I Do Bridal was our first and last stop (4 stores total). Sarah helped my daughter with her first appointment/go-round. We absolutely loved her personality, intuition, style suggestions and PATIENCE; we tried on a lot, because she didn't have a clue as to what she wanted. We loved a ballgown style dress, "even cried", but my daughter was determined to stick to "her plan"; visiting four stores and seeing all options. Sarah warned us to not try on too many dresses, because we would get overwhelmed and confused, was she ever right!!! The next day, after the last store, we called I Do Bridal, late in the afternoon; it was a Saturday in January, the busiest time of the year to shop for bridal gowns. I Do Bridal fit us in for the last appointment of the day! When we arrived the place was packed, but they greeted us like old friends. We were so relieved to see Sarah! She AGAIN, worked patiently with my daughter, never making us feel rushed or that we were a burden and we found the perfect dress! This was the first store I visited to look for my wedding dress, and I left feeling overwhelmed and very disheartened. I'm absolutely heartbroken that my first time shopping for a wedding dress, an experience I'll never have again, was ruined by staff that was pushy, rushed me, didn't listen to what I wanted, and overwhelmed me to the point that I broke down in tears. My taste doesn't exactly mesh with the traditional "Southern standards", so I knew going into my appointment I might not find exactly what I was looking for. Nevertheless, I went in today and was shown dress after dress that didn't align with what I was asking for. I said I wanted a clean dress: no beading, no lace, no sparkles. The staff continued to bring me dresses that weren't what I was asking for, rather than trying to find dresses in their stock that aligned with my preferences. There is a balance between expecting me to advocate for myself and say what I want, vs. continually putting me in situations where I have to say no because you're completely disregarding what I have to say. I was shown a dress that was not even close to anything I was asking for (a beige lace dress with a PURPLE bra and long sleeves, after I said I wanted a white dress with no lace and off the shoulder sleeves), and after saying I didn't like it, my consultant told me we would just try it on anyways to see what I thought because it was on sale. She even acknowledged in the fitting room that she knew I didn't like it, but made me try it on anyway. Surprise- It was the ugliest dress I have ever put on. The owner came in several times, practically yelling and asking me if I had found something I loved. There was one dress I tried on where I had about ten seconds to look at it in the mirror before she came in, heard me say I liked it, and yelled "BUT DO YOU LOVE IT??". I felt like I wasn't allowed to take a second to form an opinion. I had to be obsessed with something in a literal instant, or my consultant would try to get me into another gown as fast as possible. I understand that some people may see a dress and immediately know, but I am not like that. I need a moment to look at all of the details and decide what I think. I am sorry to the staff that I couldn't come up with opinions fast enough for them. I left my appointment early after the third or fourth time in a row I was brought a dress with lace, sparkles, and beading; all things I repeatedly said I DID NOT WANT, yet again feeling like my preferences were being completely ignored. I can't believe that this was my first experience shopping for a wedding dress, and I am devastated that it went the way it did. Truly something I will remember for the rest of my life. read more

I purchased my wedding dress from this buisness as well as my husbands tux and the groomsmen tuxes for my wedding. When searching for my wedding dress everything went smoothly and was great! When it came time for the tuxes, 4/9 tuxes did not fit, 1 of them being the grooms tuxes. (no big deal, this happens) After getting resized and a new tux came in we picked it up, but the color of the tie was gold and the intended color was supposed to be silver. At this time the wedding was the next day and there was no time to order a new tie. (Pick up of the tux was the week prior to the wedding but after having to get resized it came back in a day before the wedding) I was very displeased that we spent thousands of dollars at this business between my wedding dress & 9 tuxes that the tie color for the groom was incorrect. My wedding colors were navy blue and silver, gold did not correlate. At this time the staff advised since the wedding was the next day there was nothing they could do. So the groom wore a gold tie that did not match the wedding party. Overall, I would recommend this business for wedding dresses, but you may be better off going to a different buisness for tuxes. read more

They charge you $150 for a bottle of Costco champagne and 6 tiny donuts. No pictures are allowed. They pick out the dresses for you to try on. The A/C doesn't work. Then they try to force you into a dress that you really don't care for. read more

I love love love my dress.... I had lost weight so it needed altered a bit and there was a hiccup trying to get it correct but the seamstress and Mrs Bonnie (the owner) stepped in quickly and found a resolution and completely saved me from my probably unnecessary freak out moment! Lol! Honestly if you want a dress that is unique and beautiful and one that you probably will never see on another bride THIS is the place to go! I would not recommend this place, they have sneaky ways of getting money out you. My daughter had an appointment for a fitting which was not in the time frame of a 'rush fee'. 'They' called and cancelled to reschedule which did put her in the rush fee bracket, and did not say it would be. When I called to question it, Bonnie came on the phone and was VERY rude. Not very professional whatsoever! Very dissatisfied with the experience, which should have been a pleasurable one! read more

Special thanks to Liz and I Do Bridal and Formal for helping me find the wedding dress of my dreams! Even though I had a pretty good idea of what I was looking for, I was open to trying on different options and Liz was great about helping me find a variety of beautiful gowns to try on. The whole experience provided by a bridal appointment at I Do makes you feel like a princess! With your appointment, you're provided a private room with a large dressing room, and plenty of chairs and couch space should you choose to bring family or bridesmaids. After saying "Yes to the Dress" the tears and wine started flowing (pro tip: they only serve white wine, for the most obvious reason). After our mini celebration, we finished up with final measurements and the dress was ordered. Liz made the entire process stress-free and so much fun. My sister-in-law came from the fashion Mecca, Montreal, to buy her mother of the bride gown here in little Mobile. She found the perfect dress at I Do. The owner and her daughter and staff could not have been nicer or more accommodating. My husband and brother-in-law were part of this shopping trip and my husband tells everyone how wonderful the experience was. When my sister-in-law got back to Montreal, she went to her tailor to do some shortening etc. She had purchased this ribbon with "shiny stuff" on it at I Do at their suggestion, to add to the neckline. The tailor in Montreal said the quality of the gown and that ribbon were superior. My niece got married at Lake Las Vegas and my sister-in-law looked stunning in her Mobile dress! Everyone commented on it and we were so pleased that Mobile and I Do were the wonderful answer to that gown search! read more

I want to think the best of this place but I'm not so sure. I bought my dress here in January and they were so nice. I just came to look and would make an appointment later if I liked their selection, but they were able to fit me in and to my surprise I found the dress I loved and ended up buying it. It was being sold off the rack as is and it had been discontinued. It was a size 12 and I'm a size 4 so it was huge on me. I was really nervous about that and asked several times but they reassured me it would not be an issue and they could fix it for $350-400. My mom and I decided to look at a few alteration places to compare prices. I didn't find anything better and called to make an appointment. This was only 1 MONTH after I bought my dress.. and they even told me in January I had plenty of time to call back.. well apparently now they don't do big alterations anymore. At first I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. you never know maybe their seamstress quit or they got really busy. Well they have done this to SEVERAL brides. Many brides have gotten a dress from here and called back less than a month later to schedule an alterations appointment only to find out they don't do that anymore even though they JUST said they did. I was skeptical to buy a size 12 dress but I did cause I loved it and they reassured me they could fix it. Then they dropped the ball on me... They probably just wanted to get it off the rack.. I'm not sure what their motives were; maybe I'm reading too much into it. But now alterations anywhere else are MUCH more expensive than I Do told me they'd do it for. But I'm stuck with it. It's really not cool to take advantage of someone when they're planning for the biggest day of their life. read more

A friend wanted to go to bridal shop to try on some wedding dresses. This shop only take appointments. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. They were willingly to take us in and helped us even though we didn't have an appointment with them. Staff were knowledgeable about their dresses. She was able to narrow down to the most beautiful dress that fit to the body type. There were no pressure in purchasing the dress. read more

First off the ladies are sweet and it was easy to book an appointment to try on dresses. When getting there we were able to look through the dresses and picked out a lot to try on. The dress I ended up going with was beautiful and the accessories too. We put in our order with measurements to only find out days later that the designer discontinued my dress, so it was either buy the sample or try on more dresses, here's where my issues stared arising. The dress was in good condition so we decided to buy it out right, they only took off about 200 bucks for a dress they sold me that was no longer being made and sure they would have put on the sale racks to sale for way less. But seeing how I loved the dress, I feel like they took advantage of the situation to still get more money out of a dress they were just going to put on sale if I didn't get. We also got my brides maids and flower girl dresses from here, which they did offer a discount since I did a one stop shop. They ended up losing half my girls measurements and my dresses came In a lot later than expected. Was told if all the girls ordered before April they'd be in June which they didn't come till last week of July. Which was pushing it for alteration for my girls for my early September wedding. All in all they have a good selection and the girls are nice, but they are very disorganized and seem to take advantage of getting more money in situations like mine. read more

My daughter made an appointment and we were met at the door and were placed in a nice room and then in just a few minutes the nice young lady came in to help us. ( I hate I cannot remember her name but she's moving to Michigan soon and that's what I remember ) she was so sweet but I was emotional that day as my daughter was in search of her Wedding dress so many details were lost for me. Lol. My daughter tried on about 8 dresses but her initial choice she tried on 3 times as she kept going back to this dress and all the ladies in the store were so sweet to come look and tell her how beautiful she was and she was and will be a gorgeous bride. So we await the arrival of her dress and will be heading there in a few weeks to get the bridesmaid dresses ordered. So, I wish I would have seen the other review that this shop only takes reservations before I went by. I came by with a friend to just look at, not try on, the inventory that this store had to offer. The hostess and the manager were chatting about whether or not they'd let us walk around before they finally, and begrudgingly, did. I walked through the store with the hostess standing about three feet away from me, as if I would at any point spill something on these dresses. It's just not necessary to treat this like it's a bigger deal than it is, but I felt disrespected by the staff so I wanted somewhere to post about this bad experience. read more

BE WARNED!!! Even if a dress that you purchase from them is flawed from the maker (Sherri Hill), they WILL NOT help you. Even if all you want is the same exact dress, only one that is not flawed, they will blame the maker for not being able to help you. It was a very pleasant experience until we had huge issues with the hem puckering extremely bad, the entire dress twisting every time my daughter took a step, and finally a hole in the seam right below the zipper. When I called Sherri Hill, they told me that they never deal with the public, that I purchased the dress from "I Do" Bridals and that is who should be offering me a replacement dress. Of course, "I Do" Bridals blames it on Sherri Hill. For the first time ever, after having 2 daughters who've needed special occasion dresses many times before, I feel like I've gotten screwed and it actually sucks pretty bad. I fully understand the return policy at these stores but when a dress is badly flawed, they should help the customer. Bad, bad business! Final WARNING: make sure you try on the exact dress that you will be wearing in the store!!! Walk around, sit, try on with your shoes, dance, etc, because I can promise you, the second you walk out that door, that dress is yours and they don't care what happens to you or the dress! read more
