Swimming, running around because the facility is huge, art and crafts, my child eats warm food 3 times a day and made so many new friends. Camp Stellar is "a home away from home" for your kids. The camp is designed to accommodate every kind of personality: it is a place where kids can be kids, where they can relax, unwind and recharge after a long school year. They have a variety of options how to spend their days: either to participate in organized activities, play sports, swim, read, enjoy unstructured self-guided play, or even take a nap. Our focus is on balancing physical and mental wellbeing, fostering friendships, compassion, healthy active living and acquiring valuable life skills. The camp runs 9-5 pm. We provide hot breakfast and lunch, and 2 snacks.

The clubhouse is situated at the end of Gordon street and offers a fantastic view of lake Ontario. Amenities are much like those from a well kept small resort with the convenience facilities like the showers, a staffed bar, multiple outdoor patios and communal BBQ for the members and their guests. Since we joined towards the end of this year's boating season, we did not get to experience the regatta and other fun activities like the Octoberfest planned by the club, but we're looking forward to enjoying the full experience next year.

From intro sailing for little kids (called Mosquitos) to more advanced sailing programs (White Sail) to advanced sailing techniques and racing (Broze, Silver, Gold), the WYC is a superb place for smart, active, eager kids who love the water and want to learn many life lessons and skills they will hold onto for the rest of their lives. Our favourite instructor Ian has moved on and now Emma has taken over. My son raves about Emma and the other instructors. Both on water and classroom instruction. The little kids play games too and have fun. Sunscreen required...at least SPF 45, applied at least twice a day. At the end of the year there is a banquet and the kids get their diplomas, have a meal and awards are handed out. Trust me, this is a great summer program. Space is limited.
