Spacious lounge with plenty of lounge seats, buffet food service, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic choices), and direct views of the runways if you like to watch planes depart/land. Arrived on a Monday afternoon around 3pm and there was no line to enter. Lounge was about 40% full. After showing my boarding pass and lounge pass at the front desk I walked in and chose a seat close to one of the food/drink buffet stations to grab a quick lunch. There were warm and cold food options, nothing super impressive though appreciated the range of salad and a few cooked veggie and meat items. A handful of dessert items, savory snacks and fruit rounded out the food choices. Drinks ranged from wines, liquors, beer to coffee and tea, soda, juice, seltzer selections. Overall lounge was pretty clean, staff was efficient and generally friendly. The section I was in didn't have the soaring ceilings that some other lounges have at MAD though still felt open and comfortable. Bathrooms were clean and I believe there are shower facilities though I didn't peek in to check them out. Wouldn't mind stopping by this or any of the other MAD lounges again!

What a pleasant place to kill almost four hours as we waited for our American Airlines flight back to the US. Compared to many of the airline lounges in the US that are cramped and overcrowded this one is very nice. The selection of both breakfast and lunch foods on the buffet were very good (we were there that long!). The staff did a good job keeping everything stocked and the place nice and clean. It was a peaceful place at a very hectic airport.

Sala is a decent lounge and is sufficiently spacious. The lounge offers a decent variety of food buffet style. Seating is comfortable and service is relatively quick to clear the tables. Overall it is fine for an airport lounge.

Iberia has two lounges, one in the main terminal and one in the satellite, and I used the latter. It was clean and spacious, but I was slightly disappointed by the buffet options for breakfast. There were good views from the windows of the planes and a really cute little kids area. In other news, I didn't see any hard alcohol, so I asked one of the workers for Baileys, and she happily brought me over to the locked cabinet and brought out a variation for my coffee. Nice.

Elegant stunning ceilings.

Stunning, elegant, great staff, access to great food, beverages and just simply amazing. I think it's better than the Delta Airlines lounge in Salt Lake Utah Airport.

Full bar with beer, wine and plenty of soft drinks, juices water and coffees. Soups sandwiches fresh bread and pastries with lots of snacks like chips nuts and cut fruit. This lounge is nicer than most because they have these great chairs that you can stretch out on.

Spacious, tranquil airline lounge in Madrid Aeroport's Terminal 4S, full of light and full of amenities! Plenty of comfortable seating, 2 buffet areas with a generous variety of beverages and comestibles, 2 restroom areas, shower rooms, sleeping/napping/quiet area, large selection of international newspapers and magazines, TV room, wifi, all complimentary. Iberia nailed it with this terrific lounge. I could live here. I want to live here. It's got everything I need.

Flying business or first class on Iberia? You have access to this lounge. It's big. It's well maintained. It is bright and airy with floor to crying Windows looking out onto runway. It's well staffed. It has a lot of hot and cold foods. Morning. Afternoon. Evening menus. Free alcohol. Free wines. Free beers. Free wifi. Extra clean bathrooms. And showers, too. Not much more to say. It beats sitting around the gate area.

Some of the hundreds of seats available at the T4s iberia VIP lounge.

The Iberia lounge confirms my feeling that all European OneWorld lounges are better than American-based Oneworld lounges.

I was happy to see, given airport rules and the fact we were about to board a super long direct flight back to LAX, that despite it being mid-morning, all the drinks were out, by which I mean a decent number of pretty good looking Spanish wines, a decent handful of relatively mid-tier spirits, two amari, vermouth, cans of beer, as well as espresso from an auto-espresso-machine, and several juices. Everything you need to make a whole bunch of cocktails if you're that sort of nerd. (For good and bad, everything's pour-yourself. The upsides are obvious - the main downside was that they didn't have anything for measuring, you just had to pour by eye. That's fine though, I was just making them for myself :D.) Obviously being still mid-morning, I didn't have a chance to try *all* the wines (though one other benefit of being pour-yourself is that made it easy to pour a *small* amount of wine, if you did want to try a couple, which I did (pretty decent.) I was amused to note that the two amari and the vermouth were all classic Italian brands rather than Spanish, though. Also had a solid brandy Negroni and a great Giribaldi (orange juice and amaro :)). And an espresso by itself, which was just decent (decent enough for free, that's for sure.) There wasn't any line for it when we were there (again, mid-morning), either. Food-wise, at the time, there were a handful of different sandwiches, which were all fairly mediocre by themselves. They also had a diy selection of salami and cheese, with olive oil and vinegar. Put those together and you have much better sandwiches! There was plenty of space when we got there - and it was nice that it had a solid 2nd-floor view to outside that got plenty of natural light... even if it was a view of a parking lot, not the runway. If I were paying to get in, though, I dunno. Might still be worth it if we wanted to do a wine tasting while we were there... wine at an airport outside a lounge would be like 15+ bucks a glass. Maybe not mid-morning though. I already miss having a card that let me and my wife into places like that for free, and I haven't flown anywhere else yet since, lol.

We had a 6am flight out of Madrid to our connecting flight to Frankfurt prior to getting back to the States. It wasn't the easiest to find at the airport, we had to ask for help. Pros: fairly large with plenty of seating, great drinks selection, clean Semi-con: no hot food options for breakfast - only cold cuts, bread, pastries, fruit, yogurt, packaged cold sandwiches. This is typical Spain breakfast food so it is normal but I'm always sad when there isn't any hot foods available.

Cons: We came in around 11am-ish and they had pastries out and cold cuts so they were still in breakfast. I was expecting to see eggs or something but they had no hot food options. I asked one of the staff when they would have hot food and she gave me the most stank look!! and grunted at me, HUHH?? w/the facial expression to match. She was so rude. I asked the question again in Spanish this time, and she rudely snapped at me and said (in Spanish) no hot food until 2PM! and stormed off. I later realized that I misunderstood her or maybe she didn't even know. But anyways, as I was serving myself the cold cuts, I accidentally put the tongs back in the wrong spot. This same rude grunty woman came up next to me, grabbed the tongs and literally SLAMMED them hard onto the tray and walked away. it made such a loud awful sound! As she walked away, I did not hold back and I yelled at her in Spanish, "WOW WHAT A RUDE WOMAN!!!" and other people looked up. She just kept walking. I had another opportunity to tell her again and yeah I did tell her. Not that I was looking for her, but she just happened to be in my path. They didn't do a good job of taking away dirty dishes from the seating areas. There were stacks of cups and plates and bowls, trash, and empty beer and water bottles everywhere. It looked really sloppy like the morning after a party. At about noon, they brought out some hot food items, and more dishes to stack. Dessert items were meh but there was only 2 options, a strawberry cheesecake and another, I can't remember. it wasn't memorable I guess. Wish there'd been more dessert options and hot food options for breakfast.
