I did a quick yelp search and this was one of the closest accountants. Now having been brought up in a household where our land line was also the business line I have always had a polite phone manner even when phoning someone, upon dialling this number I was greeted with nothing but a curt hello, no introduction or greeting to let me know that I was phoning the right place. This automatically put me on the back foot. After a rushed explanation of my needs I was treated to a questioning about where I had got this number and a short and abrupt explanation of why she wouldn't be taking on new clients at the moment (end of the tax year, which is fair enough) had she not been in such a rush to hang up she would have found out that I could have waited until after the 31st for my letter but as it stands I won't be using their service at all. I only give them one star as it's impossible to give them none and submit a review

This bank is not that great. Its not awful, but it certainly is lacking in certain areas. You may think I am being harsh, but I have over heard other customers complaining too. My worst experience was being told that the bank's mistake was my own, then being treated dismissively by members of staff until I demanded to speak to whoever was in charge who proceeded to be borderline abusive to me. You will be happy to know I then said the magic words: customer service and everything was rectified (by, to be honest, the nice girl in the customer service call centre!). Anyway I wouldn't recommed this branch to anyone, but I have nothing against the bank as a whole, because whenever the branch is not involved the account has run like clockwork! And to be fair, some of the other girls who work here are very pleasant. So: don't boycott Clydesdale, boycott this branch!

I wandered into this (very warm it has to be said) bank one late afternoon, with a vague idea of picking up some information about bank accounts. I'd gone into the nameless bank a few doors up just before this - wanting to talk to someone about opening an account - and has left sorely disappointed with the service I received. This was not the case in this Santander branch, though. Within about three minutes of walking in the door I was sat down in a booth with a knowledgeable lady offering me chocolates. She answered all my questions and filled in an application form for me all in about twenty minutes. Perfect.
