Specialties

When you pull up to the building you’ll see our turrets, this place is a Castle. As you enter the castle the first thing you’ll see is the dark brooding front room of the Pirate fort, looking beyond through the archways you will see the beach area. If you take a right you’ll enter the Dive Bar classroom called the Captain’s Quarters. Beyond the classroom behind the castle is a 11 foot deep saltwater pool called the Pirates Puddle. Idaho Dive Pirates is a great place for scuba certification, purchasing and maintaining equipment as well. Our instructors can teach up to Assistant Instructor and even Extended Range. Swimming Lessons are coming soon!

History

Established in 2013.

Idaho Dive Pirates started out by buying all assets of our previous SCUBA shops in Idaho Falls, Inland Scuba Schools, Inland Scuba Inc and Inland Scuba Emporium. From those humble beginnings Idaho Dive Pirates became a small town dive shop with a massive following, double the followers of our square footage of our original location. After 6 years we had more than doubled the volume of the previous shops but never content to be second means we had to grow. Bret and Ashley brought on partners and worked for another year + to purchase a he castle an iconic Idaho Falls building formerly, Puerto Vallarta, and Reno’s Pizza located at 340 E Anderson!

Meet the Business Owner: Bret S.

Bret started diving in 2006 as a way to get strengthened from a broken ankle that occurred in his 6th year as a jail Deputy for the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office. After a couple years of diving Bret had more certifications than 90% of the dive team. Which he then joined. After several years Bret was an Assistant Instructor for the store between two different owners. When the opportunity to buy the store Bret and his wife Ashley were all in. This has been an exercise of passion ever since and Bret can’t wait to teach you and your family!
