Dr. Nick McClimon is instinctively in tune with his patients and always takes the time to explain what's going on, walk through treatment options, and give honest recommendations--with the pet's best interest front and center. His staff is equally impressive: kind, efficient, and highly competent, treating every animal like their own. Last year Dr. Noor Faisal joined the practice, and she's absolutely wonderful--knowledgeable, compassionate, and gentle with both animals and humans. Pricing is fair and transparent--no upselling, ever. I've lost two senior dogs in the last five years. I feel like I was rushed to leave. My dog has trouble breathing. I was told they needed x-rays,…read moreetc. and needed anesthesia. I gave the go ahead and the promised to brief me at work, but they never called, when I called at 3 to find out the diagnosis, they said the vet has been trying to call you. My cell never beeped. And my cell was what I left for them to use. I feel the vet was stand-off-ish and not very friendly. My dog had an exam and that's it. No procedures as I was first told. I have always liked HACH, but my baby comes first.

The vets I've used in this area are horrible and this is the worst. They have blown me off several…read moretimes about concerns I have for my pets. I have caught the vets and staff lying to me about tests and examinations. One of my dogs has lumps developing all over her and I actually had to addimently insist that they test them to make sure they weren't tumors. The vets told me they couldn't get anything out of them, but they aren't cancerous. How can they determine they're not cancer if they had nothing to test?!? I also asked them to retest one of my cats for roundworm, an ongoing problem in my yard, and one of the staff claimed he was clear, then another staff member told me he wasn't retested when I inquired about the charge not being on the bill. Another one of my cats had a lumps at the end of her tail, which the vets said was scar tissue, even though I told them her tail hadn't been injured and they dismissed, but it ended up bursting not long afterwards. I could go on, but you get the point, I'm sure. This clinic was recommended to me after a vet in Kilgore killed one of my dogs and one in Carthage killed another due to total incompetence. These people are even more so and constantly dismiss information I give them, like I don't know about my own pets! They are much more expensive than others and you're supposed to get what you pay for, but unfortunately that's not the case here. Sadly, I'm continuing my search for the least bad option.

My family has kept our dogs here several times (we have 3) and the last time they were there for almost a week. I went to pick them up for my parents, not knowing how many total nights they had been there or to double-check the cost. We were overcharged quite a bit (we picked up the dogs earlier than originally scheduled and were charged for the full length of time). When my mother called to talk to the owner about it, he made rude comments about me and questioned my intelligence, and proceeded to cancel all our future reservations. My family has spent a lot of money at this business and we are appalled. This may be one of the only kennels Longview has to offer, but in my opinion you are much better off leaving your pups with some of the vets in town. Unbelievably rude, and we were overcharged.
