The studio is spacious, clean, and large enough for team building events, or kid's birthday parties. They offer various options such as ceramic painting, hand building and potter's wheel. My plus one and I choose to use our hands and make our own bowl and cup. The staff were friendly and gave us a short tutorial and provided us various tips on placement and design. Not only were they friendly, they were patient as I had to make the same cup 3 times and smooth it out. In the end we left pretty late leaving the venue. Thank you Crackpot for not kicking us out!! Some tips before going, clip your nails, especially if you plan to get down and dirty with any clay. Not feeling the clay? no worries, they have plenty of premade ceramics and paint. You don't even need to be extra creative as we watched others around us make lily pads and clay hands. Keep in mind that once you finish your creation you can't take it home, it takes a couple of weeks for them to dry and give it a glaze finish before you can pick it up. Overall this is a relaxing place with friendly staff and a fun environment to try something creative. I would highly recommend giving crackpot a try. JimStar Out!!

They made the open house very exciting! It was our favourite part! Love that parking is readily available around. Loved the many activities they had planned: colouring, face paint, sonshine and broccoli concert, popcorn, cake pop, and a play room for toddlers. We were disappointed to feel a little brushed off though - starting with the introduction into the room, we weren't given a spiel like others were. Felt great through the concert! But next we did the cake pop, and there was a line. We waited in line. The person making ours, started to roll it, but it wouldn't form together, so she left it on a plate and started making the next one, which she promised would be ours. We thought the next one will be for our kid, but she started asking the next kid what that kid would like on their cake pop. So we got skipped. I told the other employee and thankfully that one made it for us. Kid was still happy. Next we waited for face paint, with Ms Em in line. We waited a long time for a few kids in front of us to get their face painted, and when we were up next, one woman brought her maybe grandkid in and pushed her grandkid in front of us, saying they were in line but left the line to see other things (we never saw her in line the whole time we were in line). So she got her grandkid in as her English wasn't great to communicate but what disappointed us was that the employees didn't do anything about this and made us wait another 10-15 minutes for another face paint and hand paint for this kid. That really hurt that the employees would try to skip us while we waited so long for things and really ruined our morning. Because of the three disappointments, I don't recommend this art studio, I would rather recommend CCSA in leaside for the same activities but better care about to future and present clients. The lady in the drawing room was kind and there were lots of nice paintings and art work done there. Gave was enthusiastic and happy, great person there! He gave us popcorn and it was great! And of course, we loved sonshine and broccoli! We still tried to enjoy the rest of the day and relax from the stress of this.

Dogs roaming around and very disorganized service…read more I don't know why the Liberty village venue did not mention anything about studio dogs on the website. We had someone in our group that was deathly afraid of dogs and when she mentioned it to the first staffer, they responded that they were studio dogs so I guess that they were trying to imply that the dogs had a right to be there more than paying customers. This finally got sorted out after my friend almost stepped on the dog because she was so scared and was about to leave the building entirely. The entire time they just kept telling us they were studio dogs. I mean if the dogs could have been leashed the whole time I don't understand why they weren't? I actually felt like the dogs were for the staff and were just an excuse to have them at their place of work but they were kind of distracting. Second, our instructor was quite okay but they had 1 instructor for our group of 10 and another group of 5 so it was hard to get a lot of help for amateur artists. This was a very bad and lazy set up for a place that charges over $70 per person. All in all probably one of my worst experiences in Toronto and I definitely would not be coming back for my birthday as I originally intended.
