I requested an estimate to repair roof damage that was causing a leak. The completed work was a basic patch that fell well below reasonable expectations, as shown in the photos. When I raised my concerns, Joe Taylor, the owner of Walsh Roofing, stated that the task has been completed because a repair using all new materials would have cost more and that I likely would have cancelled the work. I fail to see how receiving a reasonable quote for a professional repair would result in canceling a job. I asked for a reasonable price for a proper repair--not a low-cost, extremely substandard solution. The photos speak for themselves.

After budgeting to pay cash for the roof replacement I reach out to the company by phone and email for an updated quote which was provided. During our phone conversation he stated 1/3 down would be required. But, the update quote stated 1/2 down. I reach out him by email to address that and some other terms and conditions we wanted to negotiate. No response! Needless to say we got his non responsive message! Moving on to the next company.

Just got the final bill and they added $2,200 to replace wood. Not a call from them explaining why they need to replace 414 linear foot of wood. Update: negotiated wood cost down to $1500. Father and son came out to inspect roof. As before very knowledgeable and have a lot of good contacts. Apologized for not giving me a call on the wood. If I had known so much wood was rotten over the detached garage I probably would have torn it down.
