For some reason, the employee responsible for our "care" wouldn't do a rapid test, so we were told we would have a result within 24-48 hours. Finally, after hearing no results after 72 hours, we reluctantly sent our still sick daughter to school Tuesday morning only to get a phone call that she WAS positive for Strep and we had to pull her from school. She could have been on antibiotics starting Saturday if the staff here had a clue, but now she is out of school until Thursday because of their incompetence. Just an absolute shit show. DO NOT BRING YOUR LOVED ONES HERE IF THEY ARE SICK!

He asked if I had questions and when I asked one in particular he laughed at me and gave me some information in the form of "Did you know...?". After I left the facility I did some further research on the topic and it turns out he was completely wrong on this point, according to the FDA. I regret not catching his name from his name tag. He was a charlatan.

A friend of mine had an eye injury at her place of work, and workers comp there said she needed to…read morego to Wellnow. So I took her to the nearest one, which was in Webster. We arrived at the door at eight pm, only to find out that every Wellnows close at 8 pm. "But I'm hurt!" "Come back tomorrow." The person with the injury said it was slight, and agreed to come back tomorrow, making an appointment for just after 8 am, when they open. After waiting for a half hour, we were told that we might have to wait another two hours. "But we had an appointment." "People came in before you." It's now an hour and a half later, and we're still not out of here. That says it all, doesn't it? The reason this is a three-star review, not a one-, is that the office receptionist was polite, decent, apologetic, and did her best to explain the hold-up; her, I would give a five. And I'm told that the medical care, when it finally arrived, was humane and competent, which also deserves a high mark. Nonetheless, my advice to Wellnow is to consider having at least one (1) establishment somewhere open 24/7 so that injured people after 8 pm won't be surprised by their closed doors. And also to work on their scheduling.

When I called about it, I was told there had been a second service I received in relation to my visit that warranted a second, separate co-pay. WHAT?!!! There was no indication on my billing statement to that effect or that I had even made the first co-pay toward the balance. I saved all documentation related to this visit and the related billing and charges. I also alerted my credit card company that this was a problem transaction due to a repeat charge. Fortunately it wasn't a big amount (I anticipate never seeing reimbursement), but I won't go back to Well Now due to this lack of transparency. This is after also calling U of R ortho in Webster (phone lines had an hour+ wait). Then over to WellNow (doesn't do imaging) and finally to UR Urgent Care on Empire who was open and does do imaging. They confirmed the break, got us stabilized and referred over to Galisano. All's well that ends well but talk about disconcerting.
