During the visit, the staff repeatedly pushed for add‑on services that weren't covered by my insurance, so I had to question and approve every single thing to make sure it was covered. The doctor also mentioned that my child would need braces and said he would follow up with cost information, but we never received anything. Now, trying to get someone to answer the phone or return a call about this bill has been impossible. Overall, this has not been the most transparent or trustworthy experience.

Our pediatrician office uses Summerlin Pediatric Dentistry and I had a really great first impression upon calling and speaking to staff. She explained and taught me so much over the phone since I had questions such as cost, recovery ect. Fast forward to day of appt. Didn't know the office is on the 6th floor and only a certain set of elevators go to this floor in the building! I think when patients are making a NP appt, a heads up about this is necessary. It took over 10 mins for the elevator to arrive and get on. I also went to a different set the first time and ended up being a bit late. Dentist was nice although interaction was short, but informative and thorough.

A big part of that is the amazing waiting area, they have a game room and incredible Lego sets on display that the kids can actually interact with by pushing a button to make them run. The other part is the positive reinforcement: at the end of every visit, the kids get to pick a toy as a reward, which has been working really well for my boys. As a parent, I deeply appreciate the consistent dental education Dr. Levi provides to us and my boys so they know exactly what candy can do to harm their teeth. He uses great visuals like the "Sugar causes cavities" picture I've attached, alongside the clear self management goal sheets to avoid candy and gummy vitamins. They even make dental hygiene fun with clever decor around the office, like the "May the floss be with you", which is pretty cool for Star Wars fans! In fact, my oldest one just finished his cavities filling and sealant procedure with Dr. Levi. Even with the dental education, he still couldn't stop eating candies given out at school (candies are great reinforcers for him, though!). The procedure was completely smooth. Dr. Levi and the team took great care of him, kept making sure he was okay during the whole process, and gave him constant positive praise. He got to pick his toy reward and they even offered him a wheelchair to get to the car, such a huge help for parents! Last, Dr.Levi will personally gave a call to me to follow up to see if my boy is okay post procedure, that's such a great care. I also have to mention their fantastic appointment reminder system. I get multiple message reminders for our appointments, which is a lifesaver for me. I will keep bringing my boys to see Dr. Levi as long as we live around this neighborhood. I highly recommend Dr. Levi and Sorenson Pediatric Dentistry to every family, especially families with special needs kids!

The dental assistant and Dr. Sorenson were absolutely amazing with both kids. They were patient, gentle, and made them feel so comfortable the entire time. You could tell they truly know how to work with little ones. Even when I made the initial appointment, the front desk staff was incredibly kind and patient and took the time to answer all of our questions, which really helped ease our nerves. We highly recommend bringing your kids here. We are so thankful we found a dentist they feel safe and happy going to. Unfortunately, the front office/financial communication has been so unprofessional and mishandled that I can no longer continue care here. In November, we came in for my son's cleaning. I provided the updated insurance card and specifically asked the front desk if the visit was covered. I was told yes. Once we were taken back, sealants were recommended. Again, I specifically asked if they were covered by insurance, and again I was told yes. At the next checkup, I was told the office still had not received a response from insurance regarding the November visit. Since it was still unclear, I asked what the cash-pay option would be for my son's cleaning. I was told it would be $246. I agreed to pay that amount so my son could be seen, although I expressed disappointment about the lack of communication. At that time, the staff member apologized and acknowledged the poor communication. Today, I showed up prepared to pay the $246 I was quoted, only to be told there was an outstanding balance from November of over $500 that had to be paid before my son could be seen. This was never clearly communicated to me. Had I been told that in advance, I would not have taken time out of my day to bring my son in under the impression that we were paying the cash-pay cleaning fee. Instead of taking accountability, the front desk staff had an attitude and tried to shift responsibility to the insurance verifier. This is not a small miscommunication. This is now multiple failures to clearly explain insurance, benefits, balances, and what would be required at the appointment. To make matters worse, I was originally told services were covered, then later told insurance was still being verified, then quoted a cash-pay amount, and then turned away in office unless I paid a balance I was not properly informed about. That feels like a bait-and-switch. This office also previously sold me a $500 mouthguard appliance for my son's grinding, despite knowing he has asthma and already struggles with breathing. His pediatrician later strongly advised against him wearing it at night due to safety concerns. To their credit, the office refunded me once they were made aware of the issue, and I let it go because we liked Dr. Thompson. But combined with this latest situation, I can no longer ignore the pattern. There are many children's dental offices in Las Vegas, and families deserve clear, honest communication before services are performed and before they arrive for appointments. The dentist may be great, but the front office and financial communication here are unacceptable. Whatever response the office gives to justify this does not change the fact that I repeatedly asked about coverage, was repeatedly given incorrect or incomplete information, and my son was ultimately refused care after I arrived prepared to pay the amount they quoted me. I would not recommend this office unless they make major changes to how they communicate insurance, balances, and treatment costs with parents.

It's generally recommended to get a cleaning/check up every 6 months. I like to go every 4 months based on past dentist's recommendations. However, as an existing patient, the next appt they had available was 8 1/2 months out. Stop accepting new patients if you can not handle the ones that you already have. It's a slap in the face. It's also a zoo when you go in there. It's very hectic and I've never seen the same hygienist more than once. They also have an annoying habit of pestering you. For example, I had a 1pm appt. I was parking the car and at 1:01pm I get a call asking if I'm still coming. However, on multiple visits I've waited in the lobby 15 minutes past the appointment time to be taken in. So they are fine with making you wait but 1 minute late on your part and it's an issue.
