. My limbs were stretched and turned. My back and neck were explored and then manipulated into giving up the extreme tension they carry. I think so often in massage if you are overweight they just give up on you a bit. Robert found all the trouble spots, contorting me to make sure he got the right access to eradicate the baddies. My short, fat neck? Not an issue. I was shocked to understand what exactly can be done to that area. Small changes of position and he took care of my most problematic sufferings. Most therapists either don't know or don't care how best to get the job done apparently. I've had hot stone massage before, here you get hot stones added in as a tool to make the release easier but it is part of a more comprehensive purpose. Robert uses all the tools in his arsenal to get the job done. I love that! Yes you will be sore after the treatment, drink as much water as possible. I can be a wuss about that, I confess. Bottom line though? You will realize how much real pain you were in before the massage and how quickly it returned to you after some of your other *massages*. This is sweet pain, healing pain, necessary. Worth it. This is what it takes to have real results that last. This is what happens when someone actually tries to heal you, not throw a bandaid on your problems but who truly works to fix the real issue. After my massage I got a choice of cold or room temp water and helpful advice. Robert showed me stretches, gave me good ideas about how to prevent some of the worst knots and even gave me a chance to give feedback to him as well. So professional but really I just felt truly cared about. He really listened to my words and my body and wanted nothing more than to help me heal, not just relax or indulge but to be healthier. Not in a judgy you need to lose weight/work out/stop being a type A control freak but in a genuine hey you can help yourself out just the way you are now way. I could have hugged the man. I am broke as heck at the moment and I am still planning my next visit, it is worth the money. Really it's a great bargain when you compare. I have to go. It was sweet blessed relief born from true knowledge of human anatomy and I also got warm fuzzies from someone who made me feel so comfortable and nutured as he healed me. Not a bad deal at all.

I got an amazing foot massage in Asia years ago and always wanted to find a place in the US like that. When I checked Yelp reviews, I saw that they also offered massage. I had a tight and aching back after a few long weeks at work, and decided to check them out after nearly every other massage place I checked was booked. They accept walk-ins, which I was relieved about on that day. The massage itself used hot stones, which was relaxing and comforting. The massage technique was a little ... unpolished? Like instead of feeling that the strokes or areas worked were connected and a smooth transition, it was a little more abrupt. Never had a massage quite like this one before in that sense. At the end initially I was quoted the wrong price, before questioning it and the masseuse correcting herself. I was going to pay with a card (they charge a fee), but the lady pressured me for cash. It was a rare occasion that I had enough on me. She immediately asked me for a tip while I was standing there with my wallet open. Some of the better reviews seem to reference a different massage person, so maybe that accounts for the difference. Glad I checked it out but not sure if I'll come back.

Second worse massage experience ever... in my life…read more Where to start.. I arrived and was immediately showed to a room. No instructions no questions anything. I poked my head out to ask where the blanket was and she told me to use the towel on the bed. Towel was the size of a basic bath towel.... Not even a large beach towel. Ok I guess. Massage starts and right before she snaps my back in half I stop her to ask her what kind of massage she was giving me (I specifically asked for Swedish when making my appointment) she said it was deep tissue. I told her that was what I wanted so she changes her technique. Meanwhile my toes are frozen because.... Well.. it's winter time, I'm not on a warming bed, and I'm not under a blanket... I'm under a damn towel. The rooms are not very inviting or relaxing and they aren't real rooms so you can hear literally everything throughout their shop (walls don't go to the ceiling). The lovely spa music is interrupted pretty regularly with an obnoxious pandora commercial. Someone walks in and MY masseuse stops and steps out of my room to greet the customer and talk to them about price and availability. Effin really?! So I'm laying there with frozen toes staring at the floor like.... Should I just leave? She comes right back in and continues. A call comes in... which everyone and their mom in the building is aware of because once again, no real walls... MY masseuse answers it!! She proceeds to take this call WHILE doing my massage! When she's done filling in the next dope on availability she drops the phone down which lands between my legs! She continues the massage. Annnnd right on cue another obnoxious pandora commercial comes on. Ok I should leave! I should just stop her and leave. I don't. Why don't I? Because at this point I'm thinking well.. they're going to charge me for at least half an hour or 45 mins so... I'm counting the seconds until she says I'm done.
