The facilities were very clean and quiet. Almost too quiet--at first I thought it was just Cassandra and me there. I was actually relieved when she asked if I wanted a male or female massage therapist bc that meant there were at least 2 other people there. It was getting dark and I prefer to go to massages during the day, but I couldn't get to it until the evening and it's nice to be relaxed and go to bed soon afterwards. Since I was new, she threw in the 20 minute pre-massage at a deep discount. I will say, I wouldn't have paid for it at it's listed price. Personally, I think both the massage therapist AND the client benefit from this because it's a great machine--it definitely loosens you up so the massage therapist can be more effective and not get tired out. But for any machine, I feel like it should be less than $1/minute, and that's if you're buying as a standalone service. I'd say if it's an add-on, it shouldn't be more than $10, personally. I also sometimes worry about going later in the day bc I know therapists get tired after working on people all day and I like the pressure firm. I had Kenichi (I think? It was some name that sounded Japanese) and let me tell you--I DID NOT have to worry about that! She was strong as a horse and it was like 7.30pm! The massage was great, but the pricing is too high, even with all the 'discounts.' But they do have another location, I guess, and that is supposed to be a more reasonable $60/hr. I'll have to try there. Also, don't like that she offered a discount if I showed her a Yelp review. I'm writing this but I won't be showing it to her...haven't decided yet if I'll return. read more
