You know those happy accidents, the ones that land in your lap at random and totally restore your faith in the Universe? That's a pretty good example of my experience with LA Photo Party. I was in a pinch and was searching for an open-air photography setup that I could host at my company's booth during an industry trade show...which happened to be taking place 3 days from when I first stumbled upon Brian's contact info & gave him a call. His voicemail message said he was out of the COUNTRY until that same day I was calling, so I expected him to be jetlagged and/or out of the office for a few more days. *SAD FACE* So, I continued plowing through Yelp and Google for what I was looking for and while photographers with open-air setups exist, none of them were willing to accommodate my tight timeframe, space limitations and/or wishes. (Sounds like a bad date, right? ..Just me?) Moving on! Time was running out, I was beating myself up for not making this happen sooner, and I was afraid that my vision for hosting an interactive photo party at our trade show booth was swirling down the drain. In an act of mercy from above, Brian somehow got in touch with me, even after that first attempt and hearing his disheartening "out of the country" message (apparently bursts of happiness cause blackouts from time to time....I attribute my memory loss to this) and I was immediately impressed with his upbeat and ready-to-help attitude. Not only could he provide an open-air photobooth setup for us AND company-branded photo print-outs for our attendees, but the package also included an instant social-media integration feature, which allowed our guests to upload their photos directly to Facebook, Twitter & send via email. LA Photo Party takes Cam-whoredom to a whole new level and dammit, I like it! I brought them aboard to work the Yelpoween party last night and honestly, they were the highlight of the event. With this massive white backdrop they were able to get many a shy yelper to get down on all fours, make funny to the camera, be silly, be wacky and they even got me to get on my knees and..... pray. Come on, where did you think I was going with that? Anyway, the coaching of the photographers is what sets LA Photo Party apart from other photo places. There's no "follow the birdie," "make love to the camera" or "Show us that tiger in you." No, no, no, this is more like "Dayum girl, make mama proud!" as you are surrounded by other party goers cheering you on. It's fun, it's exciting and can we just talk about how hot the pictures came out. This crew made me look sexier than socks on a rooster and that is no easy task!! They know EXACTLY what they are doing and know how to get the best shots possible in a most painless fashion. This is a true art people, trust me, I used to take people's headshots in college and to capture the person's spirit and personality in less than 3 or 4 frames is above and beyond impressive! Props-Fabulous-Fun!!! I felt so cool and fabulous to wear all the nifty props LA Photo Party provided at the LA Yelp Elemental event. There were boas, huge sunglasses, wizard outfits, wigs, and all other sorts of fun, fabulous things to put on to make your picture turn out FANtabulous. They even came up with nifty poses to do with our props, such as posing like a real bunny with bunny ears on. We used LA Photo Party for our engagement party of 80 people. I knew this was going to be a hit but I had not idea it was going to make the party! From the 4 year old kids to our 90 year old grandparents, everyone LOVED it. The props are a must, no matter how elegant the party is. Cost: At first I was blown away by the cost, but I still decided to try it out. After going to a few bridal shows and seeing other photo booths setup, I can really see the difference in quality between LA Photo Party and the other ones. Their setup looks like a real Hollywood photo shoot. Their equipment is high end and their staff is extremely professional (and very fun to work with). If you are deciding between a band and this fund photo booth, go with this!!! It is something that EVERYONE will enjoy for the ENTIRE duration of the party. Advice: Spend the money on the roaming photographer for the ENTIRE event. I only paid for one hour, but I wish I got it for the entire time. Everyone thought it was the coolest thing that you could directly upload the pics to your facebook or email it to yourself. Also make sure to pay for the unlimited downloads online. Your guests will appreciate not having to pay for their downloads. This is not just for weddings. This would be so cool for kids parties, birthday parties, anniversary parties, corporate events, Christmas parties, ANYTHING! Customer Service: 10/10.... How ofter do you hear that in LA.... If I were to do anything differently, I would have opened up the booth as soon as guest arrived, during cocktail hour and dinner, just to have more time, because it flew by! The crew was amazing-professional, ON TIME (early, even!), super nice, energetic and efficient. They were so flexible with coming early so the wedding ceremony wouldn't be interrupted by setting up. I think it's just me, but when someone yells at me "Free pictures.. hurry!", I automatically think that there is some sort of a catch. Even as they were taking my pictures... all I was thinking is that I only have $20 in my pocket and that's all going for the beer. Even when they handed me my free picture, I expected someone to say .. "That would be $XX, please!" :) These guys made taking pictures fun. True I came out in mine like a beached fish (standing around in one spot... confused by all the bright lights), but that's because that is the way I always look. :) They kept taking pictures as we were about to strike our poses to catch us in funny positions, which was pretty cool. Was very awesome of them to stay outside the bar, on Halloween night, and put up with drunk yelpers. I hired LA Photo Party and their Photosphere360 product for our wrap party . . . it was the best decision I made! The Photosphere360 was the main attraction and was a huge hit with all our crew and cast. Every step of incorporating the photo booth into our party was handled professionally and proactively. Brian and his crew were constantly available to us all through prep, asked thorough questions, and thought of all the details to ensure the Photosphere360 aspect of our party went smoothly. The night of the event, Brian and his crew were fantastic. I first encountered LA Photo party at a company event a couple of years ago. I remember there was a huge line for the photos. It was really popular, in fact, nobody was on the dance floor, they were in line for photos. When I saw the photos, I was amazed. Being very un-photogenic, I naturally shy away from the camera and shreek everytime I see a picture of myself. The pictures were beautiful!! Something about the white background and the bright flash makes everyone look brighter, happier, with flawless skin! It also allows them to do interesting perspective shots, holding someone in your hand, jumping through the air, etc. I sound like I'm exaggerating but these LA photo pictures are seriously the only pictures I have of myself to show people. At the time I thought to myself, if I ever get married I'm hiring these guys for my wedding reception. Fast forward 2 1/2 years later to my wedding reception. I've been to several weddings and they are usually all the same. The only advice I can give to people who are getting married is (a) spend money on photos, in the end that's all you'll have of your special day and (b) do something(s) to make your wedding unique and memorable, not just to you but to your guests. I can't tell you how many people told me what a great idea it was to hire LA photo party. So many of my conservative Asian relatives who don't dance, got up to take silly photobooth pictures. It was such a wonderful present for them to take home and also something fun, unique and memorable to do at the wedding. Many of my guests have their LA photo pictures on their Facebook, a couple of them have framed their pics and put them on mantles. It's such a great feeling knowing I gave them a wedding favor worth keeping! Not only is the product and idea great but the people are so much fun! The three staff members who worked our event were so fun and professional and nice! The owner Brian Miller is a really great, down to earth guy. You would think that someone who normally works with the entertainment industry like Bravo TV and major movie studios would be really arrogant towards a small timer who is hosting a mini-wedding reception but he treated me like my event was the only event he was working on! He customized the package to work with my budget and venue. I've been to many weddings where they have the machine photobooth. I've never once tried to cram in there with 4 other people (or by myself, for that matter .... like I said, camera shy). But at my wedding, I got to take "model-esque", "sex-in-the-city" shots with all four of my bridesmaids. Those machine photobooths cost about $1500-$1800, serious rip off. For just a little more, you can have something 100x better, a live photo shoot with real sized photos. You can have a photo of yourself on the day of your wedding .... priceless! read more

Funny hats, goofy glasses, hi-larious props, and excellent lighting all merge together with photographers who can make ANYONE look good. You pick funny stuff to wear, pose (take the recommendation from the photographer when he poses you - that dude knows what he doing!), a few snaps, and about 30 seconds later you are viewing the images on a monitor. The pics are cropped, printed on high quality photo paper, and you are done. Viola!
