In 2024, my wife and I hired Ted Epstein of PDG Innovations (aka The Remodel Mob) to renovate both…read morebathrooms in our Myrtle Beach vacation condo. We chose Ted based on a trusted recommendation, his reasonable pricing, and his creative input during the planning phase. He also assured us he'd stand behind his work and remain available for any post-project concerns. That gave us confidence to move forward. Ted committed to starting in November and completing the job in 4-5 weeks, with one bathroom done by December and the other by January. Having worked with contractors before, we expected some delays and mentally extended the timeline to February. Unfortunately, the project wasn't completed until June--seven months after the start. While the finished bathrooms look good overall, the experience left us with significant frustrations: * Ted's communication deteriorated as delays mounted. Though he faced personal challenges, he offered no solutions to get the project back on track. * We monitored his work via our condo's security camera. Between late January and June, he worked only 172 hours out of a possible 761--less than 50% of available workdays, averaging under 3.5 hours per day when he did show up. * By February, we had paid over 50% of the contract but had seen less than half the work completed. We withheld further payment until progress resumed. After a tense call, we released more funds in March based on his promise to finish in April. That didn't happen. The job dragged on until June 2025 after starting November 2024. * When we finally inspected the work in July, we were eager to move on and issued the final payment. In hindsight, that was a mistake. We soon noticed several issues: o Only the shower areas of the ceilings were painted; the rest was left untouched, creating a visible mismatch. o Paint around trim and fixtures was sloppily applied and needed touch-ups. o Doors and moldings weren't repainted, leaving them noticeably dull next to the fresh wall paint. o The guest bathroom's shower valve doesn't function properly--the hand wand only works when the main shower head is running, which shouldn't be the case. o A wall in the kitchen damaged during the remodel was never repainted. o We were charged for two grab bars in the guest bath, but only one was installed. After final payment, Ted stopped responding to all communication--calls, emails, even a mailed letter. This was especially disappointing given his initial promise to stand by his work. To make matters worse, a subcontracted glass company contacted us for unpaid work, stating they couldn't reach Ted either. We clarified that Ted was responsible for their payment, and thankfully they accepted that. In the end, we spent an additional $1,500 fixing the remaining issues. While Ted is clearly a skilled contractor, his handling of this project was deeply flawed. The extended timeline, unresolved issues, and complete lack of follow-up communication make it impossible for us to recommend him. If you do hire him, insist on a milestone-based contract where payments are tied to completed work--not just dates. We gave Ted two weeks to respond to this review before posting it. As of now, we've heard nothing.

She got back to me in a couple of days, but said they couldn't do just the one side of the screened porch but they could do the entire screened porch?? They also had an independent person who could possibly so it - but he said also that he couldn't do. I clarified with her that they could do the entire porch but not just the one side. She said yes. Didn't make sense to me. So in otherwords, they didn't want a "smallish" job is the message I was getting. It is a totally screened porch - simply replacing the screens with windows. I did find someone to do it and have to say, I am disappointed with Window World. There was no valid reason that they gave me as to why it couldn't be done nor did they even bother sending someone out to see it. Not sure I would ever use them or recommend them. And from reading some of the reviews, maybe I dodged a bullet.
