They were sad to say goodbye to everybody today but they are also thankful for everything they learned in a year. Their favorite teacher is Aunty Liz, she is really good at what she does and my kids definitely learned a lot from her and from the other teachers as well. They surely will miss their Preschool, the Little Explorers. Would recommend this school to all the parents.

Jody is really really nice and she is doing great things for them as the director. They even get to do excursions to the Wailuku hongwanji next door for services.

They sing and teach the kids so much in such a short time frame. It is such a blessing for my child to take part in this well organized and educational program for free. She is learning to interact with others, developing cognitive and her motor skills. We hope this program continues for years so that many other children may experience the educational support and love from Tutu and Me.

We were so happy when we heard that Keiki O Ka Aina was expanding to Maui in 2019 and we signed our…read moreson up for the first classes. They have several different programs and we enrolled in their Parent Participation Program (PPP) which meets twice a week from 9:00AM to 11:30AM. The PPP is a great program and since it's called 'Parent Participation Program' you need to be there as well. Parents (Makua) can be either the mother or father or grandparents. Basically the PPP gets the keiki and the make ready for school so a lot of the kids are very small ranging from 1 years old to 4 years old. Hawaiian values such as Aloha (love), Mālama (Care), Kuleana (Responsibility) and Laulima (Many Hands) are some of the daily values practiced in class. Kids will sing mele, they do art, and play outside. Keiki O Ka Aina also has other programs such as HIPPY where they send a teacher to your home for an hour a day once a week and that program is useful for kids who cannot get to the Boys & Girls Club in Kahului where classes are located. The kumus in Kahului are Auntie Sherrie and Aunty Kanoe and they are exceptional!

We love the art projects that they do with the keikis and their holiday performances inside the church. The only downside to this preschool is that the kids get really dirty since the play area is mostly sand and after it rains, the kids can get bad mosquito bites if they are prone to getting bit.

Mikaela has always been a shy girl, she never talks to anyone or sings on the stage. She's a total opposite to her twin sister who's more outgoing and and talkative. The teachers of Christ the king helped Kaela open up to her friends and to others. One of the things that touched my heart was when they created an animal clinic inspired by Kaela since she wants to be a veterinarian one day. They sincerely care and love each and every children in their classes. They know they're preferences and the children love them like their own Aunties. These teachers pour out their heart and soul to teach them and prepare them for the future. I love and appreciate you all and I am so sad that I won't see you guys next year and but we will bring the kids to visit!! I recommend CHRIST THE KING PRESCHOOL!
