Out of the four tours I did during my stay in London this one was by far the best. David was our…read moretour guide and he was excellent. Very professional, provided wonderful information as we drove to each destination and gave helpful information beyond the tour (such as what to do in the city after the tour). I wish I did this tour on my first day. David has been a tour guide for awhile and it shows. If you do the Stonehenge, Bath, Windsor tour I recommend requesting him if possible. Our first stop was great. Although time was tight because of the amount of driving we had to do, we were given a helpful time frame of how much time to spend at the stones themselves and the visitor center. I'd split my time 50/50 between the two because the visitor center has quite a bit to look at. I loved that my group was a fortunate mix of all very considerate people and we got to the landmark early and was able to avoid the crowds. My group was also small, just 15 people so it didn't seem too hectic to corral everyone. Next stop Bath was very nice and enough time to explore and eat a quick lunch. Windsor was a bit of a whirlwind as it's a huge castle ground but grab the audio tour and listen to the intro portions and that will be sufficient to get an idea of the history. We got back ahead of schedule and with plenty of time to look for a dinner spot. Overall a great way to explore the city. I will definitely revisit this tour company if possible.

We had booked in a group so it worked out approximately E1200 for 2 adults and two children. Return flights to and from Malaga, Spain add extra E500. We paid extra for transfers to save delays and queues extra 20 euro per head. Well worth it. The ship was fantastic 14 stories, casinos, bars, cinema, adult only pool, huge communal deck/pool area, 5 jaccuzzis I'll enclose a link so you can check it out. http://bookings.royalcaribbean.co.uk/findacruise/cruiseDetails/itinerary.do?hasSenior=&hasMilitary=&hasFireandPolice=&cruiseType=CO&state=&packageCode=AD07M154&date= We sailed overnight to Valencia, spent several hours taking in the sights kids loved it. Spent the following day sailing to Cittevecia, Italy 100km from Rome. Bartered with a local taxi driver to take 8 adults and two teens and baby and buggy into Rome for the day they started at 400 euro and we bargained a deal for 240euro return. The drivers spoke very little english but he had enough about him to know where we needed to go. He dropped u at the Vatican doors and came back two hours later, then to Spanish steps, Trevi fountain, Colleseum, Venician square, then we arranged to eat at a little family restausrant, then he brought us the the top of Rome to have an overview of the city. absolutely spectacular. and returned us to our ship with an hour to spare. Next day Livorno, we got advice from a local tourist information to get the no.1 bus to the train station (10mins) and then one train stop (20min) to Pisa. Walked for about 2km to the wonderful sight that is Pisa. Kids where tired of sightseeing so we didnt go on to Florence and decided to stay in Livorno and shop in the markets for trinkets. Next day sailed to Ajaccio, Corsica, I took the tour bus (90mins at 10euro), well worth it for the picturesque views while herself and the kids shopped in the beautiful markets and took a few hours on the spotless beaches, and ice blue seas. Ajaccio is beautiful but expensive but there was no cost on transfers or travel as the ship docks in the harbour 15mins walk to the center of the town. Spent the night and following day sailing back to Malaga. The Staff on board are all excellent and well trained in customer service, no request goes unanswered and if it can be done it will be done (sometimes at your expense) The food is constant and the variety is overwhelming at times. The drink is purchased via and onboard credit system which you can monitor on your tv each night to keep track of your spend. The entertainment is not always free but take advantage of what is free. 2 nights of the seven night cruise are formal dress so be prepared. I will definitely be going on a cruise again and it was a fantastic experience. I cannot rate it five stars because of the hidden extras like casino, excursions and so forth but it has prepared me well for the next cruise I take which wont be too long now........and definitely with Royal Caribbean. Big shout out to Rachel in entertainment, Bruce our Cabin man, and Lisa at reception all added to making our holiday a very memorable one. http://www.royalcaribbean.co.uk/our-ships/voyager-class/adventure-of-the-seas/#tab-16-4612

I have a love/hate relationship with Travelzoo. They're basically like a Groupon, but only for…read moretravel. I travel a lot and always love a good deal when I can get it, but be cautious with any deals you find here and do your research. The good: I've gotten some great deals from them, like hotel specials, discounted concert tickets, and tours. The bad: They have posted deals for vendors that turned out to be an outright scam (see my review for UTO Vacations), and took no responsibility/offered no compensation for being the one who posted those scam tour deals. They also have started charging to view the deals ($40 a year beginning in 2025), so the value has lessened a bit with that also. So I would just say, any deal you see on Travelzoo, research the vendor yourself before you book anything - and consider if a membership for $40 is worth the savings that Travelzoo offers.

Deutsche Bahn UK…read more Note! Call centre 08718 80 80 66 (8p per min.) sales@bahn.co.uk http://www.bahn.de/db_uk/view/index.shtml Have you ever thought about going to Germany? Wonderful Berlin, Hamburg (home of Qype and Xing), the pretty Rhineland, boisterous Bavaria, the magical Black Forest I have and it's quite a spiffing place. I lived there for over 12 years in fact. The natives are quite affable and jolly, many speak passable English, the food is good, many of the wines are severely potable and the cost and quality of life are really rather acceptable. The lavatories are generally very clean, they build good cars and have been very successful in exporting royal families throughout Europe. You can get away with eccentric behaviour as long as you remember not to mention the war, (as I was reminded by an eminent German Qype professor last week). I rather fancy that few people here in fact realise that the Germans are actually quite fond of us and I can certainly testify that their sense of humour is the closest you can get to ours, even although they are foreigners. On a more serious note, German culture over the ages is something that you can spend a long time studying. Land of thinkers, poets, musicians and efficient machine builders. The public transport system there is 'somewhat' better than here, ranging from a serious network of amazing high-speed trains to environmentally-friendly trams in most cities. Their various packages can cover anything from the whole country to a region or locality and often if not always include tram/bus tickets. The prices are staggeringly good value. After St. Pancras had opened its portals last year I happened to be lurking in the Black Forest. One day in Freiburg, I nipped into the main station to go to the Deutsche Bahn information centre, where they are always very friendly and go to great trouble, insisting on digging out the best deal for you from their computer. I asked for a 'quote' to St. Pancras. The guy needed to know when I intended to travel so I came clean and explained that I was just being nosey. How about a price for tomorrow? He typed, muttered, clicked and moused about and eventually came up with a price which was pretty good. He pointed that if you are over 60, you travel for half price on Eurostar. Fascinated, I bore it all in mind and buggered off home by air via Switzerland as planned. So: recently I was intending to find out doing this the other way round and going from here. I needed a Eurostar ticket to Brussels, from where I wanted to go on the German ICE high speeder through to Duesseldorf and on further south. I called Eurostar who explained that this was not really on, but they could book me through to either Cologne or Aachen via Brussels (which was not what I wanted). However, they told me to contact another company called Eurotravel or similar, who could book me through to anywhere I bloody well felt like. Fine, I called these guys who explained that they could do anything I wanted. Except book me on Eurostar. For that, I must contact Eurostar. Bugger and damnation! Since the Deutsche Bahn in Deutschland had told me they could me get me from Germany in one fell swoop, I wondered whether they could get me to Germany as well. In a moment of inspiration, I Googled Deutsche Bahn UK and CRUNCH! Calling the number, I asked whether they could book me from London right through to wherever I wanted to sodding well go in Germany and they said Yes sir, of course! They searched for deals and came up with a package which took me from St. Pancras, delivering me in a relaxed mood at Duesseldorf at 15:00 the same day. 52 Euros, including 1st class travel on the amazing ICE trains from Brussels to Duesseldorf.
