Recently they came out and the tech told me the unit had a gas leak and needed to be replaced immediately. That diagnosis did not lineup with the fact the unit was performing flawlessly. I voiced my skepticism to the company but the technician insisted we had a leak. I called RMI for a second opinion. RMI sent, Jim Z., to check out our AC unit. Jim thoroughly went over our AC but did not find a leak nor any other suspect problems. He said the HVAC was performing perfectly. I was pleased with Jim's attention to detail, knowledge and professionalism. The quality of service was outstanding and the service charge was reasonable. RMI is now my go to HVAC service company. I can't say enough great things about RMI.

He diagnosed the problem under my kitchen sink, and got right to it. He was probably in and out in twenty minutes. Just Stay Away. I had a very disappointing experience with this company. They clearly states that…read morediagnostic service is free, but once the technician arrived, he quoted a very high "diagnostic fee" just to begin the job. When I questioned the price, he immediately lowered it, which made the whole interaction feel more like dealing with a salesman than a professional electrician. I was being taken advantage of, no doubt as I'm also do home improvement. It came across as intentional upcharging and pressure tactics, and the entire situation felt untrustworthy. Overall, the experience felt like a scam attempt, and I would not recommend this company to anyone looking for honest, straightforward electrical work. A simple job shouldn't be costing hundreds to thousands dollars.

I just had a septic pump replaced at my house. After the crew announced the job complete and post…read morepayment, I inspected the area of my property where the job was completed. It was then I discovered that the crew broke a memorial stepping stone for my beloved deceased dachshund Strudel. The crew did not tell me about the bad news. They just discarded the memorial off to the side in the grass like trash! I called the company to complain and was transferred to an "owner" who was rude, unprofessional, unconcerned, and decided to scold me for having a memorial stone where the crew did work. Seriously, this is my property and I happened to try and decorate the area adjacent to an ugly septic mound with potted plants and stepping stones. Of course the crew did not perfectly put my decorations back, but that's not what I care about. They broke my property, a simple but special stepping stone, did not notify me, left and then their owner scolded me for having the property where I placed it a few years ago, and scolded me for thinking I had a right to place it there! He never offered to replace the property which is what I would expect the owner of a company to do and at least care that his crew damaged personal property while making a repair. It was a simple paw print stepping stone, but I guess maybe Tropical Plumbing does not care about personal property of their customers while they perform work. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. They will wreck your stuff and blame you for having that stuff! It could have easily been picked up and placed to the side and then placed back...not shattered and thrown in the grass without anyone telling me. SHAME ON THIS BUSINESS!!!! I WILL NEVER CALL THEM AGAI

They made excuses as to why they did not perform the services saying things like, "My partner was supposed to clean that so you'll have to ask him why it was not cleaned, I'm not tall enough to clean up there, etc." I explained my expectation was for them to perform the services listed on the cleaning list. After asking them to complete all of the services on the list, they went back and "poorly" cleaned a few items that were missed. I will never hire this company again.
