Friendly service, generous helpings, and decent prices. Their ice cream is delicious, and the prices are very reasonable.

The people are nice, the placement is nice, and you get a good amount of ice cream for a great price.

Cute hole-in-the-wall!…read more Closer to Cornell than the Frosty Cow! Lots of flavor options, but sad you can't get more than one flavor. I tried the custard and it was delicious! Not as eggy tasting as I expected... actually not eggy tasting at all. Still creamy and sweet. Large portions. Also tried the cotton candy hard icecream which was good but not my type of flavor. Make sure to check out the toad tire garden when you're here! A few benches in the garden for sitting too. Overall, I would recommend! Not quite as polished as the Frosty Cow, but it has its own Ithacan charm about it.

The woman who ultimately served us gave me the wrong order claiming I ordered a twist. I did not. When I restated my order she got snippy and said I should order a certain way. I wanted a specific flavor and asked for that again. She brought another order and it was vanilla not the flavor I ordered after pressuring us to order something else. I returned the ice cream and she claimed angrily that people can't taste that flavor. It was vanilla there was no flavor. I returned it and asked to be reimbursed. When we were leaving she immediately gave us mean us and started talking about us. It's unfortunate we were really looking forward to ice cream on a nice day. The customer service and claims concerning the flavors turned into gaslighting and an uncomfortable situation for our family.

I visited your ice cream shop recently and wanted to share some feedback regarding my experience…read more While your ice cream is quite good, the customer service fell far short of what is acceptable. My group stood in line at the second window after the first one was taking a long time, only to watch multiple people get served elsewhere while we were ignored. When we moved back to the first window, the second one suddenly opened. When I calmly mentioned this confusion, the employee working--who identified herself as Tessa--became defensive, rushed our order aggressively ("what else, what else, what else"), and then loudly talked about me right in front of me, telling someone else that I was "freaking out" and claiming that window only opens when it's busy (even though there was clearly a line). She also made a point to mention that the interaction was recorded on camera. As someone who runs an organization where customer service is our number one priority, this was a disappointing display of a lack of emotional intelligence and basic hospitality. A simple acknowledgment of the confusion or a polite apology would have instantly resolved the situation. Additionally, if there is a specific rule about when the second window is supposed to open, there really needs to be a clear sign posted. Given how many out-of-town visitors you receive, relying on unwritten rules only leads to frustrated customers. I hope you will use this as a coaching opportunity for Tessa on de-escalation and customer relations.

Great spot for soft serve, just a short drive away from Cornell!…read more I tried the red velvet soft serve and really enjoyed it. It didn't taste like red velvet cake at all... it just kind of tasted like vanilla, with a hint of chocolate maybe? Nonetheless, the color is fun and I liked it. A very cute spot for icecream. Quite a few picnic tables to sit at although only one is shaded so it can get pretty hot. There is also a drive through which is nice! Lots of flavor options! Overall, I would recommend!

I'd been wanting to check out Frosty Cow for a while and I finally got the chance to go with my…read moregirlfriend and a friend... except none of us actually ordered anything. And no, we didn't see any cows either. Strike one. The second time was more eventful. I went with a different group of friends, and this time we did get ice cream and see the cows. (Let me be clear: the cows are not part of the official Frosty Cow experience, but somehow, they're always part of the story.) They're just... there. Big, red-eyed, slightly intimidating cows, chilling nearby like unofficial mascots. We got lowkey scared at first, but of course, that didn't stop us from taking a ridiculous amount of photos. It's unpredictable, though; Another time we drove past, and the cows were nowhere to be found. So if you're planning your visit around cow sightings, maybe call ahead and ask, "Are the cows out tonight?" Totally normal question. As for the ice cream, it's definitely worth the hype. We got the Fruity Pebbles flavor, which was creamy and nostalgic in the best way. My girlfriend found it a little too milky for her taste, but I loved how rich and dairy-forward it was. The cereal bits gave that perfect crunchy finish. All in all, whether you're in it for the ice cream or just hoping for cows, Frosty Cow is a fun little stop worth checking out.
