The other way to find a place is to park in the garage and then walk around on the outside of the garage to find the stairs that lead to the entrance of the Urgent Care center. There are signs on the walls that will indicate the Urgent Care Center. Cons: First, they give you forms that are copied from an original that was obviously highlighted so you can't see some of the words. I don't understand why they can't get a clean copy of the forms. Second, the forms are outdated and do not have a lot of room for you to write your medical history, medications, etc. Third, the medical assistant needs more tact in communication. She opened the door and pointed in my direction, but I was sitting around a group of people, so it wasn't clear who she was pointing to. She should have announced the last name of the person. It's rude to point fingers at people. I tried to clarify if she was asking for me to come up, and then, she says yes you. She has very poor communication skills. She does not greet you at all. She doesn't explain the process or what to do after the visit is over. I have managed medical clinics, so I know what I am talking about. Pros: The receptionist seemed proficient. The place is clean and seems organized. The wait is usually not that long, but you can always call ahead to see how long the wait is. The physician assistant seemed proficient and was friendly. As with any medical visit, always call ahead to confirm if they take your insurance and bring your ID and insurance card(s), a list of your current medications, medical conditions/history, and other names of your other doctors to make it easier. I would visit them again to give them another chance if I ever needed Urgent Care again. I hope they use this feedback to improve.

Some examples of my experiences with them in the 8 days that we used them: We called the nurse there and was advised to take my husband to ER on a Sunday night. She advised us to cancel out aide the next day because my husband might be admitted. It turned out that the ER visit was not necessary so we returned home around 4:30am. I called their 24-hour hotline and was told by Patrick that he would contact the scheduler at 7:30am to see if we can get our aide back. When I finally got up in the morning after an exhausting night, I called back and found that Patrick didn't contact the scheduler at all. He only did it after I called and told me that the earliest time that an aide could come was 2:30pm. My husband's diaper/sheet was saturated with urine in the morning and I am not strong enough to change him. I had to call another agency to get help. They sent someone over in 40-minutes and helped me clean up my husband. That was an extremely unpleasant and stressful experience. We talked to Brightstar and one of the aides, hoping to have her sign up for more shifts with us. They insisted that it can't be done, but the aide was puzzled because she clearly had the availability. One aide was sleeping on the job, another one had many issues and I told them that I'd rather take care of my husband myself if she was the only one available. I emailed a few people at Brightstar (including the scheduler) about changing the hours from 12-hour per day to two 4-hour shifts. A few days later, I got the new schedule, it still showed 12-hour per day. They claimed that it's hard to get the same aides for the fixed shifts because they all work for different agencies. We had a revolving door of caregivers the first week. The new agency found fixed aides for us in less than 2 days and promised that they'll be the same for the remainder of the time that we still use them (unless any of them are sick or have emergencies - which is reasonable). It CAN be done! My husband (who is in hospice) is very happy with the new aides and I am relieved that I no longer have the headaches dealing with the issues associated with Brightstar.

I myself am a healthcare worker and I'm aware of what the services should entail. They are clearly vested in their businesses bottom line, not patient care. My dad was seen by an licensed PT for the initial evaluation and the he was then assigned to a PTA, who was very nice, but would've done absolutely nothing with my dad other than sitting in chair doing leg exercises, had I not requested she work on functional tasks performing sit to stand, walking with his walker and assessing if he could do stairs as he was independent and able to climb 14 steps prior to his recent hospitalization. Furthermore when the PTA did come she was only there for usually 30 mins max. As other people had noted in the reviews, and where I think the problems stem from, are the higher ups the branch manager and above. They did an awful job in scheduling caregivers and abysmal communication/responses when reaching out to them. Sadly this organization he really declined and I would not recommend them for any home health services.
