Everyone was super nice from start to finish, especially the assistants, Savannah & Laurel. They made me feel at ease and distracted me with talk of music and such (even put my kind of music on). Awful doctor. He was so disrespectful when I merely asked him questions before an extraction. He shouted at me and said he should do my procedure without pain killers. Do not dare question the mighty tooth god! I asked the assistant to remove my IV and walked out. The staff seemed to be used to his frequent outbursts. Turns out my tooth wasn't even cracked. Had another dr address the problem for 10% of what Thompson was charging. Nope. Avoid at all costs. read more

I went into have a tooth extracted that had a root canal that had failed he did a bone graft without telling me he would do that and then he also filled it with pig bone. I was having concern about it with dealing with autoimmune I was worried if I may react to it !so he just hurried up and took it out I also believed he cracked the tooth behind it! I've been having a problem with that tooth since he removed the other, he wouldn't even look at the tooth. or the bone spur where he had done a bone graft without my consent, im now having what I believe is bone loss as my jaw is changing shape he said I should've left the pig bone in there and how he did the me a favor not once did he explain to me what he was doing he just took it upon himself to do that without talking to me then when I questioned it, he just wanted to remove it and now I'm having more problems. so I made an appointment to go back in for him to look at the changes but he verbally abuses me tells me I'm wasting his time and his staff tried to block me from going into the waiting area, where my husband was! This is not a doctor. I recommend he does not stand behind his work and now I'm dealing with a crack tooth and bone loss. And to top it all off, then he verbally abuses me in his office. read more

Dr Thompson recently extracted a broken tooth that I had which was incredibly painful and had me struggling bad. He was very professional and quickly removed the broken tooth and had me on my way in no time!! Hats off to him and his wonderful staff (everyone was so friendly and caring) I would recommend them Super happy patient!! read more

Friendly staff, Dr is awesome, came in to uncover my implant that was put in awhile back, took about 25 minutes and it was done, also let's you know when there is possibly some pain coming. Would recommend them to those wanting implants! read more

First off, everyone there was originally incredibly nice and answered any questions I had about any fears or worries I had about being put under. It was my first time being put under for a "surgery" since I was 2 or 3 for a Tonsillectomy. I went in for my surgery two days after my consultation to get my remaining 3 wisdom teeth out and everything went well. They took great care of me and healing has gone well. However, I have a few issues with Dr. Thompson. He made a comment after asking me how I was and if I was ready about how "all the pretty women always respond negatively to him" after I responded with no, but let's get it over with. Fast forward to day 5 of recovering, I returned to work but noticed I was still pretty sleepy and weak and shaky. I was also getting dizzy and I started uncontrollably having a panic attack, WHICH ALL OF THIS IS A COMMON REACTION TO AMOXICILLIN. I told them all prior to the surgery that my mother is allergic to amoxicillin and I do not know if I am. I had my boyfriend call them to inquire about the issue since I was still trying to calm down. They wanted me to come in to assess what was going on so we went in. I was mostly out of my reaction but was still crying a bit here and there. I get into the exam room and the sweet lady (I did not catch her name but she was SO nice) was asking me a bunch of questions to help figure out what was going on. I am essentially pain-free at this point so I haven't taken my hydrocodone since the night of day 3 and Ibuprofen since the morning of day 3. The only extra medication in my system is Amoxicillin. Dr. Thompson came in and was asking me the same questions but was leaning more toward me making all of this up and that it was all in my head and proceeded to use my anxiety as the issue here. I tried telling him again that I am not on an anti-anxiety meds, I take Venlafaxine for depression. I have my doses under control and he tried to blame it all on the weather and that I was just needing to up my antidepressant dose to get through this because my wounds are healing fine and in his "20 years he has been doing this, he has NEVER heard of a reaction like this to amoxicillin." When I reminded him that my mom is allergic too, that she reacts THE SAME WAY as well as getting hives, he dismissed me and said a nurse probably told her that, because a doctor would NEVER do that. Before I could respond, he had thanked me for coming in and told me to have a good day and he ran out of the room. I would NOT recommend going here if you want someone who genuinely cares about their patients and doesn't dismiss you when you have concerns about your healing process. This feels very much like the run-of-the-mill I am a woman so he dismissed my concerns because I was being emotional. As soon as he left the room, the lady that was in there with me IMMEDIATELY apologized for his behavior and told me that he comes off like that sometimes and that she was just sorry I had to deal with that. His employees shouldn't have to apologize for the way he treats his patients and they shouldn't have to clean up a grown man's messes. Do not go here. read more

I had to take my mother to this place to have four of her teeth pulled, I have never seen a place treat a person like a piece of crap like this place dI'd. Apparently everything went all right in the back during the surgery, again it was my mother having to work done and not me. My mother is very big into homeopathy and was trying to take some homeopathic medication immediately after the procedure and we were rushed out like we were holding up their company or something. I asked the dental assistant, and the person that did the procedure about this, and they immediately did not know what I was talking about and got very mad and rushed us out of the building as soon as I could. They physically stopped my mom from moving her arms or hands at this point in time and literally turned her body pushed her up and so-called helped us to the car and hurry up and got back into the building. I've never been so mortified in my life that companies, like this treat people like this if I could leave more reviews in more places for them like this, I will be very happy to inform people of how they are. Needless to say, I would not recommend this place for even my dog. Having my dogs teeth was more pleasurable being worked on at the vet. read more

I would love to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Brittney and Selena for the care they provided me this morning during my second surgery. And of course, Dr.Thompson. I feel Dr.Thompson has excellent bedside manner and these ladies also matched this level of excellence and care amazingly. They were both incredibly and kind. They went out of their way to help me be calm and feel comfortable and asked if I had any questions. They rubbed my back to help me relax and I just felt so well cared for by Selena and Brittney, making the whole experience so smooth. I can't thank them enough as I know it's hard to always be this aware of your patient's needs and be kind even if you may have a bad day. They are amazing and such a great part of the staff at ICare. My first procedure a few months ago, I had one very nice nurse and one who was very harsh and cold to me. She said I did not have any time to ask questions. I could do the surgery that day or I could ask questions and turn it into a second consultation (mind you I had like 2 questions, which would have taken 30 seconds to answer.) This was a different employee who I believe may be the boss of the other ladies as she was older and seemed to be higher seniority. Because of this, I was upset and trying not to cry and woke up from anesthesia very upset. However, thankfully the other nurse who helped me (I believe her name may have been Paige if I remember correctly) helped me feel more comfortable and was very very kind. The older woman who's name i do not recall is the only person who has ever been less than amazing to me here. I know the office is busy, but patients deserve the extra 30 seconds of reassurance. I understand there is a schedule but within reason, it is worth making the patient feel safe and comfortable. Which, everyone else has always done, except form this employee. Perhaps she had an off day which I totally understand, but I think it is important to be aware of that in such a line of work. Again, this is the only person I have ever had any negative experience with at Icare, and everyone else, even Kristina in billing who was a tremendous help figuring out my insurance coverage goes above and beyond and I would recommend very highly! If possible, ask for Brittney and Selena if you can and along with Dr. Thompson who did amazing detail oriented work completing two more complicated procedures on myself, you will be in amazing hands! I am one of those people who are terrified of dental work, so I was rather unhappy when my dentist told me one of my molars was shot and needed to come out. Worse, my insurance company only covers one oral surgeon in the area - Dr. Thompson, whom I'd never met. I figured he probably would be an unskilled/evil/sadistic dentist if he was the only one my insurance covered! I was extremely pleasantly surprised - their building and offices are very classy, the entire staff was wonderful - so friendly, caring, and supportive and Dr. Thompson is amazing!!! Very friendly, extremely professional and honestly, an incredible oral surgeon - I barely felt the needle he put in my hand for the IV, he extracted my molar (I got to sleep through the entire thing) and did such a perfect job that I have had absolutely NO PAIN, no swelling and no bruising. I am more uncomfortable after a regular cleaning that I was after this. I am very impressed. If I need to lose more teeth I will return to Dr. Thompson, even if I've moved out of state!!! :) read more

I had been avoiding getting my wisdom teeth out for some time, and I wasn't sure where to go. My roommate suggested iCare being that they had taken hers out years before and she had a great experience with them. I went in mid- November for a consultation, and scheduled my surgery for the end of November. I was so nervous, but the team at iCare Oral Surgery made me feel 100x better. My surgery for all four of my teeth and stitches were done in under a half hour and I had a very easy recovery. The staff is great and Dr. Thompson even puts his personal phone number on your paperwork in case you have any concerns about your procedure after office- hours. I highly recommend them! read more

I suffered the night before with severe pain . I was referred to iCare Oral Surgery (Thank God) Carol (my angel) so sweet and very knowledgeable. She is very passionate about what she does . I am so thankful for the excellent customer service that I received . The dentist and Carol worked great together while doing the procedure making sure I was comfortable and knew what was going on at all times ! I would recommend me them anytime. Very nice office . My daughter had a traumatic dental experience when she was younger. She has since been terrified, so the thought of getting 4 teeth pulled was horrible. The staff is fantastic!!!! They took the time to tell and show her exactly how things would go the day of with IV sedation. They made it easy peasy for her & me too. I would give them a rating of 100 if I could. Dr. Thompson and his staff helped me in a bind. I was in horrible pain and beyond desperate for help. I had just moved to Michigan and had no insurance or income. I hadn't left my bed in days because the pain was so bad and I couldn't even work because of it. They saw me the same day and he immediately gave me solutions. He also did a biopsy so that we could figure out what it was and how to prevent future issues. read more

If I could give 0 stars then I would. I went in to have 4 wisdom teeth pulled on my break from school. I proceeded with the surgery and being sedated and when the surgery was over I was told everything went smoothly as planned. Dr. Thompson said my surgery was not going to be complicated and I had a simple case. After a week of healing I felt something poking me where my wisdom tooth should have been pulled. I called the office and was told a piece of bone may have reammerged, which is normal. After going in to have that looked at Dr. Thompson realized he had never pulled the 4th wisdom tooth to begin with but had loosened it in order to pull it. This was a surprise to me because I had paid an excessive amount to have 4 teeth pulled. He was not apologetic at all and just pulled the tooth on the spot, which was traumatic for me because the whole reason I was sedated was to not be awake during the pulling. His only reason for missing the tooth was that he got distracted by the nurses singing during my procedure. I then started to feel something sharp poking the inside of my mouth and realized it was a broken tooth. So I went into my actual dentists office to have it looked at and he noticed that half of my tooth was broken off. He said this had happened during the removal of my wisdom teeth because Dr. Thompson was too forceful. When I called Dr. Thompson he acknowledged the fact that part of my tooth that's in front of my wisdom tooth broke off during the procedure, but he never thought to mention it. I also got charged for 30 minutes of anesthesia when the whole procedure only took him 15 minutes. Maybe he could've used the extra 15 minutes he charged me for to actually take his time and do the procedure correctly. In addition I was numb for 3 days after my procedure when the numbing was supposed to have gone away after 8 hours. When I called his cell phone after hours he told me that he may have hit a nerve, but couldn't remember and he would check his notes in the morning. Worst surgeon to go to he will mess up your mouth. Dr Thompson is the best dentist I have EVER been to in my entire life. I had a scare about a year ago and he removed my wisdom teeth and He could not have been more professional and it went so well!! Would recommend to any one afraid of getting their teeth done! 10/10!!! read more

The staff coordinator were awsome, Dr. Thompson neglected his moral responsibility to the profession. I went there with a reference from my dentist, to have my bridge removed, and to give my soft pallet and cheek biospy for pre cancer cells. Dr. Thompson biopsy my tongue. The surgey was on November 27, I followed up a week later with my dentist and the question came up why the tongue? I went back to Dr. Thompson, he saw me for 5 minutes, and said my mouth no longer had pre cancer cells. I asked why did you biospy the wrong area, and I received a song and dance, nothing of any explaintion of why, or aplolgy, people make mistakes. Concerned I got a 2nd opinion, and by the grace of God I don't have cancer. I also don t have insurance, I paid in full, for both doctor's. read more
