They had been recommended through our main contract with Kitchen and Bath (kiba) Studios of Clifton Park. I'm reviewing Dream Builders & Remodeling separately because of how pleased we are with the outstanding work they performed. Owner John and his assistant demonstrated exceptional skills whether working with tiling, plumbing, or woodworking. Because we needed extensive electrical work to be done John arranged for a subcontractor to do that work. John made some suggestions early on in our project that not only addressed the aesthetics of a room but also improved its functioning. He and his assistant always arrived to work at the scheduled time and put in a full day's work. They made every effort to protect the areas they needed to pass through by using floor and stair coverings. They were very pleasant and courteous individuals who respected our home and did not blast radios or swear while working. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that during a period of downtime while we waited for a cabinet to replace one that had arrived damaged, we entered a direct contract with John to upgrade the trim around the windows of three bedrooms and to paint the walls and ceilings of those bedrooms. There is no doubt that we will be contacting John at Dream Builders & Remodeling again when we identify another project to be undertaken.

He showed up one Saturday morning to complete the job. At 12:00 pm, he walked out of my home and said that he would be back in a little bit. He never came back, left one of my walls-a wall he fixed and painted a couple weeks earlier-cracked and damaged. He is a liar and will quit on you after damaging your things. I reached out to him, requesting that he comes back to at least fix what he ruined and all would be forgiven. He hasn't gotten back to me. We had our modular home built by Westchester Modular and then Saratoga Modular Homes, LLC, finished…read morethe home after it was delivered and set on the foundation. Saratoga Modular acted as our general contractor. We lived on Long Island while the home was being built and was commuting back and forth about every week or two. The home was finished in May of 2014. From Day 1 our master shower leaked into the basement. We brought it to Cecil Provost's attention multiple times over the course of 7 years. Cecil is the owner of Saratoga Modular Homes, LLC. He kept saying it was "bad" grout. He wanted to seal it with caulking. Not on my brand-new tile shower! Seven years later Cecil had his worker rip out the complete shower and re-build it. THE PAN WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY! Westchester Modular was responsible for the subflooring in the entire home. The wood floors on the first floor began to squeak after about 4-5 years. Westchester Modular was called in to make repairs. They came and added 2 columns and sistered some of the beams in the area of the squeaking. It did not solve the problem, and the squeaking has spread to the whole first floor. As I am writing this, we have a company in our basement sistering the beams to hopefully correct some of the squeaking. This is a major expense as well as a major inconvenience. All of the insulation has to be taken down as well as the in-floor heating elements and re-installed after the work is done. Our outdoor lighting fixtures by our garage were hung on the siding, not into the house itself. They were actually drooping. Good thing my husband was able to redo several of their mistakes. We have had to hire outside companies for the jobs my husband could not tackle. These are just 3 of the major headaches we have had to deal with. Cecil has reached out to me and promised that he is more than willing to work with us on any issues we still have. I am also willing to work with him as well. Don't get me wrong...we love our home and always get complimented on our house on the hill. All our problems are in the past and we are happy to be living in the North Country.
