I stayed at this hotel for a solo trip in October 2019. The hotel is located near the main shopping area of Trier and is accessible by car or by foot from the Trier HBF. The hotel is located inside a square with trendy restaurants and other offices. When placing the address on Google Maps, the directions will lead you to the back of hotel which is where the parking is located. I was lost initially and I was able to speak with a hotel personnel when I arrived at the back of the hotel. I was directed to go to the front of the hotel. Basically, the entrance of the hotel can be confusing and the signs for Ibis Styles Trier is not easily found and there are no arrows or directions pointing to where the hotel lobby is located.
My room was located in the 4th floor of a building across from the hotel lobby. The room was of adequate size. The bathroom was of adequate size as well. Air conditioning worked well and the windows can be tilted to open for some fresh air. The room was quiet and had a view of the Cathedral. The room had a safe for valuables, hangers, a table that folded, and a few electrical outlets. Lighting was adequate. However, there were no "closed" drawers or closet space to put clothes. If you decide to empty your luggage, the small open cabinet will be the only option or the fold up table. Breakfast was adequate and I appreciated the availability of breakfast early in the morning all the way up to 11 am.
Front desk who checked me in was friendly.
