I've had this place bookmarked for a while and was really excited to use this company for my maternity photos. I would recommend waiting until they have special deals and I got mine for $69 but I've seen it for a lower if you're willing to book last minute. I shot at the vintage house because I wanted the green kitchen. I didn't realize that I also got another set to do in the house. You bring two outfits but they have a few outfits and accessories for you.The hair and make up take about an hour and a half. The shoot takes about 30 minutes and that is plenty. Both Stacy and Carol are quirky and really fun to work with. I paid the extra fee to get the photos emailed to me. I cannot wait to return! read more

Stacy and Carol are fabulous! I booked a photoshoot for myself and a friend for her bachelorette party. Neither of us had done anything like this before and we were a little nervous. The nerves instantly faded away as soon as we met Stacy and Carol. They are both friendly, welcoming, and professional. Our hair and make-up were done beautifully and the photo session was so fun! Our smiles were genuine in the photos and we truly felt gorgeous! Our photo session was in the Retro House, which offers a variety of backdrops and includes props that we could use if we wanted. Not a minute of the photo session was wasted. We were directed on how to pose and where to look, making the process simple and easy. We received all of our photos within a few days of the photo shoot and I cannot count how many times I have looked through them! My 3rd review....lol...I'm addicted! I booked a Groupon special with a gal pal and we went for a nice day of pampering together; makeup, photos and a late lunch to make a Sunday special. My gal pal was celebrating her 1st wedding anniversary and wanted photos for her hubby and I wanted something for Halloween/Christmas. We had our 2 outfits picked out and took what we needed and I threw Carol a total curve ball by taking Christmas lights to use. I wanted to recreate a photo I had seen online and Carol passed the test with flying colours even though it wasn't an easy thing to recreate without any warning. The Groupon special is a great price and of course we loved the photos so much we each bought the entire photo shoots worth. EVERY woman should do this at least once so they can enjoy the experience of being pampered with makeup and hair by Stacey, and then professionally posed and photographed by Carol. They are an amazing pair of ladies who empower you and make you feel like a Queen! Definitely do the 2 poses....one curved and back arched lying on the bed, and the one where you put your legs up against a wall while lying on the bed. They both come out looking absolutely amazing! My best friend gifted me a styling and photo shoot for my birthday in early January and the whole experience was so fun! I was also quite lucky in that the other appointments scheduled that day canceled, so I had a completely private session. Stacey did the makeup and hair and was a joy to talk to. I asked for a few specific details regarding the styling and she happily accommodated my requests. She's also a pro at applying falsies! I was definitely nervous at the beginning of my shoot, but Carol's attitude and perfect direction helped me open up and have fun with it. They have a selection of dresses, bathing suits, and corsets to try on. Items were packed tightly onto a clothing rack, so it made perusing the options difficult, but with Carol's help, we found a few choices to try on. If you're concerned about sizing or have a specific look in mind, I would highly suggest bringing your own clothes. I did get to incorporate my own piece, which made the session feel even more personal. The style is very much classic pin up, so have fun and feel flirty when you show your legs! My session included one print, but I really wish there was an option for just one additional print instead of jumping to five. I didn't realize I got to shoot in two outfits instead of just one, and it would have been great to get one picture in each outfit. $150 for five or $175 for all was simply out of my price range. My full appointment took about two and half hours, and all in all, it was so much fun and something I'd highly consider doing again. read more

I did this from a Groupon/Living Social deal. Who knew where Glassel Park was? But the windy road to the top in the secreted neighborhood might have help put my fears allay. One has to build up to doing something like this. Two besties work together. One does the make-up, and the other does the pics, in the pics-lady's home, while her husband is at work. Just thinking that he might come back home because he forgot something also put me on edge. I went in with clean face and curly hair, and came out with a pound of make-up. The make-up lady was pretty proud that she fried my hair into long locks, curled at the ends. The hairspray though...had to go home and just stand under the shower to rid myself of gunk. But the picture experience was magical. She takes you downstairs into her studio which is a boudoir set. She tells you how to pose for what is best for you. You get one costume change, and do it again. Afterwards, she quickly reviews shots with you, then burns a CD for your keeping. All-in-all, a good experience. read more

I brought a few of my own things for props which Carol was able to place perfectly with the photos! I laughed so much. It is hard to feel gorgeous when you are 36 weeks pregnant but these ladies made me feel like a million bucks! The house was beautiful with amazing view and each room was perfect! I recently booked a birthday shoot as a special gift to myself on my birthday. Stacey and Carole were FANTASTIC!!!!! Not only are they super kind and nice girls, they are professional as heck and can run a business. From the moment I contacted them, to their impeccable follow-up, to the payment and the email instructions - everything was so detailed and organized (lawyer-approved!). I showed up at the exact time allotted and Stacey immediately made me feel at ease. Her makeup tools were extremely clean and sterile (I am a stickler for hygiene). Oh she made me look and feel sooooo pretty! It is so important to have that confidence bloom once you're over your mid-30's here in LA. After the makeup, Carole took me upstairs and performed her magic. The posing is tricky, but she gave perfect instructions and I felt so comfortable being a pin-up model for the day! Thereafter, she patiently sat there while I picked some photos. The BEST part - these ladies didn't make me wait for the photos. I was emailed the entire set the same day. When I saw the $99 deal through their website, I was even more excited. Now that I have experienced the shoot and poured over my prints, I am so glad I chose Iconic. I enthusiastically recommend the experience to all women. Both Stacy and Carol are skilled professionals. I did not expect to look as beautiful as I did. It was kind of shocking to me how damn good I looked! Stacy captured a look that fit me perfectly. Really fantastic experience with these ladies, this is a MUST DO for every woman! I absolutely loved the photo session I had with Stacy and Carol. They are both extremely friendly, kind, talented, professional and soooooooooo good at what they do! These two best friends are a makeover/put you back in time dream team! A very fun and unique experience. I visited Iconic Pinups through a Groupon deal, and I feel it's a really good place to start if you are new to these types of experiences. The photos are taken are either house of Carol or Stacy, depending on what kind of sets/backdrops you prefer. They were very efficient and accommodating when scheduling my appointment and hearing about what I was looking to get out of the photos. My experience started with me feeling nervous since part of me really didn't know what to expect. That immediately melted away once I was welcomed into their home and was told where to put my things. I started talking makeup and was whisked away to start the process. Both ladies make you feel very comfortable and confident. Please, do tell them what you are after too! They are open to ideas and want to make sure YOU get what you're looking for out of the experience. I at first felt bad asking to do more of a 70s styled shoot but they welcomed the idea with open arms and genuinely seems to relish a change. Once the session was all said and done, all I can say is the proof is in the pudding because the photos were SO lovely. Everyone I show them to are super impressed. Every woman should do this! Not for your boyfriends, not for your husbands, but for yourselves. It's an incredible experience and the iconic Pinup Ladies are Pros and know what they are doing! It's a very organized shoot. And their communication with the clients is great. From the beginning of the process I received emails with pertinent information such as what to bring, and links to their Facebook page with ideas for where/what i could do for my photo shoot, and images of their different locations. I arrived and Stacy did my make up. You can chose between Vintage 40s/50s or more modern Victoria's Secret model- of course i went with Vintage! Duh! Stacy was really friendly and chatty (in the best possible way) her personality was warm and inviting and i felt really comfortable and welcome, and she was really gentle putting on my make up. In the meantime Carol was shooting with another client, as soon as my make-up was done the other client's shoot had ended. It was timed perfectly- obviously they had been doing this for a while- 5 years to be precise! I asked Stacy about how they started their business (i am always interested in these kinds of success stories) and she told me She was a make-up artist for brides and Carol was a photographer for weddings. It all started when brides would ask for sexy pinup photo shoots as wedding presents for their husbands- and then Stacy and Carol were like "why should Brides get to have all the fun?!?! Every woman should get to do something like this!!!" And so they created Iconic Pinup. If Stacy is the soft, sweet make up artist, Carol is the strong Virgo. She is not only a fantastic photographer, but she also guides you Step by step on the poses that will make even the clumsiest, and most ungraceful woman, look like a hot descendant of Betty Page. She tells you exactly how to place your arms and your toes and for every pose she is specific and patient and she snaps away and changes lights, and makes sure your spanx aren't showing, and your hair looks pretty and your flower's not falling off. Like a tornado she "Goes, Goes, Goes" around the room and a whirlwind happens around you- before you know it- it's all over and you have over 100+ frames in poses you never thought you could do! Then- immediate gratification! You browse through the pictures and pick your favorites. Figure out if you want one, or the whole disk. To purchase the disk you have to pay $149 and honestly you get what you pay for. A really wonderful 2 hour self pampering experience, and a really fun photo shoot. I brought lots of clothes and shoes and earrings but they also have a rack of vintage clothing with night gowns and corsets and accessories, props, and such. Iconic Pinups - Wish I could be part of that wooorld! - Makeup Artists Near Me - Los Angeles, California

What can I say besides: WOW. I first saw the dynamic duo that are Carol and Stacy on the KTLA morning news and was beyond transfixed! I desperately wanted to be a pinup girl! A few months later a Groupon appeared in my inbox, and I immediately purchased one for me, and one as a gift for my friend before they were all sold out. In December, I finally had the time to schedule our session! Unfortunately, it was also the day after the terrible windstorm here in LA, and the studio was without electricity :( Both Carol AND Stacy called me and apologized profusely, and promptly rescheduled for the following week. Finally, our day arrives! It turns out where we were shooting was Carol's private home ("midcentury location"), which is a fantastic location that she has decked out with multiple sets. It is ladies only, and they have a no-friends policy too (unless they are also getting photos done), which I imagine cuts down the crazy factor. Not to mention that adorable kitties that roam around the place! When I met Carol I liked her vibe instantly. She just oozes professionalism and coolness. I knew I was in good hands. My friend and I came in looking like a couple of hollywood street urchins, but Stacy totally transformed us. She is an absolute delight to work with, and listened to my request to do kind of an alterna-pinup/clockwork-orange/twiggy/60s look. We were absolutely giddy looking at our own reflections. Carol is an consummate professional and perfectionist, which is great when someone is photographing you in your undies. The Groupon allowed for 30 minutes in the "boudoir" setting, and she offered helpful (much needed!!), but firm directions the entire time. And let me tell you, 30 minutes means 30 minutes. Like Tiffany D. says, she tells you exactly where to put everything--hands, feet, necks, etc--I was even a little sore the next day from all the "posing!" No matter what your size or shape, she makes you look and feel like a real pinup girl and definitely brings out your inner vixen. The results? Well, when I handed my boyfriend the 8x10, I got the smile and nod, you know what I mean ;) Then, with a huge smile on his face, he uttered a single word: "Yup." Worth EVERY penny!! A couple of observations/tips: 1) We brought all of our own clothes, though they have a whole rack of clothes/costumes/shoes, etc. 2) Don't be afraid to speak up! I wanted a slightly different "look" from the usual, and they were happy to work with me. I am BEYOND pleased with the results. 3) If it's your first time, you will probably want to buy the CD of all the images. It is a bit pricey, but worth it given all of the time and effort they put into it. Yeah, you get one 8x10, but all the images are so good, you can't decide on just one. 4) BE ON TIME. The "Mid Century House" can be a bit tricky to find, but the view from the main room is worth it. Leave plenty of time to get there. 5) YOU ARE IN EXCELLENT HANDS. HANDS DOWN. My only regret is that the Groupon was so restrictive, only allowing for the "boudoir" setting. I would love to go back and try some of the others, and different looks/outfits too. And maybe not bringing a snack (we were there awhile!). I would LOVE to work with Carol and Stacy again, and I will be keeping them in mind for my non-pinup needs as well! read more

My roommate and I had been talking about going to get our pictures done, pinup style. Lo and behold, this Groupon appeared and BAM, magic ensued. Carol & Stacey were running behind schedule when we arrived (There were two ladies before us - one that was just starting her photo shoot and the other just starting the makeup), but that gave us some time to bond with Stacey's cat and dog, figure out what we wanted to wear, chat with Stacey, and entertain ourselves. Stacey took her time, fussed a lot, and did a fabulous job on our makeup and hair. For better or worse, you wouldn't recognize us from when we walked in the door. Carol made me feel comfortable, look great in front of the camera, and had my inner vixen roar. The Groupon included an 8x10, but we decided to also purchase the cd with all of the pictures (black & white and color). Well worth the additional money, and something I can show my grandchildren, so they know granny's boobs were further up from the ground and she was hot in her heyday. I'm going to echo most of the reviewers here and say, just DO this! Trust me! Even if I'm an unknown Yelp reviewer and my personal opinion means nothing to you, please trust me anyway. This experience was so much fun and so worth it! I bought a deal off Living Social, $99 for hair and makeup, a 30-minute photo shoot with 2 outfits, and a printed 8 x 10. I happened to mention it to a friend, and she expressed interest so I invited her too. When I called Carol, she gave us back to back appointments, and communicated well with lots of emails with tips and details. They had a special running on their website, so my friend got the same deal I did. Carol and Stacy make the most fantastic team. They are both true professionals and experts in their crafts, and really seem like they're having fun. The whole experience is made to be so comfortable and fun. They use their homes for the shoots. Men are not allowed, and they don't let early appointments in. So you can walk around the house in your negligee and feel totally comfortable, as if this were just a hangout with friends. Stacy does hair and makeup in the dining room, with the windows open and soft breezes coming in, they both help you decide what to wear, then you go upstairs to the sets with Carol. They have tons of cute clothes and vintage lingerie if you want to use theirs or combine with your own.... I brought my own because I wasn't sure if they'd have anything that looked good on me, but they had such a variety of styles and sizes of lingerie that I'm confident that anyone can find something they love. I ended up borrowing a cute corset, hair flowers, and lacy robes. Stacy had a cute, fun personality. When she was done with my retro glam makeup and hair, I couldn't recognize myself.... she had transformed me into a glamorous 1940s lady. Carol let me change as many times as I needed to and gave advice, then she shoot started when I had chosen my outfits and she snapped the first pic. Carol has such a great understanding of womanly features and how to make them look their best and most flattering.... she poses you in a way that makes it a lot of fun, and sometimes runs with her inspirations. I did the bedroom shoot, also using the vanity/curtains. Both ladies asked me a lot about myself and what I wanted, too. It couldn't have been better. I did NOT expect to love most of the photos. I don't think I photograph well and don't like most pictures of myself, but I LOVED these. There were only 2-3 that I honestly disliked. I ended up buying the disc of all of my images. Tips: - Just prepare to spend the $175 for the disc of images. Almost everyone does it; after you see your photos, you'll want most or all of them. Over 100 images. Just plan to spend it because you'll want to. - Bring your own hose/leggings, heels, underwear, and jewelry. The ladies are great with opinions if you aren't sure.... bring something if you aren't sure you'll choose it. - You could plan the event around a special occasion because you'll get glammed up.... but be aware that this is studio makeup. Awesome for photos, SO MUCH makeup close up. My lips were overdrawn and I could see the makeup when I looked in the mirror. It took washing my face 3 times to get it all off. But in the pictures, it looked amazing. This was so much fun, and my friend and I agreed that Stacy and Carol really made us look and feel so beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone! Iconic Pinups is amazing!!!! If you are thinking about buying the LIving Social deal or scheduling an appointment, you should go for it with no hesitation. I was super nervous about my appointment, but Stacy and Carol made me feel so comfortable. The entire experience lasts about 2 to 3 hours, and it is such a treat. When I arrived, Carol and Stacy oriented me with the shoot and let me look through the fabulous collection of shoes and clothing they had on hand. Since I'm not a fashionista, I wasn't super confident about choosing my own outfit. I brought a few of my own things and they helped me put it together in a great way. They make wonderful suggestions, and by the time I was dressed, I was 100% confident. They are both so wonderful and accommodating, and make you feel comfortable in their homes. While I was there, the next group of ladies arrived very very late for their appointment, , too late to fit in for a photo session on the schedule, But, Carol and Stacy were extremely generous and bent over backwards to try to make these ladies happy (This was especially nice of them nice, since these ladies purchased a photo shoot for one person, and brought three girls them without even mentioning it ahead of time) They offered to reschedule and overall showed amazing care and customer service. I was very impressed. Stacy does amazing hair and Carol shoots amazing photos. I really felt (and looked) like a pin up girl. These are both TRUE professionals with years of experience, who do this full time, when you sign up for a shoot with Iconic Pinups, you are getting amazing service and professional quality shots. Some suggestions based on my experience 1) Show up on time, so you get the most attention, remember the photo shoot is 30 minutes, but the key part is the time you spend in hair and makeup so you look the best for shots. You don't want to short yourself on time. 2) Bring a couple of your own outfits, but don't stress out too much about the details. Carol and Stacy will help you finish it off and look great for your photos. (BTW, is a great excuse to buy something new for yourself, check out modcloth or unique vintage if you need some affordable vintage options) 3) If you have multiple outfits, I'd recommend paying a little extra to get 15 minutes on one of the other sets. It's fun to have photos in multiple locations, and it gives you more options to make a calendar or another fun gift later. 4) Buy the photo CD. They take so many fabulous shots, you won't be able to pick just one. Gotta love Groupons..they were the reason I gave this business a try! so glad I did! So.... My husband has loved the pin-up look and for his birthday I decided to get pictures done. I was really nervous about it, but the minute I walked in the door....I was greeted with a big smile by a women named Carol. She was the nicest and most warm person. She had me wait in a nicely decorated room. When it was my time for makeup, I met Stacy. She did the most beautiful job on my makeup making sure to pay attention to detail. She made me feel like a movie star. It was like being transformed in to a 1940's movie starlet. I felt so comfortable and at ease during the photo shoot. Carol really takes her time and makes sure to give you direction and positive feedback. She can make even the shyest person seem at ease. The experience as a whole was so great.(so worth my 45 minute drive there!) So much so I would love to go back and do another one! My husband was thrilled with my hair and makeup and he can't wait to see the pictures! I was there for about 3 hours and they never made me feel rushed. Their professionalism was apparent with their organization for their studio and the array of beautiful wardrobe options they had to offer. I can't rave about them enough!!! I felt after the 3 hours I was there that I was leaving a good friends home. Yes...they are THAT nice and kind! You don't get customer service like that regularly anymore. Highly recommended! I bought a Groupon with some friends and had a great time. Carol and Stacy are delightful to work with and will make you feel like a glamorous model! THE GOOD: - Such nice people! Of course, they are trying to make you feel like a million bucks and say every picture is perfect (so you buy the whole CD) but they do a good job at it... - The photography. Directions on how to put-what-where and arch in entirely uncomfortable ways without mashing up your face in concentration were right on. I was amazed at how many photos really DID come out well, using the filters and light and tricks they have. - Great hair and makeup. Yes, it was entirely over the top (I've never worn fake eyelashes) but it was fantastic! LOVED it. And with my fair skin, I wasn't plastered with bright red lipstick, etc - they'll cater the colors and design to you. - Cute setups. When you enter the back of the house (I did retro) you'll be overwhelmed at the number of backdrops and props and stuff crammed into the space. But they work! - Fair warning: My appointment was almost 4 HOURS long (makeup - hair prep - selecting outfits - final hair - 30 min shoot - selecting pictures...) THE EH: - Clothing options. While they had a TON to choose from, I'm one the small side. So, while I was hoping for a cute retro dress or "costume," most of what fit me were little two-pieces. My shot was more boudior than retro. I felt rushed trying to make an outfit out of pieces that only half fit or didn't interest me. - Clothing options (again). Bring your own stuff, including stockings. Especially if you have something particular in mind. - The cost. My Groupon was $99 for a half hour photo shoot and 8x10" print (plus at least an hour for makeup and hair). Great deal. I had every intention of picking one shot and getting the heck out of there. However, you only get to choose 1 print and my half-hour session produced 141 photos. You can buy 5 prints for $30 each (a total of $150) or the whole CD (lightly touched up and everything) for $175. It's no wonder set most reviewers say they buy the CD. THE BAD: - Warning: It costs $30 to bring someone with you as friend/confidence booster. I get why - the space is small and cramped, so not recommended. - Read the rules they email you. OMG!!! I can't even begin to sing Carol and Stacy's phrases. I was concerned as to how my pictures and make-up/hair would come out as there are NO black people pictured on their FB page or website. I experienced the same as others with respect to the email confirmation with what to bring, timing, etc so I won't go into it. I purchased the CD with my images and can't stop looking at them. I have looked at them EVERY day since I got them in the mail on Tuesday (I received the CD & 8 x10 within two weeks.) I LOVED my make-up. It looked so naturel. I choose the "run-way" model look and WOWZERS! And I am very critical so needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. I kept snapping pics of my make-up with my cell phone...lol. I will definitely do this again. I will try the vintage this time since I did the retro house. Recently came on a Living Social deal and I really didn't know what to expect. I was nervous the whole night before, as I had never done anything like this. I made sure I read their e-mail with detailed instructions on what to bring and how to come and prepared myself beforehand. I made the trek from Culver City and as I approached the door, I was greeted so warmly that all the nervousness dissipated. I first met Stacy who I must say is a whiz with makeup. The location I chose (vintage) just happened to be her home, which was absolutely beautiful. Stacy was so funny and kind and made me feel totally at home while she pampered me and made my hair and makeup look like a beautiful pinup. She took her time with me, I never felt rushed for a second. She even styled my hair exactly how I asked. As soon as Stacy was done with me I met Carol who led me to where I would be having my photo shoot. I was helped to pick out the outfits I'd be wearing during the shoot and then given some privacy to change. I have to say that I was pretty nervous as I am not as thin as I once was and I was nervous that I wouldn't look like the girls photos I had seen Iconic Pinups do. Carol made me feel so comfortable. She knew exactly how to angle me and pose me so that I looked fabulous. When I saw the photos I was flabbergasted! I was so impressed by their professionalism and talent. Their friendly nature made me feel happy and comfortable the whole time. I've already got a handful of friends dying to get photos done themselves! I went back to another shoot with Iconic Pinups. This time was themed for Halloween / Day of the Dead. Since I was going to have sugar skull makeup I figured it would be best to have it on Halloween. I was able to easily get an appointment on Friday, 10/31 mid-afternoon. This time my shoot was at the vintage house. I had purchased several outifts / costumes as I wasn't sure which set I was going to use and how it was all going to come together. Stacey and Carol were awesome when it came to helping me style of my outfit. My makeup took awhile because it was 1/2 skull and 1/2 pinup, but Stacey did an AMAZING job. My photo shoot lasted about 15 minutes with Carol. She is such a pro at making you feel comfortable in front of the camera. She is awesome. I saw all the pics from the shoot and they look great. I'm waiting for the re-touched ones. It was another wonderful experience. I think I"m addicted. I can't wait to shoot with them again! read more

My experience at Iconic pinups was nothing but fabulous!. I was feeling a little shy, and nervous but Stacy was so nice, and friendly that I felt so much better almost immediate. I couldn't believe how amazing I looked after Stacy was done with my makeup, and hair!! Stacy is the best makeup artist I have ever met. I recently had a bachelorette pinup party with 4 girlfriends, and it was a truly fantastic and fun experience. Stacy works magic with her makeup and Carol takes great photos. Together they make you feel extremely comfortable and relaxed (the champagne also helps a little!); plus they have a fabulous treasure chest full of outfits and accessories. I started researching budoir photography as an idea for a wedding gift for my husband and came across the iconicpinups website. It sounded like so much fun, but a little intimidating, so I brought my friends along and we all had a blast. We're even planning on doing it again next year! Doing a shoot with Iconic Pinups was one of the most fun times I have ever had in my 31 years. I went with my sisters and cousin to start of my bachelorette party weekend. I have been meaning to yelp about Carol and Stacy! I purchased a groupon, and the next week I scheduled an appointment. Prior to the shoot I received an email describing exactly what I may need/want to bring, how much time would be spent on hair and makeup, and how long the photo shoot would be. I was excited when I learned that for an additional price I could have more time, and photos taken. I would LOVE to work with Carol and Stacy again. I am a pretty selfconscious little lady. Both Carol and Stacy made me feel extremely comfortable, they helped me select, and adjust different elements of my outfits in a patient, and kind demeanor. Answered all of my questions, and even when I felt that i was taking too much of their time, they continued to make me feel welcome. I believe every women should invest in an experience like this. Yes, the photos were technically for my boyfriend, but at a deeper level, they were for me. Very few of us have the opportunity to be made to look like a model, while posing in undergarments! Absolutely fantastic and unique experience, the photos turned out soooo amazing and my husband will really enjoy. A great and stunning gift. I thought it would be really awkward and I was super nervous but both Carol and Stacy are amazing and did such a good job. My makeup looked amazing, truly high quality stage makeup that really shined through in the photos. Also, they know the perfect poses to get the best looks with what you are wearing. Some tips: Bring your own outfits as that way you can save time and know what you like the best, but they do have great things to chose from if you aren't sure. They have everything well organized so its really not hard as long as you can read the emails and show up on time and prepared! Stacy and carol were fun, sweet, and made my husband I completely comfortable. I have super curly hair and sensitive eyes when it comes to make up. Stacy was able to work with my hair from its natural state and did a beautiful job with my makeup without giving me red and watery eyes. Out pictures turned out amazing! Carol knows how to make you look great even if you are not photogenic as is the case with me. Everyone I have shown my pictures too says they turned out cute/ sexy/ and beautiful all at the same time. After some health issues and other stressful grown-up life type stuff, I FINALLY booked my session with the lovely ladies at Iconic Pinups. We just had our maternity photo shoot today and it was amazing, fantastic and beyond! The ladies were very professional and accommodating! Made me feel so comfortable and at ease. We have never done photo shoots before and had no idea how to pose or position ourselves but Carol helped us all the way through and was very patient and seeked out the best view and lighting for every photo. She worked with us for an hour shoot. Two sets inside the house and the rest outside with our classic car. We had so much fun and I wish it never ended. We don't have the final product photos since we did just shoot today but Carol showed us the pictures in the camera as we went along and we are so happy with them already! Can wait to share them with family and friends. Hair and make up from Stacey was on point and so beautiful! I was so sad to wash it off by the end of the day! Many previous reviews comment that the make up is heavy or caked on but I know it's for the purpose of the photos. It's a good thing cause I had a chin break out and you can't tell I have three giant pimples there. After the shoot I just lightly dabbed off the extra make up and was good for the rest of the day out for dinner. I highly recommend getting your photos done with these ladies. I had been scouting Iconic Pinups for a long time and finally decided to make the jump after I saw a LivingSocial deal come through ($99 - how can I refuse?). Typically, I have very low expectations for "deals" but Carol and Stacy were just amazing. I think they do shoots for such low costs because they know people will come back. I am going to be one of those people. The deal only included the "bedroom/boudoir" set but they have amazing retro kitchen sets too. At first I was a little hesitant to take Carol's direction about how to smile but when I saw the results, she was totally spot on. You feel kind of silly saying "Lalalalala" repeatedly but the way the picture itself actually looks, it's just a perfect expression. She's also fantastic at posing you and keeps the whole thing lighthearted. I didn't once feel self-conscious. Stacy - what can I say? She's a makeup genius. You get a choice of "traditional pinup" or "runway" look. The whole thing came together so beautifully. I felt super glam and she was so sweet. I felt very pampered and confident in front of the camera. This was such a positive experience. I highly recommend it to everyone! If you come across a deal, snap it up!
