Short: You definitely will receive the most personal shopping experience of your life. What? Am I sure? Yes. I. Am. Whatever notion I had about firecrackers, immediately dissipated. This mom/pop are just as they say they are-a mom & a pop with a retail fireworks store. I was immediately met with enthusiasm, passion, & knowledge. Some of the best things I'd say, wouldn't you?!? Of course you would:) Short story long: Decided that a Sunday drive from Mooresville IN to Brownsburg IN might be nice. It was a beautiful day & all. A week before Father's Day & Independence Day coming up, we had the mindset of let's do a look see. We were interested in the hype of an IRL professional firework establishment. Wowers. This IS quite the place. Hello everyone. How goes it? Wanting to mix it up this year to celebrate the things in your life? Look no further, this place is a hidden gem. My oh my where does the time go? Besides yesterday =] . That's all I've got for my pre Happy Father's Day & July 4th jokes today. You're welcome ;). Speaking of Father's Day, July 4th, & other celebrations. I'm more into the mom/pop places these days than ever. Indy Fireworks is such a venue. You'll naturally feel the passionate energy of both Gina & Randy upon walking in their store. There ya go folks. Welcome to your day on Yelp. Yelpers just simply know from their yesterdays. Whoop whoop! We try stuff. If we like like it, we'll say so. When we don't, you'll see why. When the stuff is LOVE LOVE LOVE, you'll feel it too while absorbing the experiences. So... In the event you're wondering, "What shall I do for the dad in my life AND help him celebrate Independence Day" snafu. Or you say you've got a gender reveal, Indy Fireworks has that too. If you're not into the norm but still interested in commemorating a life of a dad mb someone else Indy Fireworks has this one item that still is endearing. Lots of pyrotechnic stuff. Did someone suggest road trip?!!? First, don't freak out. I get it. You may still want to support mom & pop establishments but don't know the special places out of the hustle & bustle. I betcha the day you're having right now is a big Mr Yuk. People. Traffic. People messing up in traffic. Traffic causing people to mess up. Why is this person signaling right when they drove left situations. Did I turn the stove off this morning to what am I doing for today's dinner? Secondly, breathe. The dad in your life is a kind person who also appreciates breathing so, please repeat step one :). Lastly, mb consider in doing a road trip & see all the wonders that aren't in your wheelhouse in your Indy area?!? Why not? Perhaps you'll find a new fav?!?Using the Yelp's map feature, the Waze app, or GPS'g the address on your navigation system outta inform you of your ETA. I'd highly recommend preforming your own solo concert in your car. That's right, inside your own car all the way to Indy Fireworks. Whatever happened earlier that got your goat up isn't in your car with you. You being on this mission may become the ray of sunshine in your celebration extravaganza event. Never know unless ya try! If you're here in Indy & trying your best being fiscally responsible while trying to figure out what may wow the dad in your life or possess the notion that I wanna do something differently funky for July 4th this year but my options are so this is here while carting your way to the milk aisle just won't do, perhaps Indy Fireworks will become your go to?!? Run off sentence much...yes & yes., I do know better. Just a thrilled a little lot that's all. :) Hope that in the event you're into fireworks or something uniquely inspiring that if Gina helps you, you'll be in great care. Have fun all. Be safe & stay well, Amy

They shortened hours on Labor Day. From the outside, the place seems small with bigger items typically outside to grab drivers' attention. They have a variety of (new and used) merchandise including furniture. It is like a Goodwill store but more organized. I was told that the items were donated, and they do not have sales. I bought a lap desktop with folding legs and section holders; it would be so helpful especially when I tend to find writing utensils that have fallen between the couch cushions. Also, a green long-sleeve dress shirt caught my eyes so I had to go look at it, which happened to fit me; how could I resist buying this name-brand, attractive shirt! I used that coupon for the shirt, so I got more savings than for the desktop. There seem to be a couple of spots I would like to try to wash out of the shirt. So both $5 or less. Sold! When I got home, I realized that maybe the shirt was new because there was a spare button attached. I will see if the ink on the sleeve comes out. I think the store changed its name to Noble Cause (but still led by the Society of St. Vincent de Paul) and did change their hours to M, T, Th, and F 9-3 with Wed. and Sat. only to serve from the Society of St. Vincent de Paul's food pantry. I would return when and if convenient but definitely if I get a coupon.

Wheeler is a much better place to donate than Goodwill because they value what you donate and treat…read moreyour items with respect. They do not run big outlet locations like Goodwill where they dump donations in huge bins for people to root through and damage. You can drop off items behind their store, or in off hours bring them into the store. They so not spend tons of money on fancy TV commercials and fancy stores. Their profits go to directly serve homeless people and those with substance addiction problems. I personally know one of the people they helped to turn their life around. Please make the little extra effort to go to their thrift store which is east of the super Walmart on 96th to shop and donate. Help this small organizarion continue to do good work in our community.

This location is on the same side of the road as the Walmart and in the same plaza as the Petco, Platos, and the Autoparts store. The staff are super nice and there are a lot of volunteers walking around as well. I have found several things that are new with tags (priced accordingly), tons of name-brand goods, and there is rarely that funky thrifted smell that permeates everything you get from the WMS. They have everything from clothes to furniture/household goods to really nice jigsaw puzzles. Everything is super easy to find. Prices here at the Mission Store are a little higher than places like Goodwill, but every purchase supports the Wheeler Mission by providing meals and funding for training to their residents. There are also hand-made candles and other wares that the residents make while staying at Wheeler for purchase. Once while shopping I noticed it was busier than normal and the associate explained that they allow Wheeler residents to come and shop for what they need to get back on their feet. COOL!

In an economy like we have this day in age, it's thrift shops like this that keep people sane and being able to shop for something nice without feeling like you're wallets being squeezed for every penny. They're not just good prices, they're fantastic for family's who need a little more bang for their buck and you still walk out feeling like a winner cause they've got great stuff.
