More importantly, a place that values its customers. I first read the reviews which were great and thought it was too good to be true. I called and first spoke with Johnny. He answered all my 500 questions with great patience! Johnny came across as an enthusiastic professional with a great attitude and a true sense for customer service. This is difficult to find in today's world, where many businesses could care less about the customer experience. He came across as though my potential business was important and valued. Additionally, Johnny brings decades of expert experience in health and fitness to the table. If he's not at the front desk, you can find him training gym goers. I've been working out here for about a month and it has been an amazing experience. I'm here early, grinding it out and go! Everyone one is nice, respectful, and doing their thing. Johnny is always asking me how its going and about my experience. In this economy, it is our collective responsibility to support small local businesses that TRULY CARE about the customer experience and Porky's Hardcore Fitness definitely fits the bill! The owner Johnny, originally work at the "old Porkys". He has opened this smaller version. It is very small but has a more then adequate range of machines & weights. The price is reasonable. There are trainers available. We are thrilled to be back in a more focused training environment. We look forward to going every week. It is " kinda of being back in our 'old' Porky's"! They are welcoming while being non obtrusive. The app is also helpful to pick non peak times. I love the non-judgement zone theme! Locker room/Bathrooms are reasonably clean. First time I called the girl told me she was gonna cancel the membership. No problem... second person had me email their manager ... third person told me the manager never got my email and then re-gave me the email that I had already sent proof of relocation to but also told me I would be entitled to a refund due to the amount of time I have called and emailed ... and now the manager is asking for bank statements ! Which is weird because I was going to move months prior and the only thing she asked for was flights or lease. I have sent utility bills, lease agreements and flights to prove that I have moved. They are now asking for bank statements! It is crazy how hard they make it to cancel your membership. On top of this do not sign up for their personal training. It is a complete joke. I was supposed to get one training session a week and I never got that. Paying $80 a week for a 20 minute session is absurd.

I identified several safety concerns with the manager and it went in one ear and out the other. Weights are never re-racked and some of the staff should be reminded that they work at a higher end gym and should treat the members with respect.
