Have generally had a great experience with I.C.E Heating & Cooling with an annual service agreement in place for them to service my property. However, I noticed that they missed a tune-up as a part of the agreement so I called to check and the receptionist, Kristen, nonchalantly said that it was up to the customer to remember and schedule the tune-up which was not true. When I told them that that wasn't the case and I am looking at the texts from them scheduling out prior tune-ups they doubled down on what other customers do. When I told them I would like them to come out for the missed tune up I paid for they instantly said they would have to review with their manager as its so far out again in a non-chalant tone. When I said please do and let me have their name as they weren't being helpful, they pushed back inquiring how they weren't and then provided their name, Kristen, and said the line is being recorded real smugly then proceeded to pass me to their manager, Doug's, voicemail. When I tried to call back, no answer and was passed to Doug's voicemail. Terrible customer service. Would caution read more

Technician came our for routine maintenance after for final visit before contract expired and our HVAC unit (on a year old house) started having issues with fan starting and then stopping immediately after. Had another 3rd party HVAC technician come troubleshoot the problem and way too much coolant had been added. Would not recommend. read more

By far, one of the worst companies on the planet!! Brett Miller has no idea what customer service means!! My wife and I had I.C.E. replace our total HVAC system. Over $11,000 to do this work and we've had problems from day one!! From flooded basements to no AC on some of the hottest days of the year. In the first 3 years of having this system, we got 18 service tickets, and that doesn't include the regular service. Everything but the kitchen sink has been replaced and it still doesn't work properly. I've tried working with them to avail. I even filed a complaint with the BBB!! Good luck to anyone who chooses to use these idiots!! And the picture on here, this is the second humidifier that has NEVER worked!! read more

Probably the worst heating and cooling company in Fredericksburg! My house is 3 years old, the upstairs has never cooled or heated very well. Was having electrical work done and the electrician when in the attic said the tubing was not hooked up for the AC so where cooling the attic and hot attic air is getting sucked into the bedrooms. I.C.E. installed the system so I called them to get them to come fix it as obviously was not installed properly. Speak with a manager who says they will not cover the costs as it fell down with age and I haven't had the system serviced. The home is THREE years old, my parents home is 25 years old and theirs has never fallen down. The unit works, it does blow could air and hot air, for that matter, I don't think service would include them going into the attic to makes sure the thing is still attached as it should just stay attached. They refused to work with us and repeated that it fell down with age. When getting it fixed it was found that the support straps with secured with screws and not staples causing the material to rip and it to fall down. This company has poor costumer service and will not fix their mistakes, rather get defensive over their poor craftsmanship. I am not alone in this as I have a neighbor who was having a similar problem with theirs, where the house was not cooling they had someone come out and were told a part was installed wrong and wasn't really holding in place, just fall off when he touched it. I'm distressed to hear some of the one and two star stories. I see they are recent posts. I was a customer from 2014-2016. Used their maintenance plan and spent almost $2000 over that period. Some people may think that's too much to spend over two years but my A/C VAC was 25 years old! Of course I kept up my end by nurturing/cleaning our unit as much as I could. I loved the techs that did the semi annual checks. They remarked at how clean the system was. We did some minor replacements on parts but again at that age more things could go wrong. The office people were always superb and professional. We sold our beautiful home in the summer of '16 with that 25 year old system doing its job well. I know without ICE's partnership, I couldn't have done that well. read more

My builder used I.C.E to install our heating and air. I'm sure they got the lowest big considering we are about 45 minutes from them. Before we moved in the thermostat wouldn't satisfy the temperature. It's always hot!! I've done everything they have asked. I changed filters, use a dehumidifier, nothing works. They have always accepted my calls and responded to emails only to not fix the problem. I've been able even briefly email with one of the owners at I.C.E....NOTHING!! The conversation stopped. I've spoken with the county inspectors as well as other professionals in this field. I offered to pay the difference to have a larger unit installed. I didn't expect them to agree to that because that would indicate that something is actually wrong. I found Doug to be rude and have a horrible attitude. Mike is helpful but didn't solve my issue. The work in the basement is sloppy and his workers that came back to try and fix it agreed. For the most part, they are nice people but the quality of work and not being comfortable in my home is definitely a problem. If you want a unit that works properly, I suggest looking else where. If a company can not provide a reason that the thermostat has to be set at 70 all the time without being cool, that is a problem within itself. read more

People are friendly to talk to and seem to want to do a good job. I had them work on my rental home, so I was not able to be as present as I would like. They called and asked for payment before the job was completed. That was several weeks ago and they still have not removed their trash from my house. They have been payed, but I still have a pile of trash and a lot of cleanup left to do. Highly disappointed. read more

Had my unit installed a month and a half ago. Installers were great and just needed correct paperwork and one small thing finished. Next 2 appointments the sales guy never shows up. No call or text saying anything but sorry we forgot. Today I have the service manager coming out and guess what. 30 minutes late when I called and I get told that he is just leaving the office now. No call to the customer. Maybe I'm old fashioned but when someone is running late you call before your late to inform your customer. Worst customer service from the sales team especially since they have already messed up twice. read more

The tech that came out to my business was excellent! He was incredibly pleasant & professional!!!! He programmed all of out thermostats to work in harmony, clean the coils & ensured everything was working perfectly. We have done business with I C E on several occassions. Today I needed some work done and the company sent Tim and Chad. Talk about great service! Nowadays - how many service employees introduce themselves, greet you with a handshake and are extremley polite? After the work was completed, they had me come look at what they did, explained to me very thoroughly how to operate it, and even made marking for me for future use. I inquired about a service call via their website on Saturday evening and received a phone call first thing Monday morning. The representative was super friendly and informative. She was willing to work with my crazy Monday schedule. Lee showed up exactly on time and patiently waited for me. He was the 1st contractor out of the 3 previous HVAC contractors to actually take his time to find the actual problem. He performed the fix efficiently and was a true professional.
