Its the perfect destination for a special event, a lazy day of window-shopping, or choosing a unique gift. Expect warm and friendly service, great advice about fashion and the products and a lot of fun. All the staff are delightful and very indulgent when it comes to numerous customers trying on different hats, and staring at the jewellery collection. My love affair with Scally and Trombone first started back in year 11. I was buying jewellery for my formal and my mother and I stumbled across this little gem. We walked out with a bold silver collar and simple drop earrings, after having spent hours agonizing over our choices. Throughout the painful process the sales assistants were wonderful, offering great advice in regards to different pieces, as well as colour combinations to match my dress. Since then I always swing past if I'm on Brunswick Street. Their large range of elegant hats, fun jewellery designs and pleasant service make it a winner.

The girls in here are lovely and seem to genuinely enjoy discussing the wares and helping you find the perfect earrings for your new dress or whatever it is your heart desires.

The Brotherhood of St Laurence store in Brunswick East is an absolute gem of a place when moving…read morehouse or needing some replacement furniture. There you'll find an array of cheap second-hand sofas, chairs, desks, tables, fridges, microwaves, pieces of artwork and much more. If you don't have a car, they can even arrange delivery of your stuff if you live in the area. I found some amazing bar stools for $15 each, a lazyboy style chair for $25 and some cheap sofas at around $30 each. In short: it is an absolute treasure chest and you can also feel good about contributing to a well recognised charity that is working for an Australia that is free from poverty. Good luck exploring!

This is possibly my single favourite op shop in Melbourne…read more The clothes are very well laid-out by style and colour (e.g. All white t-shirts are together) although my OCD takes over occasionally and I find myself putting stuff elsewhere if I see it incorrectly stashed. The funky music always makes me smile, and there is a vintage section at the front where they have special items. They have a ton of adult clothing, some kids' stuff, books, a load of kitchenware, lots of furniture and jewellery. They are even open now on Sundays so I don't have to cram my weekend op shop fix into Saturday! The only thing I could think of to improve is to offer a few more hooks in the change rooms.

The stock itself looks cheap and is more expensive then it should be. Considering that the quality doesn't appear too good. perhaps this is the place to go for a "wear once" item? There is a wide range of women's fashion, jewelery, bags and shoes. The mantra appears to be the more sparkly the better. I love a bit of bling but evidently too much poor quality sparkle is not a good thing. The loud techno-Christmas music in October completed my idea of shopping hell. Unfortunately this place was not my cup of tea, I wish I could award it two stars but I would feel bad for misleading you.

I had a terrible experience buying some of the items at the OBUS store. The staff were not nice to…read moreme and they refused me to refund the faulty product that I was speechless. The item price was over pricy ( I know that they make in Australia but some of the import from china) and quality was not good as some of have faulty. Items were not various to exchange as well. I would not visit the store anymore and not recommend anyone.
