I have an iPad as backup for documents and navigation but can't easily make calls with it. So a dead iPhone is a huge safety concern for me. I call Apple and they are willing to ship me a phone anywhere but can't guarantee an arrival date. They suggest I stop by MEDIAsolutions in Whitehorse, Yukon. The town in which I live has over 50,000 residents. The entire province of Yukon has a significantly smaller population, so while hopeful, I figured it was a longshot to either revive or replace the iPhone. I figured I'd have to wait weeks and many miles to have my phone issue addressed in Anchorage. I couldn't have been more lucky than to walk into MEADIAsolutions and to meet its founder, Trevor. His iOS tech(s) were out that day, but after hearing my dilemma he went to work immediately and within hours my dead phone was evaluated as truly dead, I had a replacement phone (via AppleCare), and he even hung out after hours so that my new phone could get most of the way through a restore-from-backup. And as if that wasn't enough, his staff were super kind to my kids. As far as I'm concerned, both my experience at MEADIAsolutions and Trevor himself are some of the highlights of this trip. I've never written a Yelp review but the care and attention I was given today deserves mention. Thanks Trevor & colleagues for taking care of my phone and by extension, my family.

They also are our Lightspeed point of sale dealer and Trevor was invaluable in the transition from our previous POS to Lightspeed. The only reason for 4 not 5 stars is that I'm not a fan of having to use an iPad in store to get in a queue to buy a small accessory like a charger cable or iPhone case. It makes sense for service, but not for general sales.
